Taishiroku stood to his feet and slapped his hands together ready to get this tedious training over with. The hand-signs once again began to flow through him. He could feel his chakra rising from his body as he was performing the handseals. Then, the sure-tell sign it was working appeared.. The smoke...
Within the grasp of the smoke was 2 entities. One slowly began to move away from the other and the other moved in the opposite direction. Then their directions changed and they headed back toward one another. As the smoke dispersed he began to see his full fledged clone running around as he was but toward him.
Kaboof!!
The 2 ran into each other and the weaker of the 2 dissintegrated into chakra, filling the air with smoke!
"I DID IT ZEPHYR!! or should i call you sensei?..."

Taishiroku was officialy done with his training. He walked over to Zephyr with a smile and sat down beside him. He rested his head upon the knee of his "teacher" and smiled happily. He yawned a bit before closing his eyes not wishing to perform the jutsu anymore. Soon he could feel his body become heavy. Slowly... He drifted back upon the ground before his eyes opened once again forcing him awake. He jerked his body forward and yawned a bit..

"Keep rolling out the scroll." Zephyr piped in. "Kawarimi's right below: the last of the three fundamental techniques." A pause. "Hm...it's pretty simple actually. And interestingly...this will also be your first time running into sealess Jutsus..." His voice trailed off, before Zephyr began explaining. "You see, even Ninjutsus is divided into three differing categories: the normal double-sealed Jutsus you see everyday, the sealess techniques like Kawarimi...and the rarer one-handed or single sealed Jutsu that dual elemental manipulators usually use." A pause. "I don't mean dual elemental manipulation as in having two differing chakra affinities either. It's equivalent control of two elements, to create a "new" element off the chart. For example...my Mokouton and your friend's Hyouton are dual elemental manipulation types."
"If we follow the normal restrictions for Ninjutsu, it would take probably forever to perform nature manipulation for one affinity, balance it, and then do the same for another. By using our kekkai genkai as a medium, dual elemental manipulation clans shortens or condenses seal length...into what you see as sealess and single-sealed Jutsus. In actuality..." Zephyr was referring to the little Mokouton trick he did earlier. "If I form out all the seals for Mokouton, it'll probably be over a hundred or so..."
"So, as you can see. Seal pattern length doesn't really matter. Even chiisai-hime's clan. If you have seen chiisai-hime perform Byakugan, it would take her around thirty-two or so seals to activate her doujutsu. But for her mother, it takes one - or can even be forced out at will." A pause. "Thus in fact...not all techniques need handseals. Seals are only a shortcut to learning, their role in the Jutsu process is generally chakra direction. In the end, it all comes down to a question of strength."
Zephyr wagged a single finger, warningly. "Some clans and bloodlines do have an edge over chakra control. But don't get the wrong idea. Chakra control can be strengthened simply by a matter of practice." A pause. "In Kawarimi, very much like the Henge's purpose, you create a layer of chakra around your whole body. Except in this case..."
"In this case, you're not manipulating your appearance. Your body, with the chakra film, is the medium...while you also create a target - generally an object around your size - and also wraps that target in chakra. But you will have to carefully pick an object...if it's not around your size, the technique wouldn't work. In other words...this is also the first manipulation of time/space bending that you will be working with in the future: in the form of Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker), and the Kuchiyose (Summoning) forms. In fact...they're very similar. The area you have enclosed off is the starting point for a 'ritual ceremony', while the targeted area is an ending point. Hence, you will be able to switch places with an object."
Silence now.
"Any questions? If not, you may begin."
Quote: Kawarimi no Jutsu (Replacement Technique) This is a technique that usually confuses the attacker. Sakeme walked after him onto the water. "Oh, so you use your reflection to cast it against yourself? That's... interesting..." She would remember that for later... as she had other jutsu to learn. That must mean we can hurt ourselves with the genjutsu... that would be the 'full' effectiveness... Sakeme formed the horse seal, she figured she might as well do it as her sensei was taught, and stared at her reflection hoping for something to happen. She pictureed the area around herself and then started walking, focusing the chakra into her mind while looking at her reflection. Turning around, she looked down past her face. Wasn't that log about three feet away? A small smirk appeared on her face that Shikamori would see.

Taishiroku listened intently upon Zephyrs words. His mind absorbing everything that Zephyr was saying and taking it all to heart. His smile slowly widened before he lunged for the scroll and opened it up further revealing the new jutsu. He laugh with a soft chuckle that barely escaped his lips before he stood up.
He stood there staring down toward the instructions and began to perform the proper hand-signs. As he was performing the handsigns he could feel his chakra move through him from the depths of his body. His eyes glanced around frantically before they finally met the shape of a rock around his size exactly. He smiled before feeling his body become squeezed and his stomach churned. A puff of smoke...
He felt as if he was being whipped around but as he opened his eyes he noticed he was sitting in the same location the rock was. HE looked at the other puff of smoke and saw the smoke dissipate revealing the actual rock!!
"Yatta!"
________________________________________________
Taishiroku soon began to perform the same handseals that he once used. Except for... something was different.. Though he was performing the hand seals he could not feel any chakra flowing through him what-so-ever.
He shook it off a bit and decided it was best to start over from the beginning. He slapped his hands together and allowed the thick enegy of his chakra flow through his body. His smile slowly faded as it came time for him to concentrate.. May a little too much?
He looked around frantically trying to find some sort of object for him to exchange with but he quickly noticed a small group of rocks that could possibly amount to his weight. He smirked as he could feel the chakra pulse inside of him trying to reach out but to no avail did anything occur..
Maybe he was concentrating to hard? Or he needed to relax.

