Nero sighed and continued to work, mindlessly putting scrolls on shelves based on a very basic formula. It required almost no thought at this point, it was just busywork. With a slight frown, he continued, stumbling across a book that looked interesting. "Foundations of a Ninja" he read. He opened it, hoping for tips on how to become a strong ninja, but it was just full of boring facts.

It's quite a mess that Inori made. Books and scrolls about shinobi Fundamentals, books defining shinobi terms, Ninjutsu, Genjutsum and more scrolls are all mixed together. Sort them out again to their proper places.

((Honestly...can I get a successful roll please, Gaia?))

((Edit: Guess not.))

Nero continued to stack in silence, his hunger seeming to fade out of mind. He was still unhappy with the current situation, Inori seemed to be organizing his books a lot faster than he was. He was afraid he might not finish before night time, and the ramen shop might close.

Nero continued to work silently. He began to hum to himself, he had gotten so bored. He wondered to himself if Andou was still behind him, and considered looking, but decided not to, as the outcome of looking made no difference to anything, and had no effect on the current situation whatsoever, so he simply continued to work, cleaning up books, and continued to hum to himself.

Finally, it was drawing close to the waypoint he had been hoping to reach for some time now. They were finally almost halfway done, he could almost feel the cold air outside as he walked through the door. Then he snapped out of his daydream and realized there was much work to be done before any of that could happen, so he got back to work, trying to work more quickly to get done with the second half of the project faster than they did the first half.

((One more good roll to catch up with Inori!))

Nero smiled. He regained some of his earlier mood, he felt he was making some progress, and he noticed they were almost halfway done. Just a little more until they reached a major checkpoint in their current project. He could hardly wait, soon, it would finally be over...he hoped. However, he knew deep down that he would likely have no such luck with finishing the task any time soon.

Nero laughed a bit to himself, slightly amused by how little work was accomplished in so much time. They had been in there a good...probably 3 hours or so it felt like, and judging by the sun he could see from the window, it looked to be about 4:00 or so, so they had been in there a while, cleaning up books. He figured he knew what time it was, but had a slight feeling he was wrong, and that could mess up his whole plan for the rest of the day.

Nero gritted his teeth. If he was capable of truly being angry at anybody in a threatening way, he would be mad at Inori for making him clean up books. Unfortunately for him, he wasn't, and he showed his anger by sighing a lot and gritting his teeth. Given, he wasn't a very intimidating person, after all, he was short, so he decided to give a quick frown to the floor, and continue cleaning up the book mess.

"Change the season, hunh..." Murmured Inori softly. He wonders what kind of Kekkai Genkai can do that? It sounded impressive certainly, but he would reserve opinion until he actually witnesses a Fubuki in the process of their famed, graceful dance. The book mentioned something before - a term he doesn't know what it meant - but he would like to see it. Kiri was far north indeed, but the warm island weather did not often bring natural snow beyond the sporadic rains as precipitation. He supposed then from Nero's words his clan has something to do with the snow...?

That's right, come to think of it. The cold-cutting method...

His fingers almost paused again at the spine of the books.

A clan with the ability to control ice. Temperature too, possibly.

Inori worked calmly, his face betraying no dislike at all for the work. Even though much of the work on the higher shelves was left to him, he was able to proceed quite well. He did use the stool again once extricating it from the piles of volumes. To avoid falling again, he did not stand anymore than the additional height naturally allowed him, and carefully, cautiously slipped in the scrolls that should belong at the very top. Unfortunately, the top won't be very organized since he wasn't able to see very well, but it's not like the librarian would mind, won't she? Nobody even used this sector often, judging by the cobwebs on some of the scrolls that belonged to the topmost shelf.

He sniffed a little at slight disdain at such a thought, but no verbal complaint voiced his displeasure. To avoid having a sneezing fit while proceeding through this work, he had taken to hampering his breath at key moments and when breathing only doing so in very small intakes of oxygen. That way, regardless of how thick the dust invisible to his eye was in this rather dark isle, he would be able to continue rather unperturbed. As he shelved volumes he already made out by their catalogues, he wondered to himself how much time had passed. Dinner sounded really wonderful just about now.

A soft rumble broke the silence, and Inori looked down aside from his position on the stool, grinning slightly. It wasn't hard to figure that was Nero's stomach, and by the sound of it, the young Fubuki agreed.

"We can get dinner afterwards." Soothed Inori.

He seemed almost a little startled when Nero inquired of his age. Turning his head aside, and flushing slightly, Inori mumbled beneath his breath.

"Seventeen this coming winter..."

Dammit, was he feeling old.

As if not wanting to hear Nero's comment regarding being overage, he resumed a more furious, agitated pace of shoving books back on the shelf. Who cared if the librarian gets mad again about "denting fingerprints" and "falling apart spines". Like these tomes were very new anyways.

Nero yawned, he was getting tired of putting books away. At least it wasn't some momentous amount of physical activity. Nero realized he could fulfill his daily wish to do nothing, yet get the reward of doing something, by simply cleaning up books. It wasn't "messy" per-say, just a lot of clutter, and it wasn't gross like most things that had to be cleaned up were, so Nero supposed he was happy cleaning up books, as opposed to something else that could possibly be worse.

