"She?" Sodain asked questioningly. Then Ryo spoke up "I doubt that woman that attacked us works with the bounty hunters. My clan has had a bounty on us for a long time Sil. They..." He pointed to the people still searching the area "...Only chased and shot at us and tracked us because they was trying to catch me, It wasn't because of you I just didn't think we would run into them to have them chase us like that." Ryo looked down. "Sorry I knew you had questions and your father took and locked your book up so I thought since I was to examine the newer findings of the museum and knowing they had the original copies of the stuff in that book you might get the answers you was after. But I only ended up putting you into danger." Ryo said softly feeling bad about it.

Sodain laughed a bit. "Well there you apologized and as you said you did not expect this outcome so your not to blame they are from being driven by greed. "Now Sil...." Sodain said looking to her. "Follow me and I will answer your questions. Ryo may follow as well." Sodain said turning leading the way with the hovering light over him to light the pathway. There was a small fire in a fire place a lone stone chair and a few tattered but repaired cushioned seats near the fireplace. Also a kettle of water brewing on the fire for hot tea.

A table of stone and a tray with a few cans and spoons, the kettle, cups spoons, containers one reading tea, another reading coffee, and a third reading hot chocolate as well as the tray looked new. "I apologize for the worn out state things are in I am still in the process of renewing things here. But please make yourself at home I am sure your shaken from the things that recently happened as well as the chill of the night." Sodain said offering to help themselves to something to drink.

Ryo took a can of soda as well. looking it over before drinking it as Sodain made himself a cut of tea. reaching bare handed into the blazing fire grabbing the hot handle like there was nothing hot about it and poured him some hot water. mixing up a cup of hot chocolate Sodain sighed as scales appeared on his hand holding the hot kettle. "I see, Well it seems like you both had a lot of action and fright tonight." He said stirring up the chocolate powder adding a bit of cold milk to it to cool it. "Well to answer your question Sil My voice well, it might sound familiar specially if you had glimpse images or hearing talking happen when your power tried communicating to you through past memories.

Your power is very old. And very familiar to me, it reminds me of someone used to care deeply about. This used to be a training ground for others with powers like yours Silvia. A clan once lived trained in the art of shadow stealth as assassins to royalty, a secret order that was sent to protect and do a member of royalty's bidding to deter mass wars. If someone bothered the royal they was put in charge of protecting, Mind you they was the good royalty members. These assassins sought the truth and spied on other kingdoms readily. and if needed did not hesitate to take a dark hearted enemy out of the equation for the royal family they served.

This place was home to the Shadow clans of this order. Your power calls this place home. Also if past memories affect your control of this power of yours and you are a reborn member of this clans line your past memories might know me ans remember. It might be why you feel oddly not so discomforted around me. As you might have guessed I have been around for a pretty long time myself. Though this clan was in a way referred to as the ninja of the shadow death strike, People associating this clan of shadow assassins is not entire right or wrong by referring to them as ninja. As most of the studies actually originated based on ninja fighting styles. The art of stealth combat but unlike Ninja who train to be undetectable until they strike.

A ninja can hide well but the shadow clan could like how when I pulled you into the ally and used shadows to cloak us while standing in plain view can literally vanish right before someones eyes. also have a great skill known as shadow wind combat which moves with speed infused by shadow magic to literally vanish in motion of movement only one trained in the style of combat or good at predicting the movement based on sounds can keep up when two people of this clan fight or even spar, Once they get into a spar if two of equal skill fought. It took special kinds of people to be able to keep up with the action.

Vampires for instance because they could move at very high speeds and their eyes able to catch every flap of a humming birds wings would have no trouble keeping up with the fight or sparring of two high level combatants that had mastered the styles of shadow wind combat. In the quick movements of fighting if you just exchanged fist and foot combos just from the fast movement the two or even just one shadow wind fighter could literally lift up off the ground a good distance just from the fast movements creating upward lift under the person. Though find two perfect matches in skill and desire of fighting to spar and not have to hold back you could be waiting several days until one or both collapse from utter exhaustion before they stop sparring.

I and my dear friend who you remind me of for some reason I am not quite sure of. She and I had this bad habit of sparing for 6 days and nights none stop only stopping when completely exhausted to the point we end up bed ridden for weeks in a hospital. Under strict guard to make sure we didn't start sparring in the hospital room. She got so skilled that just blocking one of my punches with a counter block punch created a shockwave that could rip a thick stone wall apart as if it was thin tightly stretched paper. Where the wind of the movement and impact would make the hardest marble shatter like glass. Infact I had to design a special fighting area just for the two of to spar at. Those not aware that she and I was sparring would think there was a terrible thunder storm raging even on a clear cloudless day." Sodain said remembering the past a look of deep emotion in his eyes which when he slowed his remembering started to tear up.

