Purpel_Flame TtheHero Dang! I almost for got to do this! Far be it from me to state the obvious, but there's only...
TWO WEEKS LEFT!
We must be vigilant!
...And to think, i'll be busy with school while I have Brawl... I know I must focus on my studies, but who can pass up playing such a good game? Honestly! 10k Prize!
SKIPETH SCHOOL!
Nah, I can't. But it is college... and I dont have some schedule tha has me going late! And I practically have a hafl day on wednesdays, and NO SCHOOL ON FRIDAYS! I can make the time...
Now my only drawback is... my laptop can get the signal of a neighbors router, yet my Wii can't. It can sniff out the router, but it just won't connect... I feel so behind on my Everybody Votes and Shop channels...

Purpel_Flame 10k Prize! Did you play with the GC controller or Wiimote controls?
If Wiimote, were they good?
Everybody there used the GC controller to no surprise, but I'd assume the Wiimote is pretty limiting.

I'll probably only be using the GC controller, and I will be sticking to one controller if possible, since the input of some techniques may vary depending on how broken in your controller is, like short hopping in Melee. Press too hard on the Y/X button and you'll do a full hop. Press too soft and it won't go down.
The classic controller isn't really appealing to me since the buttons are sort of spread out, unlike the right side of the GC controller, plus you have to have the Wiimote attached all the time, which is a hassle.

Itakio Tatsuman Crap rules, yes. However, I will be competing. Play Brawl early, and have a chance at winning prizes? Hell yes. Besides, it's not like it's going to be hard to win a 1 minute timed match. You could just pick Ike and outlast your opponent. Or Laser Spam with Fox until they can be killed with a forward smash. My problem is only the starting roster. I wanted to be Sonic exclusive in all the tourneys I attend, but that's not an option here. >.>; I guess I'll go with Mario or Lucas. You could probably find somebody with Brawl near your area and play without going to GameStop, in fact I played Brawl myself just yesterday. Where do you live? I'd say Ike is a pretty bad pick. If you're opponent manages to get a kill, it won't be hard stalling for the rest of the match against you (especially since it's Ike). Yeah, it's too bad. Luckily for me, the tournament I went to yesterday already had everything unlocked, hehe. I used Bowser mostly (sometimes Marth for what Bowser couldn't handle) and I actually got pretty far in the tournament. I'd watch out for Toon Link though, he's really annoying, but not nearly as annoying as Pit. Both have extremely spammable projectiles. No chance. I live in a small hick town in Oklahoma. Anyone who wants Brawl doesn't have the means to import it.
Possibly, but the only character I can think of that can without a doubt outrun Ike for a long time is Fox, who is now among the lightest in the game. Most of Ike's moveset is ridiculously powerful, and his Bair is pretty quick. And it's much easier to land with the new Reverse Aerial Rush. Connecting with just about any of Ike's moves at high-moderate damage could kill Fox with no problems.
Oh, and GC controller for me. I'll try the others though.

Oh, and GC controller for me. I'll try the others though. I see Ike as Roy's replacement and Lucario as Mewtwo's replacement... Since Ike is similar to Roy, but has some better moves, I'll be using him partly when Brawl does come out. Roy was one of my subs. Oh, and speakin of speed...Wow, Fox seems slower in Brawl than Melee, doesn't he? I kinda thought Charizard was faster than squirtle, because have you ever seen squirtle run in the show and Charizard fly? Yeah. @Itakio: 30 mins. isn't too long. That's cool that you got to play the game and meet the board. For me, I knew I was going to be using the GC controller since the beginning. I'm used to it, and its not gonna change. Though, which character did you find most comfortable?

Mostly just the ones that played like they did in Melee, so pretty much Marth, and Bowser for giggles. I tried to practice with just a few characters so I would have a better chance at winning though. Next time I'll probably try as many as I can.