"Inori...when do you think we'll be done?" He asked, bored. He picked up a book, flipping through the pages, before putting it down. "Eww....Taijutsu." Nero said, putting the book onto the shelf, not wanting to hold it any longer.

Eventually he moved on to the lower shelves again. As he was working, the front part of his shoes drew too close to the space under the bookshelf. But when his foot hit something that was in the space under the bookshelf, he froze. Stiffly, with an almost horrified look on his face, Inori very slowly crouched down and peered in. And indeed, just as he feared, a pile of scrolls that had rolled there looked at him audaciously. With a disgusted look, he resumed full height after he tore his face quickly away from the sight. Sometimes ignorance was indeed bliss, and he was just going to pretend he didn't see them. He didn't even want to think about how many other scrolls had rolled away to the stupidly large crevice under the bookshelf.

He did twitch slightly when Nero asked him when they would be done. Truthfully, he wanted to snap back at that very moment that he had no heck of an idea. Even if ignoring the existence of the scrolls that rolled under the bookshelf, there were plenty of other volumes and scrolls to go around. No no. He can't lose his calm right now, of all times. He stole a glance at Andou, who was pretending nonchalant watch. That's right, to lose his head now of all times and become negatively pessimistic would prove the principal stupidly right.

Theoretically, he could lament in his head why this place have so many books, but then again it was a library and to do so would not make sense. Stupid library being stupidly logical. Humph.

"I wish I knew..." Was the only grumbled response to Nero as he begun shoving some books wrong side in also. Who cares, as long as they remained in the right order - right? Inori did hear what Nero groaned of under his breath, and at this this he stopped long enough to give the other an incredulous look.

"Taijutsu? What's that?"

Nero was suddenly interested. He knew what it was, and put the scroll he was holding onto the shelf in it's spot, and walked over to Inroi. "Why, taijutsu is the last form of shinobi combat. It involved physical power to brutally overpower an opponent, and then crush them with a series of powerful hand to hand attacks, either with limbs, or weapons." He began. "Most people choose ninjutsu, genjutsu, or taijutsu to specialize in. Those who prefer weapons, and strength, go with taijutsu. Most others make a decision between ninjutsu and taijutsu. I plan on doing Ninjutsu, but...that doesn't really seem like your type." He said admittedly.

Inori didn't seem like the type to specialize in Ninjutsu, but then again, they were merely cleaning up books, it wasn't a great way to judge the character of somebody, given they hadn't really done anything that would define them as people, other than share the common lack of interest for the Academy, that is.

"So it is basically like martial arts... But why is it the last shinobi combat form?" Asked Inori, his tone observing slight curiosity as his finger browsed teasingly past the spines of a long line of cataloged volumes. Finding the right spot, he quickly double-checked again the author's last name, before slipping the volume in. His eyes were still on the shelf, as he reshuffled the order in his mind, just to make sure there had been no mistakes.

"It certainly seems pretty decent." He paused long enough to look at Nero again. "Taijutsu, that is." Almost in quiet wonder, he observed: "Is it because civilians learn them too?" That seemed pretty petty of the shinobi world, in his opinion, if Taijutsu was considered inferior to the other shinobi fields. "What about Genjutsu? Ninjutsu? What's so special about them?"

Remembering the slight touching upon Fubuki Ichizoku earlier, he said suddenly: "It mentioned something about Hyouton... That's a kind of Ninjutsu, isn't it?" He wonders if all Ninjutsu have something to do with controlling the elements? Or perhaps a majority? That sounded more likely, after all, regarding all those folk tales of shinobi walking on trees and water.

Come to think of it, when Kirigakure made him such an offer... They mentioned something. Chakra, he think it was. That he could manipulate such a substance, and that marked him as "different" from the typical civilian. Was that why, then, that Taijutsu was considered inferior? Surely, he was fairly sure now, that the difference in field consideration must involve that too. At this, a wry smile curved Inori's mouth. If they wanted him to be good at manipulating chakra, who said he'll have to obey?

How very intriguing indeed.

"It isn't per-say the last, it's only the last for you, because you knew the other two, and Taijutsu was the final style." Nero said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Most combat involves the styling of chakra, and its generally considered a 'rule' that you have to mold chakra to be a powerful ninja,...but....you don't really seem like one to follow all of the rules..." Nero said, with a slight grin on his face. He used his fingers to make air quotes around the word "rule".

"Ninjutsu and genjutsu are sort of special. The problem with Taijutsu, is that a lot of the time, it can be very physically taxing, and some of the more powerful weapons, are very very heavy, and hard to use. Not to mention, they can be picky about who they allow to wield them. Such as the legendary blade Samehada, I don't believe it's turned up for a couple hundred years, but....it would impale the hands of anybody attempting to wield it, should it find their chakra levels to be...less than satisfactory." He told him, informatively. "And yes...Hyouton is a type of Ninjutsu. I believe they are a bloodline of ice users, much like the Fubuki, only they aren't as tactical as they are made for killing, where I usually like to play wing-man." He told him, continuing to put books back on the shelves.
