Crow slowly nodded, he beleived her. There of course was the small glimmer in the back of his mind that said she was, but he put it out instantly. He looked at Zarathos and Layna from the corner of his eyes, listening to their news. He blinked at the word 'marriage'. "Wow....You must be happy...."Crow said quietly, watching the two still.

Sounds like your in the same sinking boat... "Oh, well..." He drooped his head, staying silent again for awhile. After a short walk, his legs were getting tired, so he changed into his wolven form, plodding along beside the girl.

Takiko could not help but laugh at what Layna told her. She laughed so hard she was afraid she was going to lose her balance and fall over. After a moment or so, she bent over, with her hands on her knees. Her laughing stopped, but she needed to catch her breath. "Oh... oh my... Layna, Zarathos... Do you even know how to spell 'Marriage'?" Takiko loved making fun of them. Takiko suddenly look frightened when Zarathos told them his age. "Crap! I'm almost as old as you! Dammit!" Takiko was almost the age of Zarathos, and she did not look a day over sixteen.

Runt just looked at her. His plodding stopped and he changed voice box. "I thought i found someone, but it turned out otherwise, and lately I've been missing the Den...but i can't really go back there..." He continued trotting beside her, his tail swishing back and forth naturally as he bounced along.

She growled at Takiko. "Yes. But I'm serious.....we're serious. It's what we plan to do." She bit into her lip harder, but it was to bite back some rather obscene retorts.

Crow stayed quiet, the little voice in the back of his head continued telling him that she was just trying to make him feel better. He closed his eyes for a moment and let out a long drawn out breath. He shook the thoughts away, he shouldn't even been thinking of that. So he masked his small inner pain with a smile.

Astarte smiled as she listened in on the two conversations. A marraige, how nice. She remembered all the marraiges from before she slept. And some of the couples had children. 'What was the name of the twins again?' The asked herself. She smiled sadly again and rested her head on her knees. How she longed for her own child. She laughed the thoughtaway and continued to listen in.

Takiko ignored Zarathos when he spelled marriage. "Dammit, thank you Zarathos, you make me feel old." She playfully glared at him. Suddenly, she felt like something wasn't right with Crow. She looked at him, no longer playfully. "Crow, hun... Are you alright?" He seemed bothered by something.

"Oh, well I'm sorry. I feel the same way. But.....he....was completely different." She stopped walking. Then fell to the ground in tears. She looked up at him. She wiped her tears away. "I'm sorry, you probably don't want to deal with this right now." She stood up and patted him on the head again.

She grinned, touching her sore lip. "I expected as much. Oww." The lip was split slightly, blood beginning to pool in beads of red on the surface.
