My deal? I'm just a man looking to get paid. What about you? Don't see too many chicks with skulls painted on their faces walking around, even in a place like this.

I have magic powers that let me take other people's magic powers. The Cavaleras de Azucar thing is cause I listen to angry music about death and wearing black.

This stuff is terrible, I want a gallon of it!

Taking other peoples powers? Well, s**t. That almost sounds like what I do, if not a bit more spooky. See, I got this talent. I call it "photographic reflexes." Any physical action I see someone do, I can do too. Not having any of the superpowers that come along with the people whose movesets I rip off has its drawbacks, but I do what I can.
So I'm guessing you're hear to collect on the bounty Luthor's put of Darkhawk's head? I mean, why the hell else would you have been meeting with him?

Yeah, that's why I'm here. I could use the money and the diversion. I wonder if we're some kind of alternate universe twins or something, that would be spooky.

Good luck to you, then. Don't be too upset when I kill him first.
*takes another swig of his beer, starting to relax.*
Alternate universe twins? I wouldn't bet on that. I figure you've got a bit more in common with that chick from the X-Men who steals people's abilities when she touches them.

It's a lot of money, enough that I wouldn't mind splitting it a couple ways to get the job done. What's an X-Men?

I'd consider splitting the pot if I thought it was gonna be all that difficult. I got the drop on the little b*****d the other day. Could've taken him out in a heartbeat if his damn lady-friend and her wolf pack didn't start interfering.
An X-Man? Heh. I ain't no expert. You really want to know, ask the walking fur-coat next time he's around.

Isn't that why they always win though? Because bad guys keep stabbing each other in the back when they'd get so much more out of just sticking together and doing s**t right?

You hit that nail right on the head. That's why when it comes to handling big picture things, guys like Lex or Norman Osborn will completely self-destruct. Me though? Nah. I ain't a mover or a shaker. I ain't even a "bad guy." I'm a morally bankrupt mercenary who will do whatever it is you need if you can write a big enough check.
If I'm going after a guy like Brainiac 5 - which I think I just might be after I take care of this situation - then yeah, maybe a team-up is in my best interest. But Darkhawk? The guy's C-List at best, and he can only hide behind his little suit of armor for so long.

I'm a mercenary too. The heroes are gonna get together, dude. Blowing up that shack might piss them off and slow them down a little, but they aren't going to leave him twisting in the wind for us to just pick like an apple.

So far they have. I ain't seen a single damn one of them try to stop any of the attempts on his life so far, fairytale princesses notwithstanding. Maybe they think we can't pull it off, or maybe they're just too wrapped up in their own s**t to care. Either way, by the time they manage to pull their heads out of their asses and work together, Powell'll already be six feet under.
