Charlie jumped as someone tapped his shoulder. He looked around in alarm to see who touched him.
"Um.....are you okay mister?" the hand's owner asked shyly. Charlie started. The girl looked pretty normal, but...
She had short brown hair and was wearing a very girl red dress with ribbons on it. But what made Charlie jump when he saw them was her wings. Feathery white wings protruded from the girl's back, and though they were currently folded, he could tell they were pretty large when fully extended. "You look scared.....and thats not good.My name is Kelly!" she added brightly, beaming at him.
The girl - who looked about his age - looked expectantly at him for a reply.
"H-hi?" he said tentatively. Another girl who wasn't human? he asked himself in his head. Am I the only human here?
"I-I'm Charlie. C-Charlie Wier." Unconciously the boy shifted back a bit in his seat, wiggling a little bit closer to the safety of the corner.

Kelly sort of jumped as well seeing he was frightened."Charlie....Charlie.Thats a pretty name!"The little girl smiled as she noticed he was looking at her wings.Oh....no I bet he think Im weird....Kelly's eyes welded up with tears,just waiting to fall to the floor.She held them back though not wanting to be a baby."I....hope its....okay..Im an angel."One of her wings were white and one was black.The black one had been put there by a curse a while ago.
"I hope I dont frighten you."She had a sad tone in her voice knowing now he didnt like her.The girl shifted in her spot feeling now,a bit uncomfortable.She tugged at the ribbon on her dress,staring at the floor the whole time."Charlie....,who were you running from?"

The girl said that Charlie was a pretty name, and smiled. But her smile faded when she realized that he was looking at her wings. Her eyes began to well up with tears and she sniffed.
"I... hope it's... okay... I'm an angel." she said. Charlie opened his mouth to respond, but ended up being cut off as Kelly continued. "I hope I don't frighten you."
Each avoiding the other's gaze, there was a moment of uncomfortable silence. "Y-you don't frighten m-me." Charlie said quietly. "I-it's just... I'm n-not used to being around o-other... types of p-people."
"Charlie... who were you running from?" Kelly asked. He closed his eyes. "A-a girl... she h-hit me..." He sniffed. Opening his eyes, he looked up at her. He was starting to get over the shock of seeing the wings. Inside him now was a growing curiousity. Are they real? Charlie wanted dearly to reach over and tug on one of the wings, but didn't want this girl to get mad at him too.

Rille shook her head sharply, realizing that she was starting to doze off. Oh no you don't. You've got work to do, kid. She finished the last of her foood quickly, and went up to get another cup of tea, since hers had gotten cold at some point while she stared into space. Walking back to her table, she overheard the young boy a few tables down from her telling another girl that someone had hit him. She stopped, standing by their table with a concerned smile. "Hey, I'm sorry, but I couldn't help overhearing. Are you okay?" The two kids didn't scare her at all, so she didn't have any of her usual problems with talking. She rested her teacup on the edge of the boy's table, hoping she wasn't intruding.

The luminous glow within her optics made his chest rise with satisfaction. Aw, he felt so incredibley special to make her feel that way. Obviously, Simone was not one to show off contentment very often. It made Kale content himself that he had that ability on her. Just as he had with many others. But there was an odd satifaction making Simone happy than any of the other girls. Kale was not sure why, and he did not dwell for very long on the matter.
Kale watched in amusement as she darted off without him, a sly smile planted on his face. "Alright, I will catch up." He called, turning to grab his katana from the picnic table. He had no reason to rush, and Simone could go ahead and eat if she didn't find waiting for him fun. However, Kale was surprisingly a fast runner so, she surely wouldn't have to wait that long. Unless, of course, he felt like torturing her. Lucky for her, Kale was not in that sort of mood right now. In fact, he was quite famished himself.
"Hmmm.." The human mused quietly, waiting till Simone was out of his direct sight. Kale smirked, lifting his katana with his left hand. Both eyes were closed for a moment as the air hung dead around him. Suddenly, his emerald hues began to glow, and his arm swung down abruptly. Almost as if a ball of energy had been forming within him, Kale shot toward the Dining Hall with a shocking amount of speed. His feet moved nearly five times the normal running pace, and it only seemed to grow faster. Everytime his katana moved up and down, the gust of wind would build. Figures were blurred and it took only a moment before he was standing next to Simone inside the Dining Hall. Granted, he had to slow a bit from passing her twice, but the sudden appearence surely puzzled her. Oh well, he liked confusing others. "Shall we get something?" Kale inquired with a casual grin-his eyes twinkled mysteriously in the light.

Kelly felt a little better hearing these words,as a small smile started across her face."Its okay......Ive met lots of people I dont understand here.Its not exactally normal you know....Like Raven-san she is a demon....,Onee-chan a fairy,and one of my only friends is a talking kitty."She smiled as she took out her bear from her bag and gave it a tight squeeze."I dont have many friends....your the first person Ive met besides my baby sitter Saki....."The girl moved her eyes up from the floor to give him an encouraging smile.
She felt a little strange when there was a long pause of silence.She frowned as the words came out of his mouth."She hit you!Thats just mean!That big meanie head she needs to tell you sorry!"Kelly gave a little pout as she grabbed his hand.Her wings fluttered behind her as she came close to him.She got really close to his face and had an aggitated look in her eyes."Where is she Im gonna tell that meanie to say sorry!Your nice you didnt deserve that!"
Kelly sounded determind to make things right between the boy and girl....

