Student || Aemon, the Outcast
[Where:] Jolly Tavern and Inn [With:] Gin and Emma [Feeling:] Weak, tired, slightly baffled [Outfit:]
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Aemon, wasting no time in finishing the rest of the stew and bread, as well as relishing the relieving, soothing taste of the well-made tea. He continued to listen to Gin, who announced he would be back shortly with a change of clothes. Seeing the wold shifter take off, he turned to Emma, who decided to run a bath for him to sooth his aching form. Aemon did not rebuke the suggestion and left the generous innkeeper to her devices as she made her way to the bathing chambers.

While sitting there, Aemon took in his surrounding, managing to just about to turn around to see the guests around him, welcoming each other, drinking and laughing together. He supposed the joyous vibe from the inn’s patrons complimented the tavern’s name quite well. The air of the customers certainly appeared to be…jolly. In any case, as the Azarian looked around a little more with his inquisitive gaze, taking note of the well-crafted woodwork and layout of the building. Most of all, a part of him felt comfortable here. The inn had a…homely…vibe to it.

His train of thought was interrupted as the innkeeper, Emma, approached him again to inform him that a bath had been prepared. At her request as to whether or not he was ready to make his way upstairs, Aemon nodded his head and, as much he regretted that he had to, reached out and let the woman help him up the stairs. Arriving at the bathing chambers, part of Aemon was relieved to find it empty. This was good. He could have a little peace and quiet. As he was sat down near the bath, Aemon was left to his own devices as he managed to, with much pain due to his aching muscles, and injuries, sip out of his ill-scented attire. From there, he undid his bandages, revealing the myriad of healing scars, alongside old withered ones as well as…a large red jewel…embedded in the centre of his chest. As he managed his way into the hot water, he could feel the sting on his cuts as he slid into a comfortable position. A bath was meant to sooth the body and the senses and the fact remained, he reeked! If he did not remain hygienic, then gods know what kind of infection would form out of it, he was already concerned he was showing early signs of scurvy. He lay back and did his best to relax, despite his stinging cuts. He hated the notion of asking for more than he had, he did so hate being indebted to others, but he would need to get new bandaging for his wounds. Speaking of, he’d need to figure out how to pay back these people for aiding him…ugh…being in someone else’s debt was always so tedious…however…it was what he was taught growing up. You could never take any gift, kindness or generosity for granted. If someone were to do you a kindness, it was only right to try and do the same. So, that being the case…what could he do…?

For now, he simply lay back and let the warm water and fragrances envelope him, letting the healing nature of the aquatic haven work it’s magic.

When Aemon was ready, Emma happily helped him up from his seat and through the Tavern. They took their time going up the stairs and down the hallway. Along the way, she pointed out his room and the number on the door. Stepping into the communal bathing room, she led Aemon to the bath. It was already filled with steaming water for his convenience. She pointed out all the amenities, the towel and the robe as she helped him steady himself on the edge.

“You should have everything you need. Take all the time you like, alright? If you need more hot water, just use the pump there, it will bring hot water up from the kitchen…” Emma said with a smile, moving toward the door. “Once Gin returns with your clothes, I’ll send him up. Enjoy your bath.” Stepping out, she closed the door behind her and headed back into the main dining room to serve her other customers…

    [ - 20 Minutes Later, Enter Gin into the Tavern - ]

Walking into the Jolly Tavern and Inn, a small sack slung over his shoulder, Gin looked around, catching sight of Emma. The lovely Inn Keeper looked up and smiled at him, waving him over. “Aemon is up in the baths. I told him you would come up with his clothes once you returned.” She said with a smile. Gin nodded and made to turn toward the stairs when he felt Emma grasp his hand and squeeze it. Looking at her curiously, his ears swiveling to the sides and then forward, he didn’t say anything. “Thank you for being such a sweetheart, Gin…” Emma said, squeezing his hand once more before letting him go.

Blushing a little bit, Gin gave Emma a little nod before heading up the stairs and down the hallway. He’d check the bathing room first and if Aemon wasn’t there he’d start knocking on doors. Seeing the door to the bathing room closed, he stepped up and knocked lightly, his ears twitching a bit. Opening it a crack, he kept his gaze on the floor as he popped his head inside. “Aemon? Are you still in here? I brought clothes…”

╔═══════════════════

Over the last 20 minutes, Aemon he started to wash himself as best he could. If he was honest with himself, it felt slightly humiliating. The warrior had been in battles before which had left him far worse for wear, yet he managed to pull through them regardless. Now, here he was, struggling to wash his own body, the simplest of tasks. He supposed that back then, when he recalled the altercations he had managed to survive, he was vastly better supplied than what he was when coming to Eoana. Regardless, Aemon, slowly but surely, through much stiff and sharp pains, managed to clean most of his body, all bar his back, which, no matter how hard he tried, his arms simply would not let him reach. Despite this difficult, Aemon was gradually starting to feel the pains and fatigue wear off slightly. It was still significantly present, but he was starting to feel a small, gradual difference.

