Sigilos was dry, and already picking out his clothing for the night. The closet had provided a very nice collection of dress suits, mostly black velvet with silver trim and decoration, and some dark blue with red or gold trim. He held a towel around his waist, and tried to decide, holding his chin in one hand and looking at the different jackets.

*Hmmm, I think the black will be nice, it's cool out this time of year, so I won't get too warm.*

He took out the clothes, and tossed them on the bed, putting everything on a piece at a time. When he was done, He heard a slight bump against the door, and a furred bullet shot toward him, hitting him in the stomach and knocking him over.

*Sigilos! Ooh, it is soo good to see you again!*

He laughed, and pushed the otter off him, breaking the iron grip of a hug.

*Tonash! Good to see you again as well! My, you've grown a little fat while I was away. Haha! I heard you meet little Kithra, what do you think?*

*Oh, she's fun! I hope I didn't scare her though, she yelled when she saw me, do you think I scared her?*

The dragon had to take a moment to figure out what had been said, as it had been delivered rapidly and without a single breath being taken.

*I think she's fine, so don't worry. I have to go make sure she's ready, we have to have dinner with my father and Roran in a few minutes. I'll see you after dinner.*

He looked up toward the ceiling, a little embarresed to be caught saring. He wondered breifly if it was possible for a female to be more alluring while dressed, then dismissed that thought. There we're other matters to attend to. But wow, she did look so good.

*Ok, if everyone is ready, then lets go down to dinner. Don't worry too much about manners or anything, just be polite, and don't make a mess.*

He grinned at the picture this conjured up. It involved mashed potatos in odd places and a few choice words.

He smiled, seeing Amara fusing over Kithra like a mother over her child. (*Huh, funny I should think so, I guess she really is Kithra's mother one way or another.*) He smiled again, and held open the door for the two ladies. After closing it behind them, he led them down the halls and stairs to the entrance of the dinning room. It was all made of the same stone as the rest of the castle. Knowing they would do well when they met his father, he simply led them inside. The hall was magnificent. Made of different stone, it had whole murals built into the work. Time would not wear these away until the stone itself was gone. The table was huge, spanning the length of the long hall, it was made of solid red oak. It gleamed in the candle light from the many sconces on the walls. The dishes were all made of silver or pewter, and they all shined from a new polishing. As they entered, they saw Roran talking to a tall man with platinum hair. Roran wore a dark blue, while the man wore velvet red. Both turned as they entered from there talking, they had been discussing matters of the castle. A smile broke again across Sigilos' face, and he embraced the tall man.

*Father, it's so good to be home.*

{Well well, you decided to come back.}

Despite his tone of voice, the man had a grin as well. He looked at the two females standing behind his son, and raised an eyebrow.

{And these beautiful ladies are, who?}

*This is Amara, the women in the purple dress, and the little one next to her is Kithra. Amara, Kithra, this is my father, Kalamadea.*

Kalamadea looked at them with eyes just like his sons. They were the eyes of a Shapestrong Dragon, they changed color.

{Pleased to meet you both. Please, sit, eat. You both must be weary from your journey. Roran has been telling me some of the details.}

As they men sat, the women having been seated first, servants of the castle began to carry in the food. There was every kind of dish imaginable, from the sweet to the savory. After the brief flurry of activity, Kalamadea took a bite of the meat, and thus the meal began.

*Well, Milady, then pray tell the beginning and end of your journey. I am most interested to hear.*

Sigilos simply watched, waiting to see what would happen. It was to early to know if this would turn out well or not. If it didn't, then he would have to take his love and leave. His father would not like it, but Sigilos new it was the only way.

Kalamadea was watching the young female carefully, seeing what few others could. She must be a rather kind person, to rescue an egg like that. And to face such battles with such a young burden, a choice many would shrink from. And of course, there was that uncanny resemblance. His mind was made up.

{If you can find the others of your group, then they are welcome in my halls. Any friend of Sigilos is a friend of mine. I will set a few mages to work finding them, if you don't mind. I imagine you will want to supervise Kithra's training yourself.}

Sigilos almost let out a sigh of relief, he liked them! He didn't fear his father, and knew that Kalamadea would want them to stay, even if he didn't like the two women, but this made things better. With such a blessing, he didn't have to worry about leaving, and they could get Kithra the training she needed.

*Well Father, we were hoping to get Kithra enough training to defend herself and control her powers. Of course, I need to brush up on my skills as well.*

Sigilos smiled and started to laugh, he just felt so good now.

{That is perfectly acceptable my dear. I understand perfectly, and will arrange everything in the mourning. Until then, let's enjoy our meal and each others company.}

He was smiling as he spoke, obviously pleased with the whole arrangement.

Sigilos smiled at his love's grimace, and carried on with the meal. He talked with his father about the things he had seen, done, and the things he had missed while he was away. Roran filled him in on some of the details of the castle life, and informed him on domestic changes in the city. After the last coarse, a beautiful marzipan swan with candied rose petals for a crown, he stood up and asked to be excused. It had been agreed upon to begin Kithra's training in two days, so that she had a chance to see the city and enjoy herself first.
