' Oooh that gotta hurt' he thought, wincing as he gripped his side, but still managed to tightly hold the quaffle. At the corner of his eye, he saw Daniel speeding up towards him. He easily dodged the fellow second year, and continued to speed up to the goals. He was almost there. Oh no Tevy. Iris before she shook her head. She wanted to see if the boy was okay but Remy already told her to go after the seeker of the other team. Once she saw another blugder, Iris took the risk of following it. Once and it were lined up, Iris swung her bat at the Seeker.

No! Her mind spun as the snitch jumped several inches away from her fingertips as she snatched ferociously at the air. She bit her tongue, almost sure that the taste of copper was pooling in her mouth as she hurriedly chased the little golden ball. Before she knew what had happened, a bludger flew straight for her. BAM! It thwacked hard into the side of her muscle and bounced away before she’d ever even seen it. ”Ughh,” she groaned, her leg rippling with pain as she narrowed her eyes through the rain as her goggles began to seep with rain and droplets slipped into her eye. But she couldn’t stop to fix them, it, or anything! She launched herself forward, hands wide open, and the snitch a golden reflection in her misted eyes.

”Bloody hells!” She cursed, but she doubted anyone would hear her hovering inches from the black sea of grass with her eyes up at the sky where the snitch had just darted, it flew up high into the middle of the game, and from there she had lost it. Growling, she coiled her fingers tight around her thigh as she felt the roaring hints of a bruise on her thigh, and when she pressed harder to try and cease the pain, it almost felt like the flesh had been torn apart, bleeding. But in the rain, she couldn’t tell. Pulling back on her broom, she halted in the skies and wiped the rainwater from her eyes and goggles as best as she could before hurtling back into the game.

He hovered around his chasers, forming a barricade around them as, one by one; they struck in for a steal of the quaffle from the rookie Gryffindor he couldn’t even remember from the last year. None too many beaters had tried to go after the chasers, and, it was only too late when he realized that one of their beaters had actually struck Belle and when she paused in the air—he knew she lost the snitch. Damn, it was so close too, but, this was turning out to be one of the longest games he’d been in compared to last seasons. He wanted revenge, but he knew he had to hold himself back and instead, he aimed straight for Xavier.

Iris never took in the joy of other's misery but Iris pumped her fist and whooped when she saw that the bludger hit it's target; the other seeker managed to lose the snitch that she was going after. Iris waited for the girl to recollect herself and get back into game. Iris wanted to play fair, even if she was focusing on the Seeker solely. At least until Remy told her otherwise.

Trying not to bite through her tongue, she whipped her broom wide around and paused in the air again just after a bludger had skated under, she swiveled in place, and in the rain, she turned to stop and stare at the girl who’d done nothing but try and strike at her. She could have said a lot of things, but instead, she smiled, like a challenge. And her racing broom stormed off into the gray skies as she continued her hunt for the snitch for the second time. It’d come to her so quickly the first time, she only hoped she’d be so lucky. It didn’t seem too much a pressing issue though, now that Sam was officially gone, she didn’t really consider the other team much a threat… Maybe that’s why she got hit and missed the snitch in the first place?
Over confidence? Shaking her head, she let the rain pour down and drench her to the bone as she whipped around high in the skies above the average playing field to achieve a good vantage point for the little luster of gold she might spot between all of the browns and grays her colorblind eyes could see.

"Imouto," she said, happy she looked it up. Iris had a name for her, and the wolf had discovered it meant "big sister," so she had spent time trying to learn to call her "little sister" in return. "Change focus! You're doing great, now alternate between Belle and Dominic!" She looked around, seeing if anyone else needed Captaining. She glanced at Xavier. So far, he was proving himself a valuable asset to her team of Chasers. Or... maybe she was just better at training them? Either way, her new team was fantastic, despite the fact that she had been playing like an idiot all game. Only she could manage being Captain and being horrible into one game.
