Sodain didn't make a sound as Kallista grunted furiously. "Well looks like I have I can't use the laser saw yet without the battery so I guess I will just need a regular saw to have my fun with you prin...cess oh Hello who might you you be? And where did that plaything of mine get off too." She said cooing not realizing Kino was watching, Her deep purple eyes twitched lightly.

Sodain simply watched Kallista for a moment before answering. "Oh I let her go. though I should thank you for all the work you did for me in showing her the error of her ways. But when an innocent we are to protect shares in a link, specially a when that linked one id the daughter of your employer. one would normally stop the torture to find out exactly why there is a link like that. Not wanting to anger your employer by inadvertently killing his daughter. But as the finding on your computer suggest you knew of this connection and still proceeded." Sodain said softly her eye twitching more.

"You let my prize go! Oh well I suppose you might be fun to toy with in her stead." She said getting ready to move closer to attack Sodain, A distorted look on her face showing. Sodain spoke in the language of the shadow clan "Try me ex guardian Kallista. I am here to deal with you for your behavior towards the new head of the clan." Her face deeply distorted pulling back with a wide monstrous grin as she tried to control the straps to capture and pin Sodain down which a small energy blast from him like an aura set fire to the straps. She shrieked at this pucking up a large cleaver rushing Sodain he moved and in a flash of dark silver a single sword appeared in his hand as her arm wilding the meat cleaver flew off with a sickening thud only shadow energy whipped about from where blood should have squirted out.

She stopped glaring as energy shot out connecting from her shoulder to where her arm lay ripping the arm back to her and mending the wound. "Your good but that won't stop me you can't kill me..." Sodain smirked his tone growling like a reptile "Oh no? Are you sure about that?" He said putting his hood down showing the dragon scales and eyes as he did this she backed up trying by throwing a ball of shadow at Sodain which just bounced off him.

Kallista screamed in sheer anger her scream sounding like a distorted echoing voice at Sodain as she rushed again this time Sodain putting his hand like a o shape and fire bellowed and belched forward glowing oddly only enveloping her as she stood there burning laughing insanely. "I told you can't kill.... what the hell...." She said the fire not going out and Sodain sighed. as the fire wasn't going out nor was it triggering the sprinklers. Sodain pulled out a dagger with a blade forged from shadow crystal as he got up walking towards the door holding it out "Here I did all I can my heart is not pure like yours is. all you need to do if pour in your most happy thoughts into it and pierce her heart here." He said pointing on the shadow form in the hallway's chest between hears and stomach. "The distortion moved her heart between her ribs and stomach. The flames will not hurt you Kino.They just are burning her shadow powers away. Put that thing that once was human out of its misery."

Kallista stood still unable to move hearing the name Sodain spoke an expression on her face of 'oh s**t.' As Sodain walked out of the room. "Help her find the peace her soul was refused." He said softly moving next to Kala and waited for Kino watching. Kallista stammered a bit. Kino my love you can't do this, think of how much I mean to you. how much you love me." She said trying to put on her sweet voice act for him to coo to him but because of the dragons fire her voice was distorted demonically.

Back at the shadow clan temple Ryo remained close to Sil comforting her. "It's going to be alright we will figure out something so you can practice without disruption." He said hugging her softly.

Sodian shook his head. "I don't betray those I show loyalty to. I promised your father to help you both to see the truth instead of what you seen things as. You are not monsters to call you monsters is to place false claims two two confused, hurt and heart broken individuals. Your father actually showed as much praise to you as he did to silvia. But you let what others outside the head house of the shadow king effect your minds. Do you both recall that little smudge mark that never washed off or went away like if it was a bruise?

That was actually a mental distortion vex someone placed on you both. Because Others in the entire shadow clan praised Silvia but sneered at the two of you. Your father actually shown more praise and attention to both of you more then he actually showed Silvia. He did show her praise and attention but to Silvia he seemed to favor you both over her. I know she told me how she felt unappreciated by her and your father. Wanted to know what was so special about you two, She felt just as much spite for both of you as you did her because of that vex mark. It made it seem to you the praise ratio was the opposite of what it was. He praised Silvia little to make up for the rest of the clan favoring her, and sneering at you two. His plan was to show you more praise and attention then he did silvia to make up for the lack of praise from the clan." Sodain said looking to them.

Then he with his hood back showing his fangs and dragon eyes to them. "I am a literal beast. Your mother....." Sodain said closing his eyes a little sighing. "Rest her soul. Was like a sister to me. I hardly told anyone but when my mother gave birth to my egg as well as 49 siblings eggs the elder council then of the fire sky clans or dragon clans if it's easier. Walked in held my mother down making her watch them crush all the eggs they could find.But somehow though I seen myself crushed and trampled as well I was given a second chance to live unlike any of the rest of my siblings. And I felt something and in a crack in the dirt floor I dug the ground loose revealing a single additional egg unharmed and unhatched. I was small for a hatchling.

