"It wouldn't be difficult to get at those." Kareswen said, watching them with interest. "They don't usually notice scouts going missing as lots of them desert then anyway. Not to mention that they roam further ahead of the column than human scouts would."

Kareswen shrugged and, slightly amused by the lack of any real strategy to attacking the scouts, followed, keeping slightly behind so that she could keep a better eye on where the woman in front of her was going. She didn't want them to get separated if a proper fight broke out.

Kar took off last but the warg made up in no time. He cought up to Kareswen and looked over to her, 'Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and hop eyou fight better than you ride' he said with a very big smile on his face. Her disdain for him made teasing her all the more fun to him.

Kareswen shrugged at him, refusing to allow him to nettle her. "You'll soon see." She said shortly as they approached the lead scout. He hadn't noticed them yet but it was only a matter of seconds.

The small party of three was starting to overtake the orc army. She smiled at this and looked behind her. Kareswen was behind her doing a bit of small talk with Kar. She rolled her eyes out of sight just before her buck-skin warhorse spooked ever so slightly, for he too must have noticed the giant animal following him.

Kar switched his wepons again, now with his pole ax in his hands. His warg knew exactly what to do. As soon as the head orc was withen reach the warg made a huge leap thru the air, landing on top of the orc and knocking it down, and turned towards the next. Kar promptly brought his pole axe in to a stab motion into th echest of the orc on the ground, to discourage living.

Arrows wizzed by Kar within inches of him and planting themselves in the chests of Orcs. Venerah smiiled. Her swan feather arrows went just where she wanted them to. Her war horse stayed totally calm.

Kareswen wheeled her horse so that she was close to the others but not too close. Raising her sword, she struck out sideways, beheading an orc before he'd even noticed her. She wasn't used to her mount so judged it less risky to fight from the ground and leapt sideways out of the saddle as soon as some of the orcs began to surround it. She landed in a fighter's crouch and struck upwards as she rose to get maximum force. The orc blocked - but barely, and as the shock reverberated up his arm she thrust again, burying her blade in his body. She pulled back and the blade came free with a spray of blood that spattered up the front of her clothes.

The Warg leap again to another orc, this time bitting in its mid section and bounding again to another. Kar beat it to the orc with the reach of his pole axe and gave a mighty slash across the face, casuing the orc to crumple to the ground.

She hoped down from her calm steed, puting her bow away. She brought out her two slim swords and criss-crossed them as she sliced another orc down. Venerah's horse had already took down 3 orcs with powerful kicks.

Kareswen drove her sword into another orc and only just ducked a blow from behind that whistled over her head. She drove a hammerfist into the second opponent's solarplexus and he crumpled without a sound. She brought her sword round to parry another thrust, jumping backwards, then moving forwards and sweeping her feet round to bring the orc to the ground. She brought her sword down and it moved through armor and ribs with a sickening crunch.

Venerah kicked a particularly lage orc hard. Then both her swords sliced off an arm, then struk the left hand sword down it's throught. "Ha, ha!" that'll teach you to mess with the elves!" She said triumphantly. Her right sword crippled a small orc by cutting both legs of in on swoop.

She'd gone... Ranu rolled in his stolen hut near the Rohan border, his elvish cloak flapping in the breeze. She'd left him. Said she was going scouting, but hadn't returned. Now he was alone. He could see little through the rain as he stood in the doorway, clutching his warm cup of broth. He took a tentative sip of the liquid, his left eye twitching at the heat that burned his tongue.

(And we're back!!)
Venerah tumbled around, dodging and slicing through ranks and ranks of orcs. She went head on to a fairly large one. The orcs lunged, trying to stab her shoulder. Her swords blocked it, but the ferosoty(sp) pushed back her blades, and the hewer planted into her shoulder. She almost yowled in pain, but the pain was quickly forgotten as her rage enveloped her. She kicked the orc hard in the torso, and he (or she) stumbled back. Ven's sword dug deep into his head causing instant death.
