In reality, Kasiya's storming off hadn't lasted very long, nor did she get very far before she stopped and sat down on the stoop of a building. All its lights were off so she was sure the people living there wouldn't mind, as it wasn't like she planned to vandalize it or anything. She hugged her knees to her chest, trying to rationalize what had just happened. When Keegan had grabbed her arm, sure, it had hurt, but that was nothing in comparison to the fear she felt from the sound of his voice, and the look in his eyes. She closed her eyes and shook her head. No, he hadn't been trying to hurt, or frighten her, he'd been trying to prove a point. He'd never really been a fan of her rushing off and getting herself into trouble in the first place, and he was proving to her that she was breakable. Like a china doll, she thought, rotating her arm slowly as though it might break off at any time. She frowned and let her arm fall to her side, and she sighed and looked up at the starry sky. Keegan was quite breakable too, as she'd so aptly proved just now, and she felt a sickly pang of guilt stab at her stomach at the thought of it. He hadn't really hurt her arm all that much, and that blow to his ribs had probably hurt a whole lot.
She looked up as a figure entered her peripheral vision, and she sniffled a bit when she realized it was Keegan. He was smoking again but that was the last thing bothering her right now, and she looked away from him and rested her chin on her knee, her blue eyes unblinking as she stared off at the dark horizon. The conversation she'd had with Mike was still fresh in her memory, as though it had happened seconds ago. She could hear the words she'd said to him being repeated in her mind, as clear and loud as when she'd first said them, and she remembered the look in Mike's eyes when he'd leaned in and kissed her, even though it had only lasted for about a second. She blinked and looked at the ground by Keegan's feet, the guilt suddenly eating away at her as though she'd been swallowed whole by a Victreebel, and she wanted nothing more than to tell Keegan what had happened up there on the volcano. Worse than the guilt she was feeling was the thought of not knowing how he would react, as he'd always been a bit jealous of her relationship with Mike, even though it had never developed into anything more than a strong friendship. She looked up at the redhead, wondering what he was thinking about now. "Hi," she said meekly, as it was the only thing she could think of to say at the moment.
=-=-=-=-= Bidoof managed to remain conscious just long enough to see the Gible fall over, and she let out a weak "Bee-doooof!" in celebration of her win before promptly collapsing in a heap.
Jake blinked a few times and shrugged before recalling her into her Pokeball. "I guess she really is tougher than I gave her credit for," he murmured, exchanging glances with Turtwig. The Grass-type nodded, quite impressed by his teammate's battling skills. Sure, she was still very rough around the edges, but at least she had spirit, as the redheaded girl had called it. Turtwig didn't know if it was spirit or just an attitude problem, but if it helped her win battles, he'd go with it.
Jake gave a half-wave as the hikers finally took their leave, looking back to Robin as she recalled Ace into his Pokeball. "Yeah, fun," he said, nodding slowly. Well, maybe not fun, but definitely interesting." They'd started walking again, though Jake's thoughts drifted back to the ones he'd been having during the battle. "Say, Robin," he said, slowing his pace and allowing Black*Star and Turtwig to get a little ways ahead of them. "This is probably gonna sound a little bit, well, crazy, but, the truth is, I must have hit my head or something, because my memory's a little fuzzy. That's why I'm not really sure about a lot of things." He paused, thinking back to the signpost he'd seen back at Twinleaf Town, and how it had triggered a memory flash. Other things had been triggering the flashes too, and as he looked at Robin, he wondered if she could trigger a flash too, since she knew who he was and they'd spent time together before. He reached out and put his hands on her shoulders, feeling his face start to flush a little. "I, uh, wanna try something," he managed to choke out as he slowly turned her so that they were face to face. "Feel free to punch my lights out if this offends you, or is inappropriate in any way." Then, without waiting for an answer, he focused his thoughts on the red-haired girl and quickly leaned in and planted a gentle kiss on her lips, hoping not only that it would trigger a memory flash, but that she wouldn't punch him for kissing her so suddenly.

