I wonder if The Tales of Beedle the Bard will be complete with illustrations--it'd be heaps of fun to look at the Deathly Hallow inscriptions! They're pretty nicely spaced out, actually--the Twilight and HP events, I mean.

I really want The Tales of Beedle the Bard. It'd be such a cool book! I'm interested in that Babbity Rabbity and her Cackling Stump. Or at least I think that's what it's called.

Well, another positive thing about the movie being postponed, is the last three movies will have less waiting-time in-between then.
Gah, It feels like only yesterday I attended Elementary school and watched the first Harry Potter movie on the cinema... -Sighs-
I can hardly wait for the Tales of Beedle the Bard to be released! biggrin I'm so excited about it! ^^
Anyway.. o.o Scary day today. It was my very first day on High School! eek And amazingly enough, there was a girl there who had read Sagaen om Isfolket! So, me and her talked about it for a while. And her favorite books in the series, where the same as mine. o.o Also, we both had the same favorite characters! XD
And now, I'm gonna introduce her to the awesomeness of the Twilight Universe. -Smirks- She likes vampires, so I think she'll love it. ...Just have to ask her whether she wanna read a book in English. Or else, she'd have to get the Norwegian translated version.. Poor woman. D:
And best of all.. My birthday is coming up! Only thirteen more days! ^^ -Cackles- I'll finally be sixteen! ^^

16? Congrats! Wow, you start high school pretty late over there! The first day of h.s. brings me back as a little 13 year old going to a public school with no friends, I was so scared! It makes me laugh a little, because I'm so much older now and not scared at all of starting a new semester. The first harry potter movie, I was 12 I believe, I'm pretty sure it was seventh grade for me. I know, after finding out about hbp, I freaked out but now I'm calm. So how is everyone today? I just bought all my books for school, I am excited but now low in cash. sweatdrop I did a major cleaning of my room, I threw away all the stuff that I keep. I have no idea why I'm such a packrat. I should just throw everything away or at least give it up to goodwill.

High School is our 11th year of schooling. O: and it lasts for two years if you take "Occupation-Competence", which will allow you to start working afterwards.
There's several different "directions" for this. Such as if you want to become a chef or a baker, you have to go to a school that has that direction. If you want to become a mechanic, you have to go to a different school which offers that direction.
If you want "Study-Competence" which will allow you to attend "Høgskole" (College, literally translated to "High School") or University, you have to attend High School for three years, which I have.
Of course, some people choose not to attend High School, and just go straight to the working, such as both of my cousins and my uncle did.
Gah.. You also have to buy your books Para? D: Luckily, it's only the first year that we have to buy them here. Though a few years ago, they had to buy books every year..
I'm gonna buy them used though. And it'll only be one month's worth of my Scholarship anyway! ^^
Let's see.. The first Harry Potter movie came out in 2001.. Which was the November after we'd been in Greece.. So I was only nine years old then! O.O Wowies.. D: Same years as I got my monthly for the first time. -Pouts-

Ah I see! That's cool though about the school thing, well, what do you want to do in life? You have like 3 years of high school left and then university? It's confusing for me. Yeah I have to pay for my books, unfortunately in California, k-12, school is free but when you have to go to college or a university, it's out of your own pocket. Thankfully, we have financial aid here, and loans of course! You got your period at 9 years old? Wow, I was 11 when I got mine. I was looking at all I have to do, to graduate and get a B.A. degree in Human Development with an emphasis in counseling. That's a mouthful! Thankfully for my minor in Spanish I only have like 2 classes left! AP classes are really worth it in HS. Anyway, for my degree, not including the classes I'm enrolled now, I have 5 lower-division GE classes! That's one semester! I am happy! I don't get to do my upper-division GE classes until I hit 60 units. I currently have 45 units completed, well 12 of those units are the classes that I'm barely going to start. But that is pretty good, now that I think about it. AP classes are really worth it, and I recommend them to any american high schooler out there in Ravenclaw.

Sorry about temporary non-existance--I have to take on a part-time job in addition to school because of a recent death, and won't have as much online time. :/
Oh gosh, I feel ridiculously young now. I'm turning fourteen on Oct. 13 =O
I'm a packrat, too...it's like a compulsive need to keep everything. Including old packets, homework...all that useless stuff that ends up taking up room in the garage.
AP classes...I should have 15 AP credits by the time I finish high school. -giggles hysterically- The tests are really much too expensive...

