Kaleb wrinkled his nose, and turned around slightly to look at his partner. "You're not going to come to bed all cold, are you?" He rubbed at his hair a bit more before pulling the towel off his head.

"Umm .... no." So that ruled out the cold shower. Kaleb would probably be asleep before he got to bed at this rate.

"That's good, I can't sleep well when I get cold," Kaleb muttered, and then blushed brightly, remembering that he was still only wearing a towel. "I-I wanted t-to brush my teeth, a-and I-I need to put on some clothing... C-can I have five minutes?"

He almost told Kaleb that he could just brush his teeth while he was in the shower but thought better of it. "Uh yea .. i'll just go get my clothes." He fled the bathroom to go rummage though his drawers for pants to wear to sleep.

Kaleb scrambled to his feet and closed the bathroom door before pulling off his towel, and then kept a wary eye on it as he pulled on his pajamas. He didn't want Riley to walk in on him while he dressed. Once he had finished pulling on his starry pajamas he opened the bathroom door so Riley could come and go if he needed while he brushed his teeth.

He came in to drop his pj pants on the counter and make sure he had a few dry towels before he turned on the water to let it get hot. Hopefully Kaleb wouldn't take too long.

Kaleb finished brushing his teeth and rinsed his mouth out, but he paused before gathering his clothing and going to bed. After a short glance in Riley's direction, the little mage stepped towards his partner and reached out to find the waistband of his jeans under his shirt and see how low they rested on his hips. He wanted to find out before Riley got changed for the night.

"Ack! What are you doing?!?" He flailed and spun around. His pants were just like the ones Kaleb had bought. They rested low enough on his hips that they were also under his tail.

Kaleb was able to keep his fingers tucked under the waist of Riley's jeans when he turned around, and couldn't keep from giving his partner a bright smile as he tugged slightly. "I just wanted to see if they were really that low. And prove you wrong." He pulled his hand back and gathered up his clothing before leaving the bathroom, pausing just outside the door. "You won't be long, will you?"

His eyes were still wide as he looked at his partner. "Umm .. no. I'll try not to be." He was defiantly going to be longer than Kaleb wanted him to be now.

"O-okay, I'll go wait in bed then," Kaleb replied, fidgeting slightly under his partner's gaze. He wandered to the bedroom and dropped his clothes in a pile next to his laundry bag before crawling under the covers and yawning. It felt so nice to finally lay down and rest, but curling up all on his own wasn't as pleasant as curling up against a warm body.

He tossed himself into the shower and decided that he was defiantly going to spend too much time in there. Now he was stuck thinking about things he really shouldn't think about.

Without his partner around, Kaleb wiggled into the center of the bed and tried to sleep there, but the sheets were just as cold there as anywhere else. He tucked his wings tightly against his back and wrapped his tails over his feet so he could stay warm until Riley got there to keep him warm.

He took a lot longer in the shower than he had meant to and by the time he was done he had to crack the bathroom door open to let some of the steam out so he could see. Once he was dressed and mostly dry he shuffled out of the bathroom to rub his hair dry.
As he rubbed the towel over his head he looked at his partner and scrunched his nose slightly. He looked cold.

Kaleb was mostly asleep by the time Riley finished his shower, and had the covers pulled up past his chin so he could stay warm. He had left one of the lights on for when Riley got back and was curled up facing away from it, but the lights didn't bother him so much when he was that tired, and when his halo glowed brightly overhead all the time now.