"We lived in a magical place above the clouds called Syna. There was hardly a time in battle when wars was a near constant occurrence on the lower lands as well among the two kingdoms in the sky. But when she or I went to try to still the fights amongst humans, There was rarely a time one did not accompany the other. I only had 5 solo confrontations and she had 6. out of the several thousand missions we went on together. we was as inseparable as night is to day. We complimented the other so well that anyone who knew Silvia or myself. believed we would become one through marriage and have a fine family." Sodain said looking painstruck closing his eyes as a tear fell.

"Sadly that was dream that would never take reality for shortly after a very strong and brutal war broke out between the kingdoms of light and darkness that floated in the skies. The magical core that kept Syna floating in the sky that needed recharged with a certain combination of magics was sacrificed to seal the kingdom of the shadow kin. Resulting though we won to drastically contain them in their own floating kingdom, Syna perished at the same time breaking apart and plummeted to the grounds below. In this battle many was evacuated in special pods of unbreakable crystal which was send flying off away from Syna to land below relatively safe and unharmed. But in the battle Silvia and I got separated a great distance from the other.

I was managing fine in battle but she got greatly outnumbered by the time I reached her she already had been gravely wounded laying on the ground In a rage I could not control I use a few highly forbidden techniques for it could cause a person like myself to lose their sentient mind to that of the beast within. She was still alive as I picked her up rushing her to the doctor who just happens to be a werewolf, he set up a special pod that had a life support system that should have slowed her vitals down that even if it took 200 years to find her pod she should be alive yet despite the wounds she received in battle." He said starting to shake a little. But when I found her pod two weeks after the battle it was cracked open, As if someone cut it open some how. blood trailed from the pod to a large pool on the ground and there was bizarre tracks in the earth but recalling the logs on it there was a malfunction to the life statis components and....

She died before the safe impact was recorded that last words I had with her was her saying "If only we met sooner we may have had true happiness together." Then I found a recording saved and playing it only made the pain I felt worse to where I literally roamed the earth for 5,000 years as a mindless beast killing and fighting seeking my own death. But was forever denied it." Sodain said softly looking up to the ceiling sighing. "The only thing that snapped me back to regain myself was a curse that had been placed on me in battle to try to distract me by becoming obsessed with a member of the royal family. An immortal prince called Kuri which was meant to take effect while fighting to give the enemy an upper hand unfortunate for them he was one of the first evacuated when the fighting broke out. So id didn't take effect until in a rage I attacked a town and he came out to defend the human town he was living in, Once I looked to him I became obsessed of wanting to have his offspring, and my rational mind returned to me that day. I roared out his name which made him freeze then I took off crying as my mind still filled with the pain of loss,

But seeing one I seen as my brother being the one who I wanted to have and bear offspring with confused me and I hid away for 15,000 more years trying to get control in that time I mourned the loss of the one whom I cared so deeply for. Coming to terms and making piece hoping only that she was able to rest in peace I began trying to find all of the pods yet not accounted for. But finding first her pod and because I knew not what happened to her, as part of solicit I buried her pod as if it was a coffin. For the mental acceptance she was gone." He said wiping his tears away softly. Then sodain took a deep breath exhaling slowly when he did flames shot out his mouth across the empty room.

Sodain said this closing his eyes a little regaining his composure "Sorry it was the first time I actually allowed myself to talk about it but I feel as if you deserved to know. As if I known you all my life and just met after several eons of time passing. Even Kuri one who I would happily call brother never heard it." Sodain said trying to rationalize it.

Ryo just listened watching sipping the can of soda he had feeling for this man until the flames flew out of his mouth making him jump startled which was not easy for him to get so startled.

"Ah my old poems as a test to see who was worthy of joining the shadow clan so long ago, as for these marks including the one on the woman's wrist are all etched into areas of this place. you see right now we are in the main building where meetings, meditations, the ruler of the shadow clan met with people before or after missions, Actually if you look to the right side of the room you see that archway with the purple flame next to it" He said pointing in the direction above it held the same mark for the shadow clan. "All the arks over each of these archways are just a part of the true shadow clan mark.

The one of this mark is that of the master shadow users. The beginning training mark is the reptilian like head under a hooded cloak. Other wise known as the dragon's shadow. Which was named for those who are still learning to hide their presence. As a dragon would be hard to hide due to it's massive size.then we got the phantoms shadow. the hawk, badger, serpent, stallion and finally the grand master's shadow which is the true mark of the shadow clan. I invite you to study here and learn to control your power. Develop it properly and be able to use it at will if you like." Sodain said softly watching her. "Also I apologize for the slip of calling you Silvia. It's just well your name is the same as the nickname I used to call her. So there was a slip of calling you Silvia." He said softly bowing his head.

