Robin woke with a start, to find himself perched upon a napping Etna in the middle of Motterossa, and the sun almost set. Had he really slept away most of the day, as well as the final leg of their journey?
The musician had not come on this trip with the particular aim of catching an Eevee, but rather simply to see them, so he felt no urge to go in search of them. They would still be here in the morning – provided, of course, that the more adventurous trainers had not caught them all by then. Instead, he turned his efforts to finding a place to sleep.
Out in the wilderness, he had been almost the equal of any one of the other trainers in the group. Here, in a civilized town, the difference became once more apparent.
Back in Katarina, he had garnered a place to sleep at the local Pokemon Center a few nights a week. But Robin didn't quite feel up to attempting to befriending a strange Nurse Joy in a strange town, at least, not just now. And getting free lodging when the others in the group he'd been travelling with were paying for rooms at the inn seemed somehow dishonest.
Etna had served him well for shelter the past couple of nights, and in fact he had slept better than any night under a bridge. After waking the exhausted Onix and assuring her that she could go back to sleeping in just a few minutes, Robin led her to a secluded spot at the side of the Pokemon Center and settled down exactly as he had each previous night of the journey.

Jamais was just hanging about the town still the grease spot went unnoticed, she wasn't really tired since she couldn't've gotten a lot of work done if only she'd had that extra pair of hands...
She shrugged and looked for other signs of life, maybe to chat with or maybe get them to help her tomorrow morning, she could show them the place tonight if they wanted. IT wasn't like it was all that far.

Shikamaru Silyvant Yuzu was always being such a bother. First it had been with simply stealing food in the day and people's dreams at night and now she was running wild in Motterossa. At least Rainier had the good sense to stick close to her, peeking at the man from between Tabitha's legs.
"Thank you, and it's a pleasure to meet you Liam. I'm Tabitha." She shook his hand with a smile. "Sorry for bumping into you..."Click the picture for full size Liam returned the shake, sliding his other hand into his pocket. "Nice to meet you Tabitha," He replied with a smile and a wink, teasing her gently, "So what're you doing out after dark? It's a small town, which is nice, but it still might be dangerous in a place you don't know."
Glancing down at Rainer, the healer chuckled a little, quirking an eyebrow up at Tabitha. "Then again, you got this little one to keep you safe, eh?"

Tightening the scarf around her neck she shrugged. "I find it more interesting to go exploring after dark. You never know what pokemon you'll see, you know?"
"I suppose. Once he doesn't get distracted by some shiny thing or the other." She said starting into the Pokecenter. Rainier scampering along ahead of her.Click the picture for full size

Thanks to Ezekiel's help, Zyk had miraculously recovered. He seemed even more protective of her than ever, refusing to leave his perch on her shoulder. Zinnia was glad that he was back to his old self. But it was time to sleep, because there was bound to be a big day ahead of them. Gently prying Zyk away and putting him on her nightstand, Zinnia crawled into bed and pulled out her hair holders. Her long blue hair fell to her waist as she snuggled down under her blanket and shut off the light. Zyk promptly flew onto her pillow and curled up there. All was quiet in the inn, and the young girl promptly drifted off to sleep.

Danny had lost sight of Kiyo and his Ponyta just before the day's light began to fall. He didn't fear the coming dark too much knowing his own Ponyta, Belle, would keep things lit around them. It felt good to finally have a name attached to his rented companion, even if he wasn't sure where it came from.
"Anybody there?" Danny called out. Sometimes he heard voices of other groups, but no one seemed to be out looking for people - just pokémon. His calls were rarely answered. He just shrugged, like the others he was eager to see the elusive Eevee swarm. He just also wished he had some company.

@Chibi
Jamais had been walking around the town just looking for someone to chat with when she heard the call up ahead if anyone was there. She chuckled, "YUP there's someone behind you~"
If only he'd looked behind him he would've seen the mechanic with her rental ponyta out for a little extra light. She waved as she approached.
"It's a nice evening isn't it?" She smiled at Danny, "I'm Jamais by the way." She said with a nod, as she'd been taught it was rude not to introduce yourself.

So focused forward, he hadn't heard the other as she made her approach until she spoke. He turned in Belle's light saddle. "Oh, hi there!" He turned Belle so he could face her better. "Sure is, a nice change from the day's heat. I'm Danny, nice to meet you Jamais."
He guided Belle over on the path some to make room in case Jamais would like to ride alongside him rather than behind him. He noticed the little green flag on her Ponyta and assumed she must be with the caravan. "Had a chance to see any of the Eevee yet? I hear they've gone suddenly scarce."

Jaamis nodded in agreement, "Yes it's a nice break from the heat, that's for sure. As I'd been working on a farmer's tractor, the thing died on him. I was lucky to find something to make a little extra spending money. Though I was needing some help earlier, and there wasn't a soul around."
She paused when he asked about the Eevee, seemingly to think, "Actually. The farmer's been complaining that a lot of the Eevee have been bothering his miltank at night. I heard if Miltank get too stressed out they won't give milk." She said in a mater of factly tone, when suddenly her eyes widened.
"OHHH... and I left my toolbox there!" She pouted, "I have to go back and get it!"
She looked at Danny, "Danny would you like to go with me? Maybe there'll be some Eevees there tonight, I haven't seen any trainers besides myself over in that area so maybe they haven't been all scared off."