Robin had been watching Black*Star run on ahead of her doing more of his signatures all over the place in order to make up how awesome he was despite the fact he hadn't battled. She had been enjoying her walk with Jaeshan in the nice, if a bit cool weather of Sinnoh. When the other boy slowed down to a stop Robin stopped with him and listened to him explain the fact that he hit his head and wasn't remembering things quite right. She didn't really get what he was saying there but she took it at face value not thinking of questioning it in the slightest. Maybe he was just roleplaying or trying to find himself? People did weird things, and when you pretty much compared life to comics and anime that wasn't strange at all. Then he started talking about her wanting to punch him, why would she ever want to do that? He seemed really nervous to for some reason. His face was kinda pink to, was he hot or something? They were pretty close to now that Robin thought abou-
Robin's world suddenly screeched to a halt. Her bright blue eyes widened almost comically as she felt the older blonds lips on hers. Oh god! Robin's brain did a quick reboot before it came back online and she was still presented with the fact that Jaeshan was kissing her. Jaeshan was kissing her! Her Robin Knight was getting her first kiss from the totally cute boy she had met a few days ago. Ohmygodohmygodohmygod! That seemed to be the only thought process for a few seconds before she came back to it. What was she supposed to do now?! Was she supposed to kiss him back? She had never kissed anyone before! What if she was really bad? What if she was so bad that Jaeshan decided he didn't like her anymore or even want to be her friend?!
No! Get those thoughts out of your head! Your through doubting yourself Robin! Yes she was through doubting herself and that ment she was going to do what she wanted to do right now. And what Robin Knight wanted to do right now was kiss the totally cute blond who was kissing her! Screwing up her courage she reached out and putting her hands on Jaeshan's shoulders she pulled him in closer and did her damn best to make her first kiss memorable.

When one thought about it Sinnoh wasn't really any different then the other three regions. Other then being a bit cooler and different pokemon there it was pretty much the same. Well at least that was the conclusion a certain apathetic auburn haired boy had come to. Said auburn haired boy was sitting at a table outside of a small cafe in Jubilife city. On the small table he was sitting at there was a cup of coffee, an ashtray with a few fags in it and a half finished piece of toast. Said boy in question was relaxing while reading a news paper and keeping an occasional eye on the egg that rested at his side. He had spent the other day wondering around town and getting a good idea of the feeling of this region. Turning the page of his newspaper he reached out and grabbed his cup of coffee and took a sip before frowning and looking at it in displeasure, it was cold. Signalling the waiter who had just wondered out for a new cup he went back to reading.
He really didn't know what he was doing now. He was under orders to be a trainer and he had listened to them. Now that he was back to being one he had no idea what to do. He wasn't to interested in gym battles never mind contests, people all ready thought he was gay half the time. Ok maybe they didn't but some people who knew him did question his lack of interest in the female gender. Truth was Dante had little to no interest in people what so ever. In fact on good days he barely tolerated humanity on a whole. There really only three people he actually could say he liked, the others he tolerated for the sake of others.
Still back to the problem at hand. He didn't know what to do. He could simply sit back and observe people as they walked around but that could only occupy him for so long. With no need for gym badges, when you had a large Rapidash for a partner it got rid of the need for a lot of HM usage. There was only so much random wondering around he could do as well. When one didn't have a goal in mind things became tiring pretty fast. Turning the page on the paper Dante figured the leas he could do was get Turn A and Kenny to their final phases. The two of them were actually both able to evolve into their final forms. Well Kenny could evolve whenever he wanted but he would need something called a Reaper Cloth. Turn A also needed a trade item, something called Dubious Disk to reach his final form. The two of them wouldn't be satisfied if they didn't evolve together either, or rather Dante would have a never ending headache if one evolved before the other.
Of course there was a problem with this line of thought, Dante had no idea where to even get these objects. Frowning slightly he wondered if you could buy them. He probably couldn't, evolution items other then the stones were not something one could usually buy. Still it couldn't hurt to look, now where was this regions department store?

The cheering of the crowd on the Viridian street died down. Akane felt a sense of accomplishment at managing to down the annoying Bat Pokemon. The brown haired boy, however, quickly got over the shock at the sudden defeat of his Zubat, recalled it, and stood looking down with an evil looking smile on his lips.
"Its not over yet" declared the youth when the crowd had quieted enough for him to be heard clearly. "Go Ratatta!" The boy released his Rat Pokemon in a flash of red light, its golden earring glinting in the noonday sun. "Hyper Fang!"
The purple Pokemon bounded forward, obviously no longer under the charming effect of Twinkers. "Pound!" Akane yelled, but it was too late. The Ratatta was fast and the poor little Clefairy could not ready a defense against it quickly enough let alone an offense. The prominent front teeth of the Ratatta shone as it connected solidly. Twinkers was sent flying back to Akane's feet and very much unconscious.
The crowd was silent again for a few seconds. Akane picked up Twinkers and hugged her even before some unenthusiastic clapping could start. The teenagers friends were the loudest in giving praise. One of them clapped the boy trainer on the shoulder saying "You sure showed her!". "Good one bro!" exclaimed the other. Akane was just about to run Twinkers back to the Pokemon center, tears starting to form, when the brown haired boy interrupted "You still owe me a burger, ya know." Akane blinked at the boy, dug in her pocket for the change from her new clothes, and threw the money at him as he she ran away, tears streaming down her face. Twinkers just had to be okay!

