But Sun wasn't looking. His head rested back against one of the stones, and he was dozing again, arms outstretched like he'd been in the tub the night before.

Sunlight stretched over his face and body in the water, it made the white skin look warm and the hair a lot lighter then it naturally was...highlighting yellow and orange much as Shin's highlighted green.

Sunstrike was basking, something that came as naturally as breathing. He actually might have been conscious, but he wasn't responding, and probably wouldn't til Shin actually physically touched him.

Shin sloshed through the water, one hand holding fast to the knot on his towel so that it wouldn't come loose, baring all. Plunking down beside Sun he just smiled at him, taking in that beautiful, relaxed face much like he had when he woke up beside him. He didn't want to disturb him, not just yet... Sunstrike seemed to have so little calm in his life, who was he to deprive him of moments like these?

Sunstrike stayed comfortable in the silence for a few more moments, and then slowly rolled his head to look at the elf, unconsciously settling on a few stray pieces of Shin's hair that trailed behind him.

"Who's the third person, Shin?" Curiosity seeped through the laziness, though his eyes didn't change colour. Either he didn't know Shin was now in a towel, or he made a good effort to hide the fact that he did.

Shin's eyes had settled closed. So as Suns spoke, he cracked one open a smidge and rolled it towards sun, a slit of emerald peering at him lazily.

He didn't say anything for a moment, just looked at Sun as if weighing something in his mind. Finally he just said,

"Lady Madison."

And closed his eyes again, tilting his head back to rest against warm stone.

Sunstrike blinked.

"Another girl?"

He sighed and then rubbed his eyes when the elf didn't say anything more. He was prying...he'd forgotten his manners and Shin's privacy. Mixed in with that was a little...naw it couldn't have been dissappointment, could it?

"Sorry Shin, I shouldn't...try and force it out of you. It just seems like you know everything about me...I was curious about you." He looked a little downcast. "I see why you work alone now."

Sun chuckled as if it really did make sense.

"Dissapointed?"

He cracked an eye open again, taking in the Salamander's downcast expression before rolling over to the side to face him, putting one well muscled arm across the width of Sun's collar bones to brace against the stone wall of the hot spring, cornering him... but not in a threatening manner.

Despite the fact that the water they were soaking in was fairly hot, The places where Shin's arm, chest and thigh brushed against Sun's felt like a fiery brand, his breath tickling against the red head's cheek and neck as he lowered his face, pressing his cheek to Sun's and speaking in a low voice, rich and throaty yet it was almost a purr.

Shin carried a weight to him that had nothing to do with pounds. Something about his eyes and attitude when he came in close to Sun, the desire...resonated deep inside the salamander. It was confusing, so much so that his water drugged mind was having a hard time keeping up.

So instead of pushing away with his hand, Sun ended up leaning slightly into Shin's cheek, as if it was hard to stay upright. His words were barely a whisper.

"What is this Shin? We've only known each other for two days now...and we act like..." A lot of words flashed in his mind, but he didn't finish the sentence. His quick flush filled it in for him really.

Sun swallowed and eventually moved his head to the opposite side so they weren't still touching like that, though the rest of his body stayed pinned.

"You really want me like that?"
PostPosted: Sun Apr 08, 2007 12:53 pm

"What's not to want?"

He pressed a kiss where jaw meets neck, then another a little higher, kissing up to his ear. One arm slipping around the Salamander's waist, holding the other man securely, tenderly and yet strongly against his upper body, his hand caressing his back where it rested between his shoulder blades.

"It's not all that surprising really-- We're very much alike in our desires."

Sunstrike froze like a trapped animal when the kisses started, helpless as the warmth spread throughout him. As Shin spoke he slowly shook his head, choking back the small sounds he wanted to make.

"You're an elf, Shin, you can't possibly tell me in all the time you've been alive...you've not met anyone else alike in your desires."

Sun's hand twitched along his own thigh and he tried to get the murky wheels to turn in his mind. He had a hard time telling himself he didn't want this...

"Nobody that I've been drawn to and was drawn to me in return."

Shin drew back to look at Sun. He knew there was a boundary here, he had to put a little space between their faces or he might not be able to stop himself from crossing it.

"We both want someone who will love us wholey... all parts of us, good and the bad. Someone to belong to and have belong to us, just us--"

He shrugged.

