"We will come back to haunt you, Siber," Paul informed him, rolled back over, and basically fell asleep as he had been trying to do in the first place. He sighed in his sleep; another friend lost, perhaps permanently. They still needed him. And he was walking out. Oh well. They'd have to just survive without. Paul tried to count the number of times he had bumbled into wounds and Siber had saved his life. It became increasingly rapidly difficult to pin down a specific number, because Paul didn't want to. All he really knew was that there were a lot. Paul owed Siber a lot. Siber owed Paul nothing. And yet it still felt a touch like betrayal, like he had waited until he could make his escape and leave his friends to their fate. Oh well. Paul could repay his debt by letting Siber walk away. When they met again, as far as Paul was concerned, they would be on even ground.

Jacob sighed and joined Joe at his side. He felt indifferently at Siber's leaving, he didn't really know the man that much anyway, "Are you okay?" he asked Joe.