“Cacnea, use Absorb on Solrock!” Rajasi ordered now that everyone else had made their moves for the first round. The Cactus Pokemon leapt into action shrugging through the Fire Spin as it again attacked the grass type. In a few moments the nimble ball of spikes had managed to latch on to the Meteorite Pokemon and was soon glowing as green light surrounded the two. Once the light faded, the Cacnea felt much refreshed and did a quick backflip off the now wobbly Solrock.
“Help it out with another Lick.” Claire added, frowning at her limited movepool. Maybe she should go find some TMs later.
Meanwhile, the Solrock was feeling pretty tired at this point, being subjected to several attacks and with another Lick closing in fast, it wanted nothing more than to get out of the way and go back to appeals training… the battle rounds weren’t really it’s thing.
“Lunatone, block the Gastly with a Confusion!” Mina shouted as her Pokemon had yet to be attacked. The moon shaped Meteorite Pokemon was glad to battle, and let out a loud cry as it began glowing a vivid red and then sent out a crescent wave that proceeded to smack straight into Yokai, much to the ghosts displeasure. But he pushed onward after the hit, knowing that if they took out the sun shaped rock that he could then put a real hurt onto the moon-shaped one.
"No, Solrock!" Jon shouted as his Pokemon was subjected to another Lick. It let out a weak cry and then fell flat onto the ground.
"Aw, man. They took out or combination so easily." Mina grumbled as Yokai and Cacnea turned to face their lone opponent. "I guess we still need some work," she said as she recalled her Lunatone. "You two win this round, but mark my words, one day we'll be good enough to astound and win battles!" Mina cried as she put her hand on Jon's shoulder to comfort him at their loss.
"I'm sure with more practice you two will do fine." Claire added. Although they were a little crazy, she couldn't be totally negative about their spirit. "Well, see ya around." She said with a wave as Rajasi and the blonde made their way onto the boardwalk and back toward the Pokemon Center in Cerulean City.

Plua had been the only member of Riza's team to notice the flock of Spearow take flight, led by a large and intimidating Fearow. The Beak Pokemon looked up to see what had them so upset, and several masses of white took shape in the sky some distance away. Plua didn't know that they were parachutes, and carrying people, as all she could think about was how wrong that Fearow's attacking style had been. He should have been going after those strings! She could vaguely make out a human shape with a pink blob in its arms, but she promptly lost interest as black smoke had filled the area where her two young teammates were, but a second later was vacuumed up by the Dratini's Twister. The Fearow tilted her head and clicked her beak. 'Look out for that one,' she thought, wondering how the hot headed little Quilava would respond.
Eris snorted angrily, sending several little puffs of black smoke from her pores and her nostrils to show her annoyance. She looked over her shoulder at Riza, who only shrugged, both amused and impressed by Faustus' quick thinking, and she noted that Eris could learn a thing or two about thinking things through from the Dratini. The Quilava pawed the ground and charged at Faustus, throwing herself into a speedy Quick Attack. The tell tale white light streamed out from behind her as she closed in on the Dratini, a loud growl emanating from her throat as she jumped at her target.
Faustus' fins twitched slightly again, and the young Dratini let out a soft coo before moving. Before Eris could even begin to register what had happened, the dragon had moved swiftly and ensnared her in his six-feet worth of coils. The Quilava let out an startled squeak and struggled, to no avail to escape. Faustus beamed happily, quite proud of himself. He cooed again before nuzzling the side of Eris' face, causing the Quilava to struggle even more. Not only was he countering everything she did ease, but he was mocking her! Eris' pores flared to life, the flames quickly blanketing her entire body in a blazing cloak of fire. Faustus let out a frightened cry as the Pokemon he'd been holding was suddenly on fire, and it was hot, too! He may have resisted fire-type damage but that didn't mean it didn't hurt! With a flick of his tail, he sent the flaming Pokemon spiraling across the ground and into a nearby tree, her flames winking out almost instantly as she'd been knocked out by the Dratini's powerful Slam attack. * * * * * Katie simply smiled and said nothing in return, holding her hand out as she could now feel the rain letting up. She wasn't at all bothered by the Roserade's Double Team, as if anything Gardenia was only aiding in the stalling for time. Not only that, but Katie was quite biased towards her own Pokemon, as she thought Noa's Double Team seemed a lot more natural. Gardenia must have been quite fond of using TMs on her Pokemon, as the orange haired girl had initially suspected. Her strategy of scouting out as many of Roserade's moves as possible was also working quite well, and even though things weren't looking so bright for her right now, her level of confidence was as high as it had been when she'd walked into the gym. After all, she'd survived many years of her mother's successful seasonal launches, most of which were completed dangerously close to their deadlines, and compared to that kind of pressure, a gym battle was simple!
About the only thing the duo could do now was try to eliminate the clones and continue stalling for time. Katie knew that her Staravia's moves were still fairly limited, which was something she would have to try and remedy in the future. Despite that, she was enjoying the battle, as Gardenia was quite spirited, to say the least. "Try to take down as many of the copies as you can," Katie told Noa. "Use your Steel Wing, but focus on your speed rather than power. I know you can do it." Noa chirped in reply, her wingtips shining with a steely silver aura as she doubled back. She still refused to be outdone by that idiotic Genki and she slashed at the two clones nearest her, more interested in destroying them than trying to damage the real Roserade. She felt her body toughen up a bit as her Steel Wing's occasional chance of raising her defenses kicked in, though she wasn't sure it would do much at this point.

