Professor Oak looked up from his computer monitor, noticing the new trainer entering. "Of course," Oak nodded, pulling a Pokeball from a nearby machine. "This here will be your starter," he explained, releasing the Bulbasaur from the ball, who blinked up at Calypso. Event: Calypso has received: or  Bulbasaur Lv 5 HP-40 Male Attacks Tackle-20 Growl-10

Ryan walked in, taking in the lab. Looked very high tech. "So, you're the legendary Prof. Oak. Nice to finally meet ya." Ryan held out a hand to the old Professor. "If ya don't mind, I'm here to start up as a Pokemon Trainer and would like a Pikachu. My dad started with one, and I want to too."

"Nice to meet you as well," Oak smiled kindly, taking Ryan's offered hand in a shake. "And yes, I am Oak, Pokemon Professor of this region. I take it you're here to start out on your very own Pokemon adventure, correct?" "Ah, a Pikachu. Now there's a request I haven't heard in a while," Oak smiled to Ryan with a nod. "I'll go get your new partner!" The Professor retreated to the back of the lab for a moment, before returning, bright-eyed Pikachu perched on his shoulder. The electric mouse looked to Ryan, smiling, as it leaped from Oak's shoulder to land on Ryan's. "Chaaa!" Oak smiled. "Well, I'm sure you'll be a good partner for him," he said as he handed over a Pokedex and a handful of empty Pokeballs to Ryan. "Here are a few things to help you out as you start your quest. I'll be waiting to see something great! I have a feeling you'll do quite well here," he smiled. "Welcome to the world of Pokemon!" Event! Calypso put on his aviators and strolled off.

Viva walked into a lab filled with books and parchmints. He hesitantly looked around and it seemed to be a bit cluttered. Walking further into the laboratory he saw an old gentleman, Prof. Oak.
"Hello Prof," Viva said as he walked towards him,"I'm here to begin my Pokemon journey. Could I please get a Charmander?"

Professor Oak emerged fromt he back of his lab, scribbling something in a notebook as he walked across the room, stopping as he noticed Viva and Lita. "A Charmander and a Squirtle is it?" he asked himself, seemingly lost in his own little world at the moment. He snapped out of it after a brief moment and walked over to a small desk from which he extracted two Pokeballs. "Here you go young man." he told Viva as he released Charmander within it. "This is your new Charmander. Treat it well." he told the boy before he walked over to Lita. "And this would be your new Squirtle, young lady." he informed her as he released Squirtle from the confines of it's Pokeball. "Treat it kindly and I can see you two going far together." he told her with a smile. After a brief pause, he walked over to a different desk and gathered a few things from within it's various drawers. He returned a few minutes later with a tray holding a few Pokeballs and Potions as well as a PokeDex for each of them, a red one for Vive and a pink one for Lita. "Take these to get you two started and I hope you enjoy your journeys with your Pokemon." he said with a soft, kindly smile. Event!Viva has received: or  Charmander Lv 5 HP-40 Male Attacks Scratch-20 Growl-10 Event!Lita has received: or  Squirtle Lv 5 HP-40 Female Attacks Tackle-20 Tail Whip-10