Issac walks into the dining hall, holding Faye's hand. He walks into the line and orders a slice of pizza, maccaroni and cheese, and a cup of sweet tea. "Mmm...The food smells so good." he said inhaling the aromas. He waited for Faye to get her food, looking for a table to sit at as he did so. He figured she'd want a table where they could sit alone. He spoted one in the back of the dining hall. "See that empty table in the back there?" he asked. "I'll be over there." he said. He walked over to the table and reserved it for the two of them.

Faye(lol) walked into the dinning hall with him, she hadn't actually ment to hold hands with him, that seemed a little strange. She had never held hands with anyone but Aia when they were kids, she sighed, not much she could do about it now. She blinked as she stood in his place after he went over to a table and wondered what to order. "Can I have some wine?" she asked and then tried her card, it made a small noise but nothing came down. Her eyes twitched in frustration "Fine...give me chocolate milk and a cookie" she muttered. It produced it within seconds and she took it and walked over to where he was.

"So...um. How old are you?" he asksed trying to start a conversation, which he wasn't any good at. What can I do that's not to happy go luck.... he thinks trying to think of a way to impress her. "Okay...here's how it's going to have to go if you want things to work out between us." he said. "First of all, You're going to have to be patient with me. I'm used to being all happy and stuff, so it'll take me a bit to stop that habit. Second, I'm not very good at being romantic or anything because I haven't been in a relationship before." he said. He takes a sip of tea and waits for her to respond. "I can change though..." he whispered.

Faye smiled slightly as she watched him talk, he was going to be different from most that she dated, but maybe she did need a little happy in her life. "I'm 18, and you don't really have to change I guess" she said softly as she looked at him. "I do like to have fun though and I might get a little crazy sometimes...but just ground me when you need to" she said. She wasn't really sure that this was how she wanted to be and then she smirked as she walked over to his side. She sat down in his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck "Let's have some fun though" she said.

Issac blinked. He didn't expect her to do that. "I like having fun and begin crazy." he said smiling. "I think things are going to work out fine between us...Can we continue this after I get done eating? It's hard to eat when someones hanging on your neck." he said laughing. He puts one arm around her waist and uses the other to eat his pizza. "This relationship is going to be....intersteing." he said after he swallowed his food. "But...I don't want either of us to change how we truly are...Just to please each other, okay?" he asked.

Faye smiled as she tugged on his cheek "Your just so cute when your all after-school-special like" she said laughing. She got off of him taking off his arm from around her waist and streatched walking back over to her seat. He didn't really get a word that she was saying but at least he was trying, half the guys she dated knew EXACTLY what she was getting at and definatlly helped. She kind of liked his inoccence, she waited for him to finish eating and drank some of her drink. She did want to do something fun today maybe outside because the inside wasn't all that fun.

Issac gets up and puts his tray away then comes back to the table. "Hey, I was planning to go off campus today, go to the beach or something. Want to come with? It'll just be you and I..." he said. I feel like she's trying to tell me something...and I'm not getting it... he sighs. "Hey Faye. Is there something you're trying to tell me that I'm not getting?" he asked blushing. "Sometimes I can be a little slow and over look things...like hints and such."

Faye blinked as she looked up to him, he was kind of creeping her out that he just asked that so suddenly. She stood up "No...not really...just that if this is your excuse to see me in a bikini all you had to do was ask" she said laughing. She threw away her trash and walked back over to him "Alright let's go, the beach is always the best place to make out" she said jokingly and climbed onto his back as he kept walking. It was going to be fun, he still needed to loosen up a bit more, but she didn't mind that much, she wrapped her arms around his neck and snuggled into him.She had only been to the beach a couple of times and that was with Aia so it would be fun to go. She was already a bathing suit underneth her clothing anyway since she had planned to either go swimming or go to the hotsprings.

The girl went on a ramble about how she knew people who weren't human, and then directly contradicted that by saying that Charlie was only the second person she'd met. Charlie let it go, he was a little to shocked to point this out. All of a sudden she dived forwards and grabbed his hand, saying loudly that she was going to hunt down Mean-Lady. The hand-grabbing took Charlie by surprise, and he instinctively jerked his hand backwards. He was spared having to explain his action by another girl coming up to his table and setting her teacup down.
"Hey, I'm sorry, but I couldn't help overhearing. Are you okay?" she asked concernedly, smiling. Charlie looked at her for a moment, delicately avoiding the angel-girl's gaze. "I-I'm fine..." he said.
Why are there so many girls everywhere? Am I the only guy or something? the boy wondered briefly. He had yet to meet someone of the same gender - or species - as himself. And it was creeping him out.