"Oh, uh, yeah, sure." Sasha said as Mitsu took off on Nitro, leaving her, once again, alone. She looked around for any sort of companionship, but no one was around. Kasiya had left as soon as she finished her talk with Mike, and from the look on her face, it wasn't a very pleasant one. "What could 'zhey have talked about?" she asked herself, suddenly feeling left out. Nina and Sabrina were no where to be found, but the fact that they were already here means they must have already had a chance to talk. Not to mention, the fact that they were psychics probably helped out a lot, seeing as Mike was a little...confusing now.
Sasha stamped her foot in anger. "I don't get eet! I am nice, I am fun, I'm a damn model for god's sake! Why iz eet that I always find myself alone!? I wanted to find him too! I really, really tried!" she hung her head. "But it turns out I was just useless. We would have found h'eem anyway." she felt tears begin to sting her eyes. "I just don't understand. I never s'hought Pokemon training would be so hard. Life isn't supposed to be z'his hard for someone like me!" Sasha let out a wail that resonated across the cavern. She was lonely, confused, and most likely a little bit in love. Things like this weren't supposed to happen to people of privilege, as her father would say.
"A Beauchamp needs not the hussle of a normal life. You are born into nobility and you shouldn't want anything else. After all, we can provide you with whatever you want."
"Tais-toi papa." she said. "Tais-toi papa. Tais-toi papa. Tais-toi papa!" Sasha ran towards the door, tears streaking down her face. She had to get out, the heat, the situation, the pain, it was all too much. With a mighty scream Sasha kicked the door open and took off up the stairs, sobbing loudly, and yelling out a garbled mix of French and English.
------
Mike waited until he heard the all too familiar sound of wings flapping before he turned around. Sure enough, Mitsu was riding atop Nitro, looking almost as bad as he did. His face practically exploded in joy, and the boy threw his arms out in welcome. "You know, I can't express how much you manage to impress me! Every time I think I get a good read on you, you switch it up! I'm astounded! Amazed! I've never met someone quite like you! It's like you don't know the meaning of the word consistency! I love it! I LOVE IT! I want to bottle it up and sell it on the internet!" The boy let out a hearty, hysterical cackle. "I mean, you hiding these magnificent powers from me this whole time?" He held out his hand and produced a fireball to show his own special gift. "I'm...I just don't believe it! You and I are truly, no foolin', complete twins! Ha ha ha! AH-HA-HA-HA!" The boy roared with laughter. "Oh my god, I can't stand it. It's too much. It's too-hoo-hoo-hoo much! I thought I could read you like an open book, but there's so much to you, Mitsu! I'm more than impressed, color me INTRIGUED!" This was the girl that he thought was nothing more than a whiny teen too timid and scared to confess her feelings to him. He looked down on her, but not in such a way that he disliked her, not by a long shot. He was just being honest. Not that he'd ever say that to her face. (At least, not that he remembered.) But this new development, this new development! I changed everything! Little Mitsu has magical powers, powers that can heal! What a marvelous revelation!
He slapped a flaming hand to his face, the smoke shooting out from the sides of his palm. His ragged bangs closed like curtains following the end of a play, covering the mask that he wore for everyone but himself. He spread his fingers, revealing a single green eye fixated on the girl before him. "What else, what other secrets and tricks do you have hidden under those untelling eyes? Can you shoot lasers from your eyes? Turn into a Mightyena at the full moon? Fly? CAN YOU FLY?! Tell me! I simply must know! I must! I MUST!" He giggled in anticipation, looking over at Nitro for his input, but the dragon could only stare back at his trainer in confusion.