Yes the tests are super expensive but worth your time! Your going to turn 14? And you have a part time job? Is it like babysitting? Wow, I feel old. I'm going to turn 19 this september 28! Woot! Did anyone watch the abc family showing of hp movies? I did, even though, I've seen GoF a million times and I own the movie but oh well.

If only it were that easy... I'm teaching/assisting at a Chinese school. The hours depend on the day, but it's better than minimum wage (hahah.) I can't exactly say that I'm doing the teaching, but I help individual students who need extra aid.
No, I didn't see that--did they play all the released movies?

I'm not allowed to get a job until I'm 15 or 16 I think. I only just turned 13 this month. I get all my money from my grandfather but it's really very irritating. I want a job so I can spend money I've actually worked for.

Whoohoo! I'm back from a Cross Country retreat, and I feel like a lump of lard. Yay. (I actually am not quite sure what lard is...)
Anyways...yeah, it feels better to spend money you've worked for. And it gives you more focus when you work, too--you know exactly why you're doing it, and it's nice inspiration. Though some people would think spending hours and hours working to pay for ridiculous hard tests that require hours and hours of studying is strange...

Hello Ravenclaws! Sorry for my absence - I've been job hunting and the professional center where I have my office is having an open house next week and I was volunteered to give a talk and demo for half an hour, so I've been working on that.
I played hooky from work and went to see Mama Mia, the movie. I loved it! And dancing and singing magnificently beside Meryl Streep, was Molly Weasley herself, Julie Walters! I've no doubt seeing her move nimbly and not so nimbly, she'll do well in the Battle of Hogwarts. Hoping she'll get her day in the sun...err dawn!

P.S. turayza, lard is fat, usually from pigs. Hope you get your energy back!
Wikipedia: Lard refers to pig fat in both its rendered and unrendered forms. Lard was commonly used in many cuisines as a cooking fat or shortening, or as a spread similar to butter. Its use in contemporary cuisine has diminished because of health concerns posed by its saturated fat content and its often negative image; however, many contemporary cooks and bakers favor it over other fats for select uses. The culinary qualities of lard vary somewhat depending on the part of the pig from which the fat was taken and how the lard was processed. Lard is still commonly used to manufacture soap.

I'm sorry for my absence, school and job hunting and social life is making life very busy for me. I probably won't be on for a while! Wish me luck on my speech class!

I also couldn't be here lately. On the 8th and 10th I have retake tests, so I am studying... plus I am remodelling my room with some new furniture and stuff. n_n I believe it's almost as painful as moving to some other place, you need to decide what to do with some old things, rearrange them so they can fit nicely in boxes or shelves... this kind of stuff. But day after day it looks better and better so we're cheering up.. ^_^
I hope everyone's doing well. <3

Gah.... @.@
I'm so unlucky! D:
This Thursday, I was with a friend of mine to the horse stables where she usually is to ride... Well, this was my first time riding for years..
She led the horse, and after awhile, we decided that we were both going to ride the horse, since he is used to it... Well, I moved to sit behind the saddle, and she was half-way on the horse, when the horse started running!
We fell off. Luckily, my friend only hit her wrist, so she went up straight away and ran after the horse. But I fell on my hip, and hit it pretty bad. After lying there for about two minutes, a car came. My friend had met some people on the way, and they came back and got me. We drove back to the stables, and found out that the horse had run back home. So, we had to wait for half an hour till my friends mother (my godmother) came to pick us up, and drive us to the hospital. We had to stay there from 20:30 till 11:15 or something.. <.< I took four x-rays. Luckily, I hadn't broken anything.
But still.. I missed school on Friday, and I have to use crutches. And even walking with them hurts my back! D: Gah, teh pain! >.<
I have three different kinds of painkillers. One of them makes me really tired, so I only take that one before I go to bed. It's to help me sleep despite the pain. D:
The other's I have to take three times a day. >.<
I mean, first time riding, and I fall. If that's not unfortunate, then I don't know what is! xD;
Well... At least I'm only gonna have two classes on Monday. One at the beginning of the day, the last at the end of the day. French, and English. I don't have PE, due to my hip. -Grin-
