"Actually they are part of the elven race, or at least an offshoot. The biggest difference is their skin color, the fact that they live underground, and their tendency for malice." Talibah responds, in common.

((hehe, I knew that, I just wasn't 100% sure what were considered Fey and what weren't.))
I turn to look at Talibah "And deception. They've very deceptive, and backstabbing. Most worship either Lolth, or Eilistraee, I believe Lolth being the more common of the two. That's all I know though. I do not know much about dieties, so I can not say much about Lolth, other than that she is not a kind and benevolant one."

Navon sniffs a bit, looking up into the night sky at all the stars overhead and smiling for just an instant... Before looking back down at the party and frowning, deeply.
Speaking in somewhat abrupt, even harsh, common and looking at Kyte and Nuzam with something close to irritation.
"Such bickering does nothing to help the mission." he says "While Brendon's manner of speach and action are strange to me, so is yours, and he has been nothing but a boon companion. Dorak is correct, we should all speak common for the good of the party and share what information we have..."
Navon stops for a moment, a faint grin crossing his features.
"I understand that someone might... forget, however." he continues. "So I will be providing translations from now on. I undersand all the languages that have been used to communicate so far, and many others, and it is well within my ability. For the good of the mission. As for this talk of familiars, well, I have seen no sign of that. Perhaps an close relationship, but it would be a leap to assume familiar status from only that. I wonder where you get your information from, hmmm."
"In any case," Navon says, looking up to the sky again "I am working under the athority of what law exists in this strange land and I would appreciate it if our journey could continue. You may be an unruly lot, such behavior would certainly get you locked up for the night where I come from, but you are far better than the ruffians that stole the book, and I am willing to behave in a civil manner if you will do the same. I think that, when all is said and done, our skills should more than compliment each other. If not our personalities."
As he continued walking Navon came to a stop somewhere between the two he had been scolding and Brendon, still looking up at the sky... But with an odd gleam in his gray eyes. Perhaps it is only chance that he came to rest in this spot, perhaps not. But the two would have to barrel through him if they wished to further bother Brendon, and that was something, at least.

"I have to agree with Navon," Talibah said with a smile, "we should be working together not arguing uselessly. I do hope that our party does more than just put up with one another though, perhaps we can be friendly despite our differences."

"I agree!" Said Navon, with a smile "Perhaps I am a bit... Abrasive, at times, when it comes to upholding the greater order. I suppose that my religion teaches little of patience or understanding, but it does not forbid them either, and I could do with a bit more of both. Seeing as much death as I have tonight has put me on edge... And seeing even minor bickering, well, perhaps it grates on me more than it should. Lets all try our best to get along, yes?"

"Sorry I was guessing at the Familiar comment. Even close friends do not usually call each other 'Master'. Forgive me if I have been presumtious." Kyte bowed to the party in apology. "Now, can we please continue on our way, my friends?" xd

Talibah seems genuinely pleased with the idea of making new friends, "That's the way to look at it," she chimes happily, "We should most definately head out soon, if not immediately, though." With this Talibah starts strumming on her mandolin in an attempt to inspire her new friends.

I stop, and look at Navon and make a huge smile. "Well, I don't know about Kyte, but I wasn't bickering. Just playing around. Adding a little humor to the group. I've certainly got no reason to dislike anyone in here. And we're all in this together after all.

"I understand" Navon said to Nazum "Perhaps I jumped to judgement too quickly, I am unfamiliar with your ways after all. The man just looked flustered, as if he could use some breating space, I apoligise if I offended... Lets walk as we talk, after all, as some have said, we really should get going."
With that Navon started walking in what he assumed was the correct direction, motioning for the others to follow.
"That," Continued Navon, looking at Talibah "Is a pretty snappy tune, if you don't mind my saying so. Do you know any of the 57 hymns to Kossuth? Thats pretty good listening, and number 13 through 20 are all about burning things."

Still strumming her mandolin Talibah responds, "Why thank you, I have not heard of those, perhaps you could teach me and then I could play them for you. I love to learn new things, especially if they could help my musical preformance. You must have some very interesting stories about where you are from, in fact I bet all of you do. Perhaps after or during our adventure I could hear your stories."

Navon shrugged, looking up at the sky again.
"Not much to say" he said "I lived in a tower learning magic all my life. Its mostly route memorization... Nothing exciting about it. You read old, dusty, books and scrolls till your eyes fall out. Then you read them again... This is the exciting part! Where I get to head out in the world and do something good for my people, and myself. This is where the adventure starts, I say."

"Did you truly spend your whole life studying in a tower?" Talibah asked, still strumming away and looking to see if others were actually following, "You must be a truly talented wizard!"

"I am skilled enough, in my feild." Said Navon "But true skill comes only with age, experience, and wisdom. Or at least thats what my master always told me, after I became an apprentice..."
The odd gray skin man looked off into the distance, thoughfully.
"My family actually made shoes." He said "But with three other brothers, well, we could hardly all be cobblers. Fortunately there was a wizard who was looking for an apprentice, and I was too thin and reedy looking for the blacksmiths liking. Still, Im glad to be out in the world."