Kalikea was ready though. As the first of the spikes burst from the ground the corsola leapt atop the stoney protrusions and used the force to launch from the ground.
"Way to ride that wave, Kali," The Sinnoh Surfer cheered his pokémon on. "Now show 'em what the cliffs see just before the wake! Bubble, my little sheila!"
Whilst still flying through the air, the corsola launched a torrent of bubbles down from above at the speedy geodude. Bubbles burst from the biting rage of the sandstorm on the battlefield creating a foaming slurry to come crashing down.

Mahnaz smiled as she went over the edge of the ledge and was officially in Cerulean City. Maipe was also excited, but he was glad for a different reason. "Come on out Nyoro!" she yelled as she threw the Pokeball. Her Poliwag came out of the red light and ran behind Mahnaz's leg. "Wag!" she said, scared. She didn't like the city she was in. She prefered the wild, where it was quiet and everything was the same day after day. "Poli!" "It's okay Nyoro," Mahnaz assured. "With a new adventure comes a new life." "Lithe," Maipe smiled. He liked traveling and moving from city to city. Plus, he knew that with Pokemon around, there had to be a fight soon. He was anxious to start his battling life. "See? Maipe's excited." Mahnaz sighed as she walked into the PokeCenter, to rest her legs; she was exhausted. So, I'm stuck here in Kanto. No way to anywhere else, but then again, there are trains around. I can decide from there. She didn't like all these options running around in her head.

Calistra was surprised as the sneasel disappeared and reappeared behind her. She buzzed angrily as the sharp claws raked across her back. She buzzed forward and spun about on the sneaky dark pokemon. The beedrill continued to buzz as it ramped up for a renewed assault. Steam rose off her body in waves.
"Well that did it," Venerax shook his head. "Now she's angry. She's focusing her energy to bite back."

Nitro landed wordlessly and Mitsu dismounted the fire breathing beast in a similar fashion. However, it didn't seem like Mike was as mute at they were. He practically exploded with excitement, rambling questions and statements all the same. He couldn't possibly want an answer or reply as he spoke so fast, moving from one subject to the next without pausing even a second for her input. Mitsu wasn't sure if it was her fatigue, the fading headache, or whatever else, but his rambling didn't frighten her. Not in the least. Perhaps it was because they did have much in common, "complete twins" as Mike had called them. His fireball and face slapping stunt had to be reason enough to believe that they had unusual powers, linking them somewhat more closely than any of their other friends.
But. . .But. No. No, they weren't alike. He had lost his sanity at one point, it was hard to say that he had gotten it back, not by a long shot. She on the other hand. . .she had her sanity. Right? Of course. Of course. She was still alive, she wasn't cackling with horrid laughter. But then again. . .no! NO!
And then the single green orb stared at her.
"What else, what other secrets and tricks do you have hidden under those untelling eyes? Can you shoot lasers from your eyes? Turn into a Mightyena at the full moon? Fly? CAN YOU FLY?! Tell me! I simply must know! I must! I MUST!"
And then something snapped.
She grinned at the boy. The grin held more malice and wickedness than one would expect from the small purple haired girl. She wore a smile that would make the any normal and sane person cringe. (Not that Mike was normal or sane.) She stared back at that single green eye, waving off his inquires, deeming them ridiculous, as if that action had not been her own.
Yes. She'd play along.
"Tell me, Mike. Have you ever thought what it'd be like be part Pokemon?"

