Our band is doing "From Black to White"
Opener: No one mournse the Wicked (black ski caps, black jackets over our uniforms)
Ballad: The water is wide (hats come off, yellow, blue, and red ski caps underneath)
Closer: Simple gifts, and some other stuff xp (white helmets on, black jackets come off to show white uniforms)
I love it. Its my first year too

SubHumanRemains we just chose last week! we're doing "Wicked". sounds great. never seen the show though. and we've decided... lol. next year we'll do pirates of the carribean... then the next year, when i'm Drum major, we're doing King Kong... haha my friend coreys prophesizing the future. we'll have the colourguards dressed up in gorilla suits, and i'll be the chick. great. ooo war of the worlds would be fun. sorry OT sweatdrop Were doing King Kong this year at my school.i luv it!

Our show this year is called "Full Circle" which includes Proluge to the City of Angels, In the Stone, Beautiful, Open Wide. This is one of the best shows yet since we started.

ours is Kinesiology:The study of motion....but we call it motion...it ROCKS!!! we do partner swaps and our music is SOO FAST!!
opener: artistic motion
2nd song:perpetual motion
3rd: Emotion
4th: Kinetic motion...and the coolest part?? we have vocals!!!! we sing in the ballad and we go "HUH!" in the 4th song...it's awesome...we might do ploom changes...it would rock...but we did it last year...so..idk....it might still be wicked...idk...our championships are coming up...i'm FREAKIN OUT! our season's almost over.....*sniff*/*celebrate* mixed feelings...its so tiring...the season lasts from mid-july to end of october...but...that's why we're amazing!!

The Divine Comedy-Robert W. Smith. He arranged parts of it especially for our school due to our size (about 180 winds/perc).
Mvmt. 1-The Inferno
Mvmt. 2-Purgatorio
Mvmt. 3-The Ascension
Mvmt. 4-Paradiso
We have singing parts in Purgatorio and Paradiso, an oboe solo in Inferno, and a brass quartet solo in Ascension. Too bad we're not sure if we're going to be singing the part in Paradiso, we're not loud enough and if we sing like we do in Purgatorio, the notes'll sound so bad.

We're doing "Reflections" this year, all of it's music from John Rutter
1st movement- Gloria
2nd- Open thou mine eyes
3rd- Gloria Closer (original, eh?)
It's alright...it has its moments, but I don't like i that much.

This year we're doing 'Wicked" Songs include: No One Mourns The Wicked For Good One Short Day Defying Gravity (Currently learning. We've got about half of it learned.)

We did Incantation last year, except without strings (along with Harry Potter and the Rites of Tamburo). This year is Fanfare for the 3rd Planet, Overseas March, Into the Light, and When Dreams Come True. We've played them so many times already in about a month and a half, that I've had all of the stuck in my head for so long; one of them was stuck in my head when I was taking the PSAT test. o.o
