Hello, all.
I am both a new gaian (something to the tune of 9 days) and a proud new grammar nazi. I was actually accepted about two days ago, but I didn't want to bust in and rehash some tired old subject that everyone else has discussed to death a million-and-one times before, so I have spent a good amount of time since my acceptance reading over select topics in the guild forum, and have reveled in how easily read and understood the posts are compared to every other place on gaia!

My first afternoon on Gaia, I was invited to join a Harry Potter RP guild, and it took me about 1.2 seconds to realize that the titles of the three Harry Potter movies had been the extent of most of the other members' reading experience. It gets boring trying to translate other people's fake latin when they are incapable of even spelling things in english!
I had never even seen a GGN banner before I applied, but on reading the front page of the Guild I knew where I needed to be...and here I am!

Hi all, I'm new here. I'm 23, recently graduated with a degree in linguistics, and mostly a lurker. I suppose this pretty much goes without saying, since I am here, but I, too, have little patience for those who go out of their way to appear illiterate.

Hello. I am known as Einar, Matt, Ben, Ahira and several other names, so whichever will do. I was taught as a young child that expressing exactly what you wanted to say was important, so when I see children "expressing" things that literate people can't even understand, I find myself getting annoyed. It is wonderful to see so many dedicated to the correct usage of the English language.