"Correct." Replied the Nara. "It is a convenient exercise, allowing one to train both the strength of their illusions and their ability to defend against them simultaneously...however, it can potentially be a double edged sword." A pause. "In other words...you must be absolute sure of your own Genjutsu strength. The Uchiha clan who originally developed this method could use this training technique safely, because their Sharingan allowed an edge, and even if they would've fallen slightly short would not end up mentally damaging themselves." Shikamori crossed his arms. "But do not worry so. If something goes awfully wrong, I can inject my chakra, which would end the illusion."

Taishiroku stood there glaring toward the shifting sands that blew with the wind. A deep growl grew deep within his stomach flowing from his body erupting from his throat with an agitated undertone. His previous attempt was unsuccseful but still... did damage greatly to his ego.
He slapped his slender hands together and began to form each hand sign perfectly in execution making sure that each one came together with percision and accuracy. A smile coming to his face as he couyld feel the chakra grow within his body. Would he be able to perform the jutsu once again?
His eyes darted between objects before noticing a flock of birds. He was curious. He laughed to himself inside of his mind as he could feel the chakra pump faster and reach out but... it grasped at nothing.. The jutsu had once again failed. ---------- Kawarimi no Jutsu DC: 13 Successes: 1/3

Taishiroku walked toward his previous location hoping to get a better view. He yawned a bit to himself as he walked. His eyes darting around the land-scape... Scanning.. and searching for the perfect item.
He found it.
A small tree branch was broken off of the limbs of a much larger tree. The tree branch was surrounded by Fungi growing off of the plant With the ocmbined weight and hieght of the Fungi AND the Branch it should come to be equal to his own.
He chuckled to himself before just extracting the chakra from his body but completely forgetting the hand seals needed to perform the jutsu at his level. He sighed a bit to himself and walked over to the scroll to read over it again before started the training back up...

((Resting post))
He slowly moved his body onto th ground before landing with a thud. His eyes grasping the content of the scroll. He reached forward and grasped the edges of the scroll bringing it to his face. His eyes now close enough to the page to see through the scroll.
There he sat for a good 5 minutes simply reading and looking over the Jutsu. His nopse dragging across the surface of the page as he moved. To those looking from the opposiing side it would look like the words were trying to bust out of the scroll from behind.
He decided it was enough studying of the jutsu and slowly placed it beside him before standing..
Maybe he should attempt it again?..

Taishiroku slowly began to rotate his head around in a circle before finally bouncing his body up and down. He was trying to recirculate his blood flow to try and help his training.. If it did help.
He decided to turn his back to the scroll after studying the scroll for so long and looked toward the branch wrapped in fungi. He raised his eyebrow curiously and smiled with deviant means..
He attempted to flow the chakra through his body the same way he did through the hand seals. He tried to reach out with his chakra and grasp the log but he could not feel the cling between them. The force he had once felt that propelled him through space was never present..
_________________
He shook his head from side to side form his previous embarrasment. What was he thinking? He couldn't have possibly used the jutsu with no seals. He could barely do it with seals. So once again...
His hands stung as they clapped together. His fingers sliding between one another, the palms rolling across the other. His forearms straight before..
He blanked..
He could not remember at all what his next hand seal was to be. He thrusted his left hand forward to meet his forehead and with great dissapointment he failed the Jutsu through forgetfulness.

Taishiroku sighed in frustration and sat upon the ground angrily. he threw his fist toward his thigh and could feel the sudden flow of pain rise through his body. The anger rising in his body was soon soothed as he was reminded of how every other Shinobi had to go through this training..
He closed his eyes and placed his hands together. His legs criss-crossed as he began to black out his mind. The only thing he was focused upon was creating a single black pond in the darkness of his mind. Soon he could invision a single drop of water fall upon the the pond.
Ripples...
The ripples that flowed across the edges began to move.... and so did his hands. The chakra began to flow through his body once again but he never focused upon a single object. His chakra wildly reaching out and grapsing nothing..

