Size was deceptive on this ship. The inside seemed a lot smaller than the outside appearance warranted, though the same number of pirates were scurrying about doing work as quickly as possible so that leave would come soon and there would be less risk of getting caught. The long-eared guide wandered off toward a tattered mop, woeful that he'd have to buy a replacement... yet again.

Elly and Lahn wandered the ship, unbothered due to a sort of nod of approval from the mopping faerie. Using scent, Elly quickly traveled below deck and found Sarya, Lirit, and the captain. The elven captain was replacing his handsome feathered hat with a flourish that swept his raven hair out of his defined face and dark eyes. Lirit swooned behind him and the captain simply tugged on the trim of his wine red vest. Sarya stood peeking out at the two adults from the doorway, a piece of shifting fabric in hand.

((Sorry about disappearing so often. First it was school, now friends... life is weird no da.))

Lahn was unimpressed by the captain. Anyone could wear a feathered hat, but as far as he was concerned only Lahn could truely appreciate the style. He didn't voice any of this, although he had the strange feeling like he knew him from before...

((gah, don't tell me thats lahns dad >> wink )

Lirit cooed to herself over her beloved captain as elly just pointed and yelled. "Cool! A real live pirate captain! Hes even got the hat! Ah..wheres his talking bird?" Elly sniffed a bit for it. His sniffing led him to somthing that was bird like though...
"Oh...Sarya! There you are." he smiled. "Are you decent yet?" He asked since she was mearly peering out.

Lirit frowned at ellys blatent words, and hugged onto her captains arm. "....We need to talk." she started to explain who and what these strange men , though that word was used lightly on elly, were and why they were on the ship.

((DUNDUNDUNNNNN! Hahaha, Captain Aust is an elf, not a faerie, so unless Lahn is half-elf half-fey, it's not his dad. The idea is greatly amusing, though. And his feathered hat was inspired by club's chat with me about Lirit, so... *passes the blame*))

The captain listened to Lirit as Sarya quickly ducked into the room and did an impressive quick-change into the dress she'd just been holding. She stifled her shyness for the moment and edged out, brown eyes flicking up at Elly's face for a reaction every couple of seconds after being glued to the floor. The little girl's face was a rosy pink. "..."

Sighing, the pirate captain changed the subject after Lirit was finished explaining. "That's very noble of you, Lirit, but there's no time for a cup of tea. Half the crew has chores to do in Fashionable Symphonies, including you, O Cook."

Lirit dug one of her talon toes into a crack in the wooden floor.
"I know captain...I need to buy more rations for the crew but...."
She cupped her hands and held them out to him. "You need to give me what I'm going to pay for them with."

Elly was amazed at the fabric, tugging at it as it hung on sayra. "Whoa! Look a comet!" he pointed out as it streaked across her chest. "I've never seen anything like this before, not even at uncel Alodhans Court!"

Sarya smiled shyly and stopped staring at the floor, looking at Elly bashfully. "Really? I think it's pretty, too... a premanent illusion or echantment spell had to be used with the individual strands, not the dress, in order to make it move like..." she stopped, remembering that spell-talk was boring to most others. "Even Mama's dresses aren't this nice."

The captain grimaced woefully at Lirit's reminder. "Right... the last two chests from Dawn haven't been searched." He nodded to the three guests before offering an arm to Lirit. "You three can wait on deck..."

A winged heat bubble emoted from Lirit as she hugged onto her captains offered arm, a soft smile on her lips, leaving her to forget compleatly about Lahn and Elly, even her little wing sister.

Elly shrugged. "Your the captain." He took Saryas hand and started to pull her back up the stairs past Lahn who must of been dieing to steal the captians hat.

Lirit gave a content sigh.

Lahn went up on deck and did a casual search of the area. Watching the sailors do their thing. He gazed up at the crows nest and saw that is was empty.

Nodding in approval he made his way to the top.

Sarya followed suit, and watched Lahn's ascent confusedly. "What's he doing?" she asked Elly quietly.

Meanwhile, Lirit and the captain traveled to the lowest part of the ship, where treasure was stored. A few magical words were spoken to take down the wards and prevent anyone but the speaker from even remembering the spells. The elf and the flier shuffled past haphazard piles of stuff before leaning down and opening two chests from a very recent steal. One ended up holding typical faerie loot: toys, trinkets, spell components, sylvan documents, common documents used to remind the more forgetful ones what the sylvan documents were for... However, the second chest's contents made the captain's jaw drop and his eyes pricked with tears of joy. "I'll be a gnome's uncle," he breathed, staring at the dozens of little spellbooks.

"Who knows what the nutty bard is doing." Elly shook his head. "But c'mon! were on a real live pirateship! Lets look around!" Elly tugged Saryas hand happily. "If he falls and dies its his own fault, he's a adult anyway."

Lirit sighed at the haul. "Oh joy, books and more usless crap..." she picked up a book and started to read it. "...well at least they're spell books, we should be able to get alot for these I guess..."
PostPosted: Sun Sep 17, 2006 7:30 pm

"You haven't been here long enough to know how precious these are!" declared the captain joyously. "Fey can be so picky, but spells- almost all the fey are spellcasters! They'd trade loads just for a peek at a certain spell or two, not to mention a whole spellbook to add to their own collection!"

"What are we 'looking around' at, Elly...?" Sarya tried not to make rude faces as she wrinkled her nose, passing a particularly pungent crewhand. "Mama hates pirate ships... Your dad does, too, ever since that thing with the ocean-god, right?"

Lirit watched her captain fawn over the books as he storted through them before she became annoyed and leaned in close to his long ears.
"You know captain I can think of somthing more vaulable that we have down here." And to awnser him before her spoke she nibbled on the end of his ear a bit. "Right, captain dearest?"

Elly nodded. "Daddy hates the ocean in genreal now even though he can breath just fine, ponds and lakes are still ok though." Elly hopped up onto a riggin and climb up a bit to get a better look at the deck. "Hey cool, cannons!"

"C-careful!" Sarya called after him, trying to follow and ending up getting her wrist stuck in a knot. She growled at the rope in frustration, pulling on it repeatedly and only ending up making it more tight.

The elf smirked agreeably at Lirit in the mild darkness below deck. "Mortals value such different things," he breathed, leaving the books to roll over onto the Flier with his race's natural grace. The captain managed to cup her smooth face in his hands, looking down at her with that smirk, and with a little puff of breath on her lips a magic word was spoken. The lights dimmed away.

Go, manly man! xd Lirit: heart ~

Soo... I have plot spanning all the way from here, to Sym's Court, to the pirate ship scene, to the court after that. WHEE! It's exciting.
Though, club's stabbing me for ignoring Dirk. >>; I have a DM block there or something.
