Angel- It's pretty simple once you break it down. It's basically turn based and dice roll based. You get to be creative with the roleplaying but who wins or loses is really determined by the dice roll... but you get to make it seem epic. I tried to use Legililmency against the Dueling Club Captain XD. I haven't gotten any good rolls though, but feel free to watch my duel. I wonder if *cough* there's any way perhaps ravenclaw could get nominated for house ponits since we're the ones showing exhuberant interest and effort in the Dueling Club? We do have the strongest showing ^_^ Angels_can_fly2 Thank you both for your hospitality! I really do appreciate it.
Mia: I might join Dueling Club. I read the rules and it seems fairly simple...I think I'll read through a couple of the duels when I can, to see exactly how it works.

Min: Alright, that explains it hee hee. I just remember I saw it and was like O.O I think I made that one...
Angel: You're probably the first person who has looked it over and said it seemed simple. That gives me great hope for the future of the club. Feel free to read through any of the completed duels or any of the currently active ones.
meatball: I'm not allowed to give HP, but I can nominate. These are the guidelines for winning points in the DC:
LadyHealingHands Outstanding prowess in the Dueling Club, also each week an outstanding Spell of the Week is chosen and the winner receives 5 points
*cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*

That's alright, it can be very confusing at first. I didn't understand a word of it until I dueled Grey Gardens. Sometimes it takes doing it to understand. If you think that you might be interested but are too confused, then I would be happy to help in any way. *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*

ScottieBears MiaKitty I'm not allowed to give HP, but I can nominate. These are the guidelines for winning points in the DC:
LadyHealingHands Outstanding prowess in the Dueling Club, also each week an outstanding Spell of the Week is chosen and the winner receives 5 points *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough* Yep, and I'd definitely take her recommendations into consideration since I as a student (that sounds funny to say!) I never participated in the DC...ever. sweatdrop I never played on the Quidditch Pitch either. I always preferred games, contests, theory discussions, and character analysis. That's why we have so many different things at the Haven, so there's something for everyone! biggrin
Anyway, I'm going to be on holiday from the 25th - 29th of July, so I had to say that the poll for the banner contest will close on the 30th, and not the 28th. There's only two more days to enter, so ENTER THE SUMMER BANNER CONTEST ASAP if you want a chance to win House points and 3k! cool

Be sure to vote for your fave banner! whee 2 people submitted theirs late (late for my time zone anyway) so I had to remove the poll and put up a new one. Hence, even if you voted already go do so again! razz

 I has voted...
Hey guys.. I would love for everyone to go to the HP avys thread (the stickied one, not the tektek game) and look at my latest post, I spent a lot of time on it and did research... Gah... I'm turning into Scottie... Anyways, I was really bored and had the idea and it started simple and then turned into this whole mini-project type thing. So you should check it out.
So who all has seen HBP? *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*

That's cool. I didn't see a midnight showing, but I have seen it. I was a little sad that my mom didn't want to go, but I understand why, since Dumbledore dies and my papa was dying. He passed away yesterday around 3. *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*

Oh, Mia! I'm so sorry to hear that! I recently lost my grandpa, and I took it pretty hard. I saw the midnight showing, and I thought it was a really good translation from book to movie, though obviously they had to leave some things out. Overall it was really good, in my opinion.

It's alright, I just need to get myself to Scottie, cry a little on his shoulder, and then I'll be better.
And this one is actually my favorite as far as adaptations go, I don't know why. I think it's because for the first time, I didn't read the book immediately before seeing the movie. All the others I literally finished the book just before getting into the car to go see them, this one I had just finished a few days before, so I didn't bother. *cough* Join Dueling Club at the Haven *cough*

Oh, Mia, I'm so sorry! crying *hugs* heart You said he was "dying," so was his death expected to happen soon? I think it must be terrible to die slowly, however, it gives the person's friends and family time to adjest to the idea of losing him/her even though it's more painful for him/her. There's good and bad in everything, I suppose.