Sodain listened a bit. "Well this that you wrote down is sort of a prophecy the last master of the shadow clan wrote." Sodain said looking it over thinking about it. Then looked a little shocked by the words. But then he looked to Sil "So might I ask who your father is?" Sodain asked softly paying attention to her.

Ryo did nod when she looked at him. "I don't know why but I feel he is trustworthy." He said listening.

Sodain smirked a bit "Ah yes I am familiar with him. Its been a while since I let crossed paths with him. Sadly, I don't think we parted on good terms, Stubborn old goat anyway. I warned him that one day his stubbornness would be his family's downfall. I seen it happen far too often and he called me a walking plague upon mankind in my temper from his stubbornness I told him the moment he stepped one foot out of his mansion that I would cram some sense into his head. And the moment I said that a rune mark glowed on the ground outside his door. basically what it would do is teleport him to anyplace I would be then I would grab hold of him and lecture the stubbornness out of him." Sodain said sighing "But that was a good 20 years ago while his wife was still pregnant." Sodain said flusteredly.

Sodain laughed a bit "Frustrated? You have have done no such thing my good lady. Your father on the other hand.... A stubborn mule and goat would give up and budge long before your old man would, In fact if you lit a fire under his rump he would likely sit there getting his rump roasted rather then moving to put the fire out. But yes I believe that is why he has not stepped foot out of his mansion, Also why he might lock anything in regards to me away.

Sodain said reading it and speaking it in english.

Oddly once he finished there was a flash of like around the restriction bracelet a clicking sound and it fell looking to have been cut in half yet there was no mark upon her wrist. Sodain looked to it and raised a brow. "Hmm interesting." He said and braziers all around the room suddenly lit up black and red flames yet great light was filled the room despite the dark colors of the flames. Sodain looked around blinking a bit. "Hmmm the sleeping shadows will awaken once a true heir will return to take up the call of the shadow blood." He muttered then got up looking around oddly.A pillar in the middle of the room suddenly opened and a book, as well as an odd necklace looking to be of the shadow clans mark. Yet held a black ruby in the center.

The ruby started to glow softly and the necklace floated up and over to Sil floating before her and a voice soft echoed through the room with no threatening tones. "Welcome home Sil. Daughter of Shalandra Shadowfang the queen of shadows as is the true name of your mother. Do ye accept your birthright?" The voice which though was soft and non threatening had a dark tone to it but no sense of evil heald inside. Sodain raised a brow watching this.

In the lab the woman scientist was busy at work studying blood work as well skin samples scraped from Kala. The darts removed and a collar as well as bracelets was attached to Kala separate from the restraining table much like a operation table in a hospital. With engraved runes to restrict powers. The woman waited as the items where studied to find out what happened to that other girl who got away. The wall in her office was being repaired and she took studying Kala's blood and skin samples waiting for her to wake up.

"Yup as this blood and tissue shows I was right to who this was." She said coldly no one else in the room with her she closed her eyes, reopening them and purple colored eyes showed themselves. Letting her hair down running her hand through the blood red hair strands of pure black tipped fading to purple at the tips revealed themselves as she walked over slapping Kala to see if she was awake yet.

Ryo shrugged a bit. "I don't see any harm in it, but it is up to you. You once said you felt destined for something more then your father let you do. This could be what you felt you was destined for." Ryo said giving support no matter what she chose.

Once Sil chose to accept it the necklace unhooked it's self draping the chain around her neck to fasten around her neck. The chain glowed then faded looking like it was not unbreakable. The pendant rested on her chest and stopped glowing.

Sodain reached to pick up the book and the voice snapped at him "You don't touch what is not yours to touch dragon!" Then a dark energy hit into Sodain knocking him back a few feet. Then the shadows of a cloaked man formed picking the book up staring at Sodain before floating over and holding the book out to Sil. "This is passed from head of the clan through the generations only those you permit to enter which you will find in chapter one who to give a mark to those who do not have shadow clan powers to allow them to see and gain entry into here. The process is painless to them and yourself. But think of it as a stamp for granting entry. Like a club doing an ink stamp on ones hand." The figure said softly before fading again.

Sodain grunted standing up seeing him fade. "One of these days Asaru! I swear one of these days I will cleanse you from this place!" Sodain said there was a large dent in his chest armor but just flexing his muscles popped the dent out of it as large wings like a dragon wings only metal with an odd energy that sparks up where the thin scale was stretched to allow flexible flight alterations. Flapping them once then folding them back into hiding Sodain's eyes looked red and slitted as small scale like patterns formed around his eyes before fading back to looking like a human.