Mike's eye widened in excitement at his friend's sudden shift in attitude. It was too much! She was two-faced! Just like him! He couldn't take it anymore! He smiled widely, and was about to open his mouth when Mitsu said something rather strange.
"Part...Pokemon?" he repeated, lifting himself up to further let the question sink in. "I wonder. Depending on the strict definition, I was told by a very reliable source, Moltres himself, that I carry the same flame as him. His, in fact. Part of his essence, I think he said." He looked at his hands. They didn't look any different, they were still his, but for some reason, they felt alien. "When Moltres appeared before me I can imagine I was a little...patchy. My body was completely broken, and I am pretty sure I was missing one of my limbs. But he fixed me right up. Good as new. So, it's safe to say that in some sense, a loose standard you might say, that I am a little bit Pokemon yes. Why?" His eyes flashed with intrigue. "Oh ho ho! Mitsu! You fiend! You got me all riled up! Tell me more!"

Moltres's essence? Pah. How ridiculous. Mitsu, again, waved off his comment. It was completely wrong. Nothing she was aiming for at all. Though his excitement egged her on. He was not disgusted, in fact, he was thrilled to hear what she had to say. Perhaps he did not catch the implications she was making. Maybe he was both insane and stupid. She looked at him, again, "Part Pokemon. As in human DNA mixed with Pokemon DNA. Nothing like the natural occurrence between you and that majestic fire bird. No, think beakers and chemicals. Harsh lab lights and scalpels. Do you understand, Mike?"
She didn't really wait for his answer. Instead, Mitsu giggled, her eyes glimmering with the same hint of malice as before. She held her hands behind her back, rocking on her heels back and forth. She looked away, staring off at the cavern walls. Toying with his intrigue, she continued, "Because the scientists in Team Rocket sure do."

Mike laughed at Mitsu calling his resurrection a 'natural occurrence'. "Ha ha ha! Yes, because being brought back from the dead is complete happenstance in this world. It's second page news!" He smiled, then shot the very same look she was wearing right back at her. "And yes, I caught what you were saying a mile away. Remember, my mother is a scientist. I've got more scientific and medical journals and magazines in my house then most libraries. The periodic table was my goddamn wallpaper growing up. I could probably recite what your chemical makeup is, so you should probably stop talking down to me like I'm some sort of moron." He scoffed, losing his amusement with Mitsu's new attitude. "What you are saying I'm sure will become very familiar to me in time. Once people find out what I am, they will no doubt want tests. After all, I'm probably the first human brought back by a legendary phoenix." He smiled evilly. Too bad they weren't going to get those test. Anyone who came at him with a syringe and a scalpel would need some serious skin graphs. He wasn't going to become a lab experiment.
"As for your apparent 'infusion'," Mike said, taking another look at the girl. "Let's get some details. What about Team Rocket? Does this have anything to do with you joining them that one time, or was that just to get Nitemare back?" Why did so many of his friends need to be involved with Team Rocket? This was getting so annoying. He made a mental note to burn their headquarters to the ground next.

Keegan was surprised not only to find Kasiya not too far away, but that she'd already calmed down considerably. He wasn't sure if she'd noticed him yet, as she was busy staring off into the distance, so he decided to just stand there quietly and enjoy his smoke, though he did look off in that direction as well, wondering what it was out there that held her attention. The silence between them was strangely welcoming and comfortable, though when Kasiya looked up at him, he couldn't help but feel disarmed, and he sighed, flicking some of the ash to the ground before sitting next to her, trying not to groan as his ribs ached in heavy protest. "Hey," he said, giving her a sidelong glance. Now, the silence had turned awkward, and he somehow knew it would be up to him to fill it. "So uh," he mumbled, cigarette dangling from his lips. "Nice night, huh?" ===== Bugsy gave a bit of a frown when Sam ordered the Murkrow to use Fly, as that move had always been quite troublesome to deal with. As usual, though, the young Gym Leader had a plan, and he continued to look up at Devlin as he gave his next command. "Butterfree, use Harden," he said, knowing that it would help to lessen the damage from the little bird's dangerous beak. The Butterfly Pokemon nodded eagerly, hovering on the spot as it focused its energy. Its body seemed to shimmer like a diamond for a moment, indicating the Butterfly's defenses had increased, and both it and Bugsy continued to look skyward, awaiting the pending attack from the Murkrow. ===== Miharu kept her focus on the battle, though she allowed her mind to wander a bit. She still wasn't sure what exactly she'd be doing next, other than stepping up her training in order to challenge the next gym, which was in Olivine. If she remembered correctly, the leader there was Jasmine, and she was quite fond of Steel-types. I wonder what she'll think of Tingle then, the small girl thought, also deciding that she'd have to start working with Mori. Fire-types were strong against steel, after all, and she was very interested in seeing what the young Fire Horse was capable of.