Taishiroku opened his eyes slowly and stared out into the emptiness of the canyon. His eyes moving toward the log covered with Fungi. He sighed and decided he should attempt the jutsu once again.
His mind still completely enraged form not being able to complete it but he attempted to shake it off as his hands stumbled through the seals. He sighed feeling a bit lazy before his chakra grasped around him feeling at the air... nothing was big enough.
His sucky hand seals resulted in... the absense of chakra and the strength of the chakra itself. ---------- Kawarimi no Jutsu DC: 13 Successes: 1/3

Memories... Family.. Friends.. Happiness was all defined by him becoming stronger. He needed to do this. He needed to make his father proud and his mother happy. This was his dream.. It was too become true unless... He couldn't perform this single damn jutsu He slapped his hands together as the chakra flew through his body in the instant. His mind was completely wiped clean and he could sense the chakra flowing through him. His eyes focused upon the Fungi log, and so was his chakra. In the blink of an eye the puff of smoke appeared... He was gone. He could feel the twisting and churning of his body through space. Even though it was just a couple of seconds the feeling it would give to his body seemed to last. He finally switched positions with the log.. ______________________ Taishiroku laughed in triumph over his victroy from the past. He only had one more to go. He could not mess this up. He slid his left foot behind his right and pivoted his body toward the rock he switched with earlier. He smirked happily before his lips curled into a wide smile. His hands glasped togetehr and the speed at which began to perform the hand seals was unreal. He could not beleive the speed at which he was moving. He grasped the item with his chakra before the hand seals were completed and as he executed the last sign the puff of smoke was instant.. The smoke was instant and so was his movement. He could not feel the turning or twisting of moving through space or any reprocutions. He smiled happily to himself as he pivoted back behind him and waved a cheerful hand toward Zephyr. "What next? "Very good." Kawarimi had taken a little longer than Bunshin no Jutsu had, however... "You did well. Kawarimi is rather difficult to master." Kind words...warm encouragement. The Senju king was not a brutal teacher like the Elders of his own clan, or his student, princess Yokou's, for that matter. Zephyr quickly considered the last two techniques. "Nawanuke no Jutsu or Kakuremino hn..." His face betrayed nothing...but Zephyr felt annoyance tug at his mind. This was a problem. His strength was something akin to insane...there would be no way, if he makes the knots, that the boy would be able to get free...
"Well...let's do Kakuremino then." Zephyr pulled out the same small item summoning scroll from earlier, bit down on his thumb and drew a line across the blank paper. In a puff of smoke, several types of invisibility cloaks had fallen onto the ground, with different patterns of rock formations. "Hm...I don't really consider this technique a necessity, but if I'm not mistaken..." His voice trailed off. "Last I checked, it was a requirement."
"So. Kakuremino no Jutsu. A rather primitive form of Meisai Gakure no Jutsu. Except, here...considering the Academy Students do not have fully developed chakra reserves...are hence inept for the advanced form. Simply, they do not have the necessary chakra to maintain actual invisibility." Zephyr gestured to the cloaks on the ground. "Invisibility in this case is actually using those cloaks to blend in with the environment. But keeping in mind there would never be a perfect blend from cloth...chakra is used to mask edges, make certain rock, fence, or building wall patterns make more realistic...a sort of Henge variation, if you wish to think of it that way."
"You are to take the cloak and hide while I count to 10... Begin."
Quote: Kakuremino no Jutsu (Cloak of Invisibility Technique) This jutsu is where one uses a cloak or a piece of cloth to make oneself blend in with the background, interpreting oneself invisible. Cp cost: 1 Damage: N/A Requirements: Learn in the academy. Training days: Academy time. Special: Add chakra mod to your Hide check.
Kakuremino no Jutsu You will do 1d20 + Hide skill. For Zephyr...to make this more feasible, I will be using pure dice rolls, though in actuality...Spot should be added to it. In other words... For a success to count...your roll must be more than what Zephyr rolled. Successes: 0/3

He smiled at Zephyr and acknowledged the fact that this jutsu was a lowl leveled mimicry. He walked up to Zephyr and sat down at his feet before tapping Zephyrs knees softly.
"Can we sit down and rest for a while? I am a bit drained from chakra... and i was wondering if there was ever a way to increase it or will i just always be this low on energy?.."
He sighed a bit. If he was only to ever have this amount he was to die most surely in battle. Hopefully this was not the case.

"Certainly, that is fine." Though, the Hokage never sat. He stood there, as stilly as a statue, arms crossed in a pose of confidence... The aura around him serene. Now that this was apparent noticeable... How odd. Around someone as wild as Zephyr...this calmness... The Hokage looked nonchalant, the gaze casted towards the distant mountain range becoming almost melancholy. It should strike Tai how similar then...just how similar Zephyr was like to Shin. With the calm and power...there was also a certain sadness, a certain wistfulness mixed in. The breeze of the zephyr shifted, his cape becoming billowing ripples, and long dark locks, though the breeze couldn't wholly move, at least sifted through long bangs and sideburns.
But what would struck...his expression was just like Shinratsu, when the boy was in a musing daze. Long eyelashes in a half-lidded gaze, porcelain features...almost like a doll. And even though Zephyr had displayed insane physical strength...here too...here too. Even with the Hokage, there was a certain barely noticeable fragility.
"You shouldn't worry about chakra so much." Came the quiet response. "At this stage, it is natural some classmates may be clearly superior in the chakra reserves they carry. But do not worry. As you grow closer to your prime, and train tirelessly...your chakra reserves will certainly grow." It would be unnecessary to tell the full story, how certain lines naturally develop chakra at a swifter rate.