But I only have a brother, out of 50 offspring who never had a chance to live I had only one sibling and mother entrusted that egg and the raising of him to the grand Magus of the twisted towers. It was not until a year or two ago that I first met my brother face to face, Only being 14 ages old for a dragon. Losing my mother and father, not knowing my brother I grew up an outcast among dragons. Your mother found me one night I lay beaten by other younger but much larger dragons I was near death and she took pity on my. Nursed me back to health inside the temple of shadows. She and I grew so close it was like she was my older sister. I am actually your godfather as well. And I made your mother change her mind on what she was going to name the two of you." Sodain said shuddering at the memory. "Beatrice and Bethany." Sodain said drolly eyeing them then stopped talking for a while as he let them take in all he just told them.

Sodin shook his head. "I know, when I said to give her peace I was meaning to kill the living shadow inside her and separate her from it. Though with your resentment you hold towards someone like me I knew you would do the opposite most likely as doing what you want. I did not exactly tell you how you should do it. I did not order you I advised you Kino. You have the purest heart here and you was able to save the human half of her. If my heart was pure I would have done it myself. But I can not kill the living shadow without a purified heart. I shall pass on the message to Ryo and Sil. Though weather they do or not I can not guarantee. Though at this place I will be taking this one to. Sil can learn to control her shadow magic. Which is not the same as Kalista's thankfully." Sodain said bowing his head taking the dagger back pocketing it.

Then Sodain looked to Kala and Kalia. "Come let us depart." He said walking them out and off to the temple. Once getting close Sodain stopped and looked to Kalia and Kala. "I do have a question Kalia. Since Kala won't tell me. Back when before you was well hell bent on hurting Silvia Whom of the two of you placed the love letters at my door? And was there meaning behind the words other than planning to try hurt Silvia by causing a rift in the relationship she and I had? I want the truth so I can settle this question as to why in my own mind." Sodain asked softly looking to the two of them in one body.

"Not that the reason matters much anymore I just would like an honest answer behind them. That is if it was one of you who wrote them. I suspect it was one of you since it was hand writing similar to Silvia's which only the two of you wrote the same way as Silvia that I know of, Yet someone said they seen one of you having believed they had seen Kala putting them at my door. So I have unresolved questions behind it. It is okay if one of you was true to the words in those letters. I am not upset by it, However it has plagued me all this time." Sodain said softly offering a kind smile to them.

Sodain listened nodding "I see Thank you for the truth Kalia. That question that burned a my brain for so long has cooled now. Though the words in those letters made me smile." He said then continued on approaching the door and placing a hand on Kalia walked in past the barrier as it chimed softly. Bringing Kala and Kalia back inside walking around to the main hall. "Feel free to get food from the kitchen. Just don't eat the glowing food." he said warningly looking around not seeing Ryo or Sil raising a brow. "Hey Corin where did Ryo and Sil go off to?" He asked out of curiosity.

Sodain pondered a bit. "Hmm that is odd, Well she might be asking all sorts of questions like silvia did. If you recall she was a very curious person. Took 3 days just to get the first 2 rooms done on the tour. Not that I am comparing her to Silvia on purpose mind you I just never knew anyone else that quisitive about soooo much." Sodain said and turned walking off to see about finding them to see if everything was alright.

Ryo and Asuru walk slowly out of a doorway. "This place is quite fascinating to say the least. I just hope Sil will adjust well here, She seems actually rather calm and has said this place was oddly familiar though she never been here, she know what a few of the rooms was for before you spoke it. Which was a little spooky...?" he said stopping looking to Sodain who had a odd raised eyebrow. "Oh Sodain is something the matter?" Ryo said pondering.

Aodain sighed a little. "Where is Sil? I ran into someone who had a message for both of you." Sodain asked and Ryo bit his bottom lip. "Well Asuru told her to try the bed out, which was nicely preserved more than other furniture. So she laid on it and in seconds fell deep asleep. Why what was the message?" Sodain sighed. "Kino says to return to the mansion asap. Else he might have to come after you." Sodain said softly and turned to walk away. Ryo was blinking shocked.

Sodain looked to Kalia "What? No Sil is the new clan head picked by Asuru himself. But she is to come and go if she pleases Kalia. Though I would prefer she not leave until she was better in control of her power, and to see if there was a way to keep you two and Sil from being linked before she leaves. Though I won't hold her against her will. I just told Kino I would tel Ryo and sil the message that they was wanted back at the mansion for whatever reason Kalia. I neither told him I would send them or keep them. It is up to them to choose." Sodain said and then looked to Corin.

