The wounds would come to life then as the sandshrew fall into pieces. It's life was left on the sands ...as it's blood ran out ....as it would literally fall to pieces. It was their first kill, and it was indeed a bloody one.

The girl saw that they had victory for a change, and she almost wanted to jump in her happiness of it. Though it had come with an injury ...it didn't matter so much this time they would be able to continue forward without any problems this time ...as she walks onwards.

The elephant like pokemon would spray sand upon her back as she watches them pass. The battle from before and the sight of the steel bird enough to make her keep her distances. Besides, it wasn't in her kinds nature to suddenly attack ....as she pick up more sand and tosses it over her back in her own mock imitation of a sand bath.

She had no reason to fight a pokemon that wasn't trying to fight her. Besides, it wasn't a Vulpix, and that was the pokemon she was currently hunting. Her footsteps were quick as she moves through the area ...no ..there was only one pokemon she would stop to attack. If it wasn't that pokemon ..she could care less at this moment.

The earth would shake a bit ....as the Drillbur would cut through the ground. Her brother had fallen, her sister had been captured and this human was still run along the grounds completely unopposed. Yet, she wasn't willing to let herself go at that as she looked onwards with a smirk that wasn't anything pleasant.
She would make that creature pay for everything done to her family. Though she wouldn't be able to do that right away ...no she would wait for the right time to strike.

The girl's movements start to slow down a bit ...a rage gave way to reality. It is hot in the desert ..very ..very hot. As she wipe at her forehead for just a moment before something would extend to block it for her. A wing cast over her head as she looks over at the Skarmory in what was a sight of appreciation ....though the way that Suzaku had to care her wings in order to do that didn't look particular comfortable.
Yet the skarmory didn't look over at her ....not one little bit as they continued their walk.

Though there would be no escape this fight ....as a bone would go twirling through the air. Aimed for the girl, a Cubone stood there with his breathing harsh ....as the eyes of the Drilbur watches from the safety of the sands. She had gone a bit ahead and given the sob story of her life to the male ....a creature that understood and hated separation beyond any others.
He had of course come to confront the girl without any sort of hesitation. His speed had almost been too much ...for her to keep up, but she had and she would see one of that girl's pokemon brought to their knees.
And she would personally finish off the other .....or free her ...if it was her sister.

Anyone with any sense would have switched pokemon ....as she saw the incoming cubone. The bone itself being deflected by Suzaku's wings ....as she turns to face her opponent with a swish of her wings. She was ready for this fight as much as any other .....as her tail feathers were spread completely. She looked even more fearsome as he drew her wings back to her side with a slide that sounded like metal being sheathed.
THough it was only for a moment as she would start forward swiftly. Her movements were that of a pokemon at full speed ....as she rushes him. Her eyes glowing once more with that ghostly energy.
She was going to use it again ...that power ...that ghostly strength as an afterimage of her self would appear. An ominous whistling would be heard behind her .....as the pokemon moved to strike with Ominous wind. Her own wings would be thrust at his feet as the attack of her astral projected self would slice from chin to arm with her attack.

[Well... isn't this a warm and familiar sight?]
Claudandas had to wonder just how much he had missed, stuck in that ball while Jasmine had been gallavanting on her adventure... the last he'd recalled, they were still back at that Trapinch!
And now all the way here, back before the open lake and the waiting paths.
He sat prim and proper, looking to Jasmine, speech may not have worked, but the question asked itself.
"Which way, hmm?" Jasmine gave a half grin back at the inquisitive cat's look, "Well... it's pretty much decided already."
She looked to the rock path before them, but still for thoughts' sake looked at the others, "I'm not going underwater with all these bandages and the cast..."
Then she turned to the path highward, "And... I do have Skarmory now who could possibly carry me up the path I was curious last time..."
"But," she settled herself forward, using her crutch to lean onto the next rock, then let herself be stepped across, grinning again as almost immediately Claudandas was aside her, "We have business to settle with an old friend this way."
And so with that, they took their first steps onto the rock path toward the island's center!

Her first steps would yield nothing .....as she would be one step closer to the center. Towards that creature that had tried to send her to her grave ...and yet, somehow the waters seem to stir more than before. As if the thought of her coming back had awaken something in it's depths that had been waiting on her this entire time ....to come back.

The cubone saw her coming and would try to jump backwards. Her wing impaling itself at his feet as eyes that seemed to see beyond what stood before him ....saw her after image's strike. One claw would come up to block the first cut that would have gotten him from chin to shoulder as he pushes it away ...even as he scoops up the bone from the ground .....as he does a roll to the side.
He would stop back upon his feet as he turns towards her ...with a twisting of bone.

It was only good luck that that move hadn't been counter then ....as Suzaku would see that her attack had failed. She would spread out her wings wide ...as she would flush it through the sand sending them flying lightly ...as she seemed to be dancing with that move. Her wings retracting as they arched.
Her eyes narrowed.
((You have chosen a battle you won't win. Why not give up and let us continue in peace))
It was rare that the bird seemed to bother to speak, but she spoke then. Even as she looked at him ready to dart out of the way of any attack that he decided upon.

Claudandas manouevered with ease the rocks, despite his lack of taste with water, he certainly found his fleet feet going back and forth, it was of course Jasmine he had to slow down for.
He wasn't sure quite what it was that made his whiskers stand on end, his fur rustle and his hackles rise... but he was more than willing to make a wager...
But it certainly didn't help the silence: last time it had been he and Lindbergh, now it was just he and Jasmine, he looked back to the girl again. [Are you handling yourself alright?]
Jasmine looked up at a meowing noise and laughed, catching up to the rock as the Purrloin waited for her, "It's okay, I'm just taking my time..."
She let out a sigh of relief, looking around her... last time, it had been such a beautiful place, even as wide and open and empty as it was, the void itself seemed to lend it beauty.
But knowing what lurked here, she breathed deep... just a moment's rest and onward they would go.
"We don't want to hang around too long here."

The Cubone would declares back. His eye would fall upon his opponent ....as he drew his fist back even as flames started to wrap around the limb. His eyes seemed to dance with determination then ...as he thrust it at the bird's chest..

The water would lap against each individual land mass. There was nothing else for it ....to do ...as those pieces of stone were the only remain bits of lands in that vast outstretch of sea. An entire island core carved into nothingness ....as only the water and those scattered pieces remain to help her on her way.
