Novel of Tragedy Farferalloie Novel of Tragedy Farferalloie Novel of Tragedy So i'm starting lessons with a new teacher in a little over a week (she's the best flute teacher in my state). My mom's a little annoyed, because she costs $50/hour, but whatever. Hehe, that's about right. xD The friend I keep tell you about, her teacher costs, I think, 45 and hour and 30 for a half an hour. Yeah, it seems most of the really good teachers cost about that. My mom was only annoyed because I was originally going to take lessons with the other best flute teacher in the state, and she only cost $40/hour, but then I decided to be with this one. I'm kind of nervous though, because I'm always nervous when I work with new people. Oh, woops, I meant 30 dollars for forty five minutes. xD She doesn't do half hour. They're worth it, though. : D I suppose I'd be nervous, too. Though I sort of know what to expect. x3 Well, I mean, I know what to expect, i'm just by nature a nervous being xd I'm more shy then nervous by nature. XD

We're getting ANOTHER flutist or whatever in our tiny band! XD She just enrolled in our school as an 8th grader, like me. Now there is 4 flutes, 3 trumpets, a trombone, an alto sax, and 2 clarinets lol!

I was so happy. Our new band director said that this year, we had the strongest flute section she has ever had.

Hello fellow flutists! Hmm...lets see here...Something to say. Ah, in the band at my school, there's like 15 flute players....So yes, how long has everyone been playing the flute? I've been playing for around 6 years now. My flute [who's name is Simon (yes, I named my flute...in like 7th grade)] is really old. My mom played the same one when she was in high school. So Simon's not as pretty and new as the other flutes in the band, but ya know, it still sounds pretty freaking great. (And that was my little ramble for the night..haha)

Hey! I'm a flute/piccolo player. I'm Gabrielle! I've been playing flute for about 6 years, and piccolo for about 3.
Question, has anyone ever seen a sub-contrabase flute before? Google it, its a really cool looking instrument.

I've been working so much on the flute in the past month or so; I've had pit orchestra rehersals for the musical, lessons, I practiced my regionals piece, and also I've had band class every day.
However, the musical is over, regionals is over, and I only have lessons once a week, so my schedule is a lot easier for me.
I did really well at regionals surprisingly. Flutes are so competitive (at least where I am), and my score was astounding (a 247 out of 270).

My piece was surprisingly easy =/
Flutes had to play Polonaise, by Bach.