"Corin this Kino I don't know much about him, The only thing I know is his blood smells like Asuru's blood. And he smells similar to the Diyoshi clan. He is also Kalista's husband. He was shocked to see the effect of the cursed living shadow inside her. He destroyed it sparing the human side Kalista had still. the human side of Kalista was who he married. Which means Kalista is now purely mortal and human again. And has no shadow powers. It will also likely erase her past memories of this place. All I know is Kino's presence pushed the living shadow inside Kalista back from being dominate. Anything else of this Kino is a mystery to me..." Sodain said having an ability to sense people and read them but was baffled regarding Kino. "... I wasn't able to read Kino." Sodain said looking to Kalia.

"There I told him what was on my mind happy now?" Sodain said plain and shook his head. "Though when I told him what of how his blood smelled he seemed emotionless, But seemed to understand what I told him. His heart did quicken a little though when I mentioned Asuru's name." Sodain said looking to the restraint shackles and collar on Kalia moving swiftly they sparked and crackled then fell off Kalia completely broken. "I will be keeping my eye on you both try anything funny and I will make you regret it." Sodain said to Kalia. "Still I can't believe your mother wanted to call you those horrible names." Sodain shuddered recalling it again then looked away from Kalia.

Ryo sighed, "I can't take her back right now even if Sil wanted to go, She has had a trying day and is deep asleep now so I would hate to disrupt her sleep And then there is the fact my motor bike is broken. Got his by a destabilizing energy pulse. So I have to fix it which might take all night. And my radio don't work out here. So I can't notify them exactly." Sodain sighed reaching into his pocket tossing Ryo his sat phone and said. "Mine has been tweaked a bit so it works here. Use it to call them then." Sodain said and looked to him flusteredly. Sodain then got up going outside a shadow orb appearing to behind Kalia opening showing a dragon eye watching her.

Ryo fiddles with the phone trying to figure it out as he went to another archway figuring it out calling the dispatch number at the mansion. Soon Sodain walked inside carrying the heavy bike under one arm setting it down. Then Sodain sat in the stone throne like chair sighing sounding tired.

Sodain nodded a bit. "Thank you Corin. It's just I have been up for let last 5 days without much sleep, I actually look forward to the challenge of looking after you Kalia. After all I did promise your sister that I would look after you her twin daughters Bethany and Beatrice." He said smirking watching her stifling a shudder at the names teasing them by using the names their mother was going to name them.

Asuru shuddered at those names. "Awful names those two Sodain." He said giving a warning glare to Sodain as if to not ever mention them again. But looking at Corin he nodded. "Well I have kept an eye on lineage. There had been the first Kino Logari Diyoshi that I know of which was my great great grandfather, Third great nephew to the king of shadows Osaga Jorion Kundiman Diyoshi. but then there had been 25 Kino's in the line named honorary after my great great grandfather. Which was still named long after I disbanded the shadow clan's teachings after the great betrayal. Sadly none of them had strong enough powers to become the new head of the clan to revive it. The closest person I had met with strong enough powers so far was Sil. Who also had a pure heart which is a quality needed to be the head of the clan." Asuru said eyeing Kalia. "No one has the right to judge people here because of being part beast. My father taught me one thing of great importance.

'Cast not misjudgement upon those who are part beast for we all in one way are worse beasts then the beastly princesses of lady Loshtaria. Yo judge them fore their beast blood only is wrong for we all are the worst beasts of all time. To call them monsters with prejudice while claiming we are not such vile beasts is to deny who we are and taint ourselves and to dishonor of Lady Lashtaria's sacrifice to our clan.' So I will not as when I was the head of the clan in mortal flesh tolerate such disrespect upon the fact that their is blood of the divine beasts in our clan." Asuru said eyeing Leesha who huffed and snorted glowering at Asuru's accusing look.

Sodain ate the food peacefully his eyes growing heavy after he did getting up looking at his bowl suspiciously. Sodain's eyes grew heavy as he swayed then collapsed his body shifting into a dragon form snoring deeply. Odd runes floated around him and one flew off hitting Kalia attaching to her and a few slammed into the walls of the temple making the place glow with a flash spreading about the entire place the shadow eye closing dissipating as well and a barrier glow flashing and chiming over the place.

Asuru eyed Corin oddly. "You put a strong enough sleep drug in his food you brought him did to make him get rest did you?" Corin was the medical doctor of the clan after all and possibly did this so Sodain could get decent rest as well.