"Oh I know that's a universal desire, but we've both had that very thing sitting in front of our faces for so long-- and been denied it. I am an elf... no human can understand what it's like to exist this long and not give into lust, to just be with anyone. They can't understand what it's like to harbour feelings for centuries... You... You're not an elf... but you're an old soul Sun. A VERY old soul..."

There was only a small catch in Sun's breath as he let it out slow, as if something still managed to touch him even when Shin pulled back. The look in the other mans green eyes was very raw as he admitted to his own needs, and Sun was embarassed. Not because of Shin, but because of himself.

The line could have been a lot clearer if he'd just kept his nose out of the elf's buisness, left things as they were supposed to be. But he couldn't help himself. Essentially Shin was right, both their desires reached out, and Sun didn't know how to deal with that.

The old soul comment spooked him a bit. He shifted in Shin's grip and didn't meet his eyes, but he didn't deny the fact either.

"I feel like I can fool myself , more often then not. It's the damage I take, makes me feel...I dunno, mortal. Nothing like a little death to make your emotions simmer." He grinned as he said it.

"But I can't love you how even I want to be loved, Shin. I can satisfy some of your needs, but not all. That's really all I'm built for." There was a laugh, sharp and painful and he was silent for a moment before explaining, still not looking up.

"I don't even know if it's me people are attracted to, or the genetic sexual mess that I've been made into. What glows in their eyes is never what I see in the mirror."
PostPosted: Sun Apr 08, 2007 3:29 pm

Shin's strong hands gripped both sides of Sun's face gently. Lifting his face to lock eyes with him.

"Our mortality lies in those who pass on and leave us behind, taking with them, a small part of our hearts."

He smiles softly, a glimmer of rememberance and sorrow for those departed, yet his face was not unhappy.

"In exchange, we grant them a small piece of our immortality, filling that small piece of missing heart, with their memory. And thus they live on."

He didn't really know how Sun was 'raised'. What kind of teachings he'd been schooled in, or if he'd ever even had any sort of discussion about his longevity... But it was this lesson that had stuck with Shin through the ages, and it was this lesson that still held some small comfort even when the hurt was great. Maybe it would help Sun too?

"Your burden doesn't have to be so great Sunstrike... there are those who are willing, to help lighten the load."

He pressed a soft, reassuring kiss. Comforting, not sexual-- to the redhead's forehead.

"Even if only a little."

He would hug him close, protectively. Resting his chin atop his head as he held him.

"As lovely as your body is Sun, I don't want sex. You're more to me than a piece off a**."

Lord Shinathelendros

"I wish things were that simple, Shin, but thank you, I'll remember what you said."

Sunstrike suddenly grinned. Embraced in those arms, and something in Shin's voice...made Sun take the lesson, and kept it close. But there were some things the elf was avoiding with that casual declaration of no lust.

"And what if what I wanted was something intimate in this relationship." His eyelids drooped and it was an almost lazy glance that he gave Shin, still that amused expression, as if he were testing something.

"I know for a fact, you speak well about squashing your desires, but don't kid a kidder, what you wanted in the room last night was more then sex, but sex was definately on the agenda in order to get to it. Regardless of how things turned out, you wanted to seduce me Shin, else you wouldn't have walked in like a living wet-dream."

Shin had only three people on his list, and he'd admitted to living for a long time...admittedly it was hard to piece everything together, but he just about had it. A little friendly nudge here or there would help, he hoped.

But Shin's feelings had been toyed with too many times, by women of the court, by women in general. Even a few men-- He was guarded, naturally. So naturally that it was reflex and there was nothing 'forced' in the careful words he spoke. No sense of pausing to pic out how best to proceed, the words were just there.

"The feel of skin on skin is something my people long for almost as much as we pine for our trees and bits of green. It is also... I'll admit somewhat intoxicating, especially to those of us who have not felt it for a very long time..."

Sunstrike chuckled and shook his head. So defensive over this topic, it was strange how Shin ran so hot and cold.

"How am I going to learn anything about you if you keep going all formal on me, Shin? You're acting defensive, yet your the one half on top of me, keeping me pinned down."

His hand brushed a leg, just lightly in the hot water, and that was dangerous. Once Sun stirred the metaphorical waters, there was probably no going back if Shin did actually decide to take what he wanted. But Sun wasn't on a crusade to deflower the elf, just to get him to open up a bit more.

Sometimes pushing buttons was something Sun neglected to think about.

"How long's a long time, Shin?"