The voice echoed through the room but almost moving it seemed as it laughed. "Aww poor little dragon still can't handle the fact I can floor you no matter how good your skills are or how heavy you make your body. In fact it is because of your mass and weight though no matter how it changes depending on what form you take the shadow skills once perfectly mastered it matter not for it reaches beyond light to your true body weight and mass, and the more heavy you are or the more mass you have in your true state which it can reach deep inside you to manipulate the easier it is to throw you boy. And this will teach you to disrespect your elders." Sodain huffed at hearing that snorting smoke. "Yeah even in your transcended form Asaru all this time that passed I am still older than you." Sodain said and swatted as a dark shadow orb of smoke flew around trying to swat it down and away. Sodain then sat on the ground huffing.

"Even when he was counted as alive in a mortal form instead of a living immortal spirit as he transcended to. It is a state some people can achieve where it turns the mortal body of flesh into pure energy. He was one such able to do that but even in life he liked to toy with me. And he was likely the only one able to beat me in a fight. And now that he transcended no physical harm can be inflicted on him. He likes to have fun by playing mind games. Riddles and such nothing that would traumatize anyone or put them in harms way mind you.

He just does it for fun also may take and move items on people like you put your keys in a dish by the door every time you enter the house. Then after a few weeks you go to get your keys and they are not there where you always put them. But you know you put them there all the time. and then you look all over for them and find them right back in the dish that you put them in. He does those sorts of things a lot." Sodain said giving the stink eye to the cloud of shadow flying around. "So if something goes missing like that he is the one to likely have moved it for amusement. The others like hi that are here only 3 people of this clan actually transcended but it was only one head of the clan that did. Asaru, Leesha, and Corin.

Corin is the clans medical administer. He was the first to transcend 50,000 years ago, Then Leesha the head Sensei of survival second 40,000 years ago and then Asaru 8,532 years ago achieved transcension. But shortly after that the clan was attacked by a traitor and many was slaughtered by one of their own. Only those who was off serving royals was safe, But Asaru sent messages to the others about the traitor and the clan was disbanded. 8,000 years ago. The survivors all grouped together and took the traitor down then went either back to resume service to the royals, or went on to live normal lives Which is why you most likely was born with these powers. Your mother must had been a descendant of the survivors." Sodain said telling the story of the clans disbanding in a shortened version. "So if you ever need help while I am out just ask one of them for help. I am sure they are just 'dying' to teach someone." A woman manifested laughing sarcastically.

"Har har Soddy. You know we can't die just like you can't because of that pact you made with mother nature." She said crossing her arms. This woman looked solid completely and like she had very little humor. Always looking very serious. Sodain sighed smirking a bit. "Yeah Leesha I know your too serious all the time it wouldn't kill you to have a sense of humor." Sodain said watching her out the corner of his eye. She puffed her cheeks out giving Sodain a death glare. "I have a perfectly good sense of humor and you know it. I just choose when to use it is all." She growled at him and Sodain smirked a bit. "Yeah like never." He said and her glare intensified.

"No never around you because I know you would just go on and on and on and on if I did. Specially in the middle of training!" She said bickering with Sodain. He simply smirked more. "Like I said you never use it." He said toying with her. He laughed a bit and smiled to Sil. "He who witness it does not question its existence, yet he who never witnesses doubt's it ever existed." Sodain quoted making Leesha shriek with frustration and Storm off through an archway. "Stop using my own quotes against me!" She said fading from view and Sodain could not help but snicker.

The woman smirked and laughed. "Oh? What makes you say that Kala? Just because I watched you die a long time ago and know you did not get reborn you're too stubborn for that. Which just baffles me to how you're walking around now. But no I am thrilled to have my nemesis back, there was so many things I still had not got a chance to do to you yet that now I can do them and more since you are back in the world of the living." She purred softly. But then the door opened and popped in nervous "Hey Kalista the director wants to know if you're finished with those items so they can go back on display." She got this annoyed look on her face shooting a look at the man which he got more nervous stuttering. "I-i- I'll tell him you're not done yet s-s-sorry to bother y-you." then he ran out fear stricken.

She sighed grumbling "Annoying little peons. Dealing with them so much just at times makes me wish I could just eat them!" She said frustratedly.

Ryo did what he had to for getting permit to enter any time. Sodain smirked a bit. "Its nice to offer to give me permission to enter but I have a small riddle fer ye Sil.

We met first time outside of this place, There is one way in or out of this place, sure there are places the sky is open to the sky but there is a intrusion barrier so not even a dragon or anyone that could fly with permission to come and go couldn't get in that way. So there is just the one way in here which you came in by to see me in here already. Now here is my riddle. How did I get in if I didn't have permission already?" Sodain said questionly smirking a bit then opening his hand a black flame flickered into existence as he smirked.

The scientist woman laughed, "And what reason would I have to send you back to the spirit world and end my fun so soon? Sure you would like it if I did that, Bur I have no plan to do that too soon now." She laughed menacingly.