"Oh wow, I didn't know that. About the Miltank, I mean." Though the village he'd grown up in had been small, it hadn't been very farm oriented or he might have learned more about the more agrarian pokémon.
And Jamais' idea sounded like a grand one, maybe the farmer would let them camp out there and watch for the Eevee. Both sides would benefit - they for seeing (and maybe catching) a rare Eevee and him for the peaceful night they could give his Miltank. "Sure, I'll go with you. Sounds like a good idea." Plus, he hadn't spent much time on a farm before. It sounded interesting.

Jamais grinned when he agreed, "OH thank you!" She lead the way glad to have company, "If you feel like tomorrow maybe you can help me finish fixing the tractor. I needed an extra pair of hands and the farmer's too busy to help. The pay is good though." She gave a nod.
She paused, "Oh we'll need to stop by the barn first, So I can get my toolbox, when we get their it might e a good idea to put the Ponyta up so they won't get spooked by the Eevee. The way the farmer talks they're bad about turning things over and making loud noises."
She stroked her ponyta's neck as she spoke. "It wouldn't do for the ponyta or us getting hurt because of the eevee."

In the dimming light Danny gulped back some nerves. He'd never done much fixing, what if he only made things worse? He rode in silence when Jamais paused, content to let her do the talking while he tried to figure out whether or not he should come up with a reason not to be a part of the tractor fixing.
"Oh?" He figured Jamais was right, she sounded so much more experienced about things in general. "That sounds fine. You'll be alright, won't you Belle?" He gave her an affectionate pat on the neck and she let out a whinny of ascent. It would be nice to take her ease in doors for a change. With that settled, Danny for now left the issue of the tractor unanswered.
"Did the farmer say which direction the Eevee usually come from?" He wondered if they were living in the mountains nearby or in the forest instead. "And are Eevee always so troublesome?" Maybe it was because he'd only seen domestic Eevee, the kind kept by a trainer or coordinator, but he'd thought Eevee were pretty easy going.

Jamais nodded, "There'll be lamps near the barn anyways." She said with a nod, "If we need the light that is."
She paused did the farmer say which direction? "Hm... I think he said they came from the woods. All I know is he's not very happy that his miltanks have given a lot less milk lately."
The farm was coming up in view, it looked as if the miltank were sleeping, peacefully for now. "I'm not sure, maybe because they've had no one to care for and love them? Most of the other wild pokemon seemed to enjoy causing trouble too." Recalling the ones they'd ran into earlier, "Like those Swablu." She pointed out.
As when they got close enough she slipped off her mount and recalled him back to his pokeball. "Thank you Mr. Ponyta." She said to the ball, as she placed it on her belt. With a smile at Danny, "I'm going to walk from here, since it's not that much further."
She was looking around hoping to catch a glance of an eevee as she walked.

"Oh, yeah. Or those Electrike. I hear one kept trying to bite the trainer who caught him." Though he wished dearly that he had caught a pokémon that day, he was glad not to suffer such a wild pokémon.
"People keep saying the pokémon around here are more aggressive. Maybe there's something in the water?" He couldn't remember if this was a recent thing or if perhaps all Motterossa wild pokémon were bad matured. Maybe catching one here wasn't such a good idea after all. "I'm sure with proper care they can be kinder," he said, but not feeling too sure of himself. What if some pokémon were just inherently bad?
He watched Jamais recall her rental to a pokéball and just stared for a bit. "All Bill gave me was a lead line attached to her saddle..." He got off Belle to lead her to the barn. "Try not to shine too brightly or you'll wake the Miltank, OK?" he told Belle. She nodded, silently, and let herself be led into a small abandoned stall inside the barn. He then came back to Jamais. "OK," he said softly, "I'm ready."

Jamais watched, "Huh, I guess you had to ask for a pokeball." She said with a shrug, "After all the rain I figured it might be best to have one in case it did rain again and we couldn't find shelter."
She watched the ponyta be lead into the stall when they got into the barn, she'd closed the door so eevee couldn't get in. "There might be something in the water, but I'm sure they could become kinder when trained. After all, they say no pokemon is born bad."
She looked around picking up a lamp and lighting it. "Hm... my tool box shouldn't be too far. Would you like to look in here while I look outside? It has my name engraved in it." She added with a pause, "Though we'll have to keep the door closed to the barn. Can't let the eevee in here, if they knock over a gas can and lit lamp or for that matter the ponyta's tail happened to catch the gas it'd be a very unfortunate outcome. I don't have the money to replace a barn." She said with a frown. "That's okay isn't it, Danny?" She asked before heading to the door passing the gas can on the way out.