He halted his motions as he heard the voice of the shifter from earlier, Gin, call through the door, letting him know he had brought fresh clothes. Aemon, finding himself relieved at the notion of have a fresh set of attire as opposed to the dirty, damaged, sweat-ridden rags he wore prior, responded in much the same monotone, neutral voice as he spoke in before, “I am here. You may come in.” Turning his head, he watched as the wolf shifter would enter with the clean set of clothes. Aemon, although he may have looked expressionless, did appreciate the fact that these strangers were going through all this trouble, however, while there was part of him still expecting there to be some catch, he would cross that bridge if he ever came to it. As Aemon watched the shifter, he remembered that he was still, at present, unable to clean his back, his back which, much like his arms and chest, had scars that required cleaning. Aemon hated the notion of asking this man for more after everything he had done for him already, for the Azarian warrior could not afford to take on more debt than what he already owed. However, in this instance, it did not change the fact that, like it or not, he needed someone else’s assistance in cleansing the wounds on his back..,and Gin was here...so…

Clearing his throat, Aemon addressed the wolf shifter “My…apologies Gin…you have done me…several kindnesses in this short…space of time of which I am…yet to repay…however…I am afraid I must ask you of one more…” turning his back to the shifter, indicating what he meant he continued, “ I…cannot reach my back…due to these damned wounds and pains…as you are here, would you mind in assisting me?” Of course, Aemon didn’t expect Gin to just jump at the propositions. It wasn’t the most gracious request, that was for sure. But what alternative was there? If these wounds were not washed out properly, then they ran the risk of infection, and right now in his current state, he couldn’t be bothered worrying about such tedious potentialities. Therefore, best to address the potential cause of a potential future issue now. Hopefully, Gin wasn’t too shy…

Gin nodded a little bit, stepping into the bathing room and closing the door behind him. According to his acute hearing, it seemed that Aemon was alone. Glancing up, he saw Aemon sitting in his tub, his hair wet and plastered to his head. With the angle of the tub, Gin mostly saw the man’s bare shoulders and back, much to his relief. Opening the small sack, he began to pull out the trousers, underthings, shirts, socks, boots and light cloak he’d borrowed from Ven’s closet. Gin had thrown in some of his things as well, spares that Aemon could keep – he didn’t mind parting with a few articles of clothing he didn’t wear anymore.

Gin was setting all the clothes out for Aemon when he heard the man’s words. At first, he was confused – why was he apologizing? Gin’s ears twisted to the sides a little bit before they flicked forward with realization at Aemon’s request. He blushed a deep pink and swallowed a bit. He wanted him to wash his back? Gin glanced over, only then noticing the scars and wounds that Aemon indicated – some of them looked rather pink and tender, others were in clear need of care.

Narrowing his gaze a little bit, he frowned and sighed a little bit. “Alright…” He wasn’t too comfortable with this, but it wasn’t a big deal…If Emma was here she’d probably think nothing of it and help him scrub his back. Scratching the back of his neck for a second he told himself not to be a wimp and he stepped forward to grab a sponge and soap. Kicking over a stool, Gin took a seat behind Aemon, keeping his eyes down, a light blush on his cheeks.

“I’m sure you have your reasons…but why didn’t you mention the injuries before?” He asked, gently washing along the top of Aemon’s shoulders, taking care to frequently rinse the sponge and clean on and around the wounds carefully. He pierced his lips as he worked, concentrating on his touch and his movements. He didn’t want to hurt the guy – but sadly, given the state of some of his wounds, it was likely inevitable…

“Sit forward a bit please…” Gin said so he could get to Aemon’s lower back, again, taking his time and being careful. The poor guy looked like he’d been in a pretty savage fight…

He gave her a small smile but then the form of his boyfriend appeared and he perked right up, his grin widening as Gannon brushed his lips against his knuckles. "Aww, that's fine. I'm glad you managed to make it anyways." He gave his lover's hand an affectionate squeeze, the other patrons in the room going unnoticed by the professor.

"I was eyeballing the daily special so how about we just eat here? I don't particularly feel up to cooking today." Jei stroked his thumb across Gannon's hand, his eyes fixated on his partner as his company seemed to drown out the quiet chatter of the other tavern attendees. "Oh, I think I'm a little bit better with helping the shifter class now. Student || Aemon, the Outcast
[Where:] Tavern [With:] Gin [Feeling:] Tired, somewhat relaxed [Outfit:]
[OOC:]
╔═══════════════════

Aemon remained still as he let Gin wash his back. He would feel the inconvenient sharp pains of his more deep-rooted scars, however, the Azarian warrior had managed through far worse. All things considered, he was grateful that Gin approached the task calmly, making sure to not irritate the scars too much. As time passed, Aemon listened to Gin’s words. Aemon sat forward at Gin’s request as he contemplated an answer. Once he had selected his words, he spoke “Your inquiry is a reasonable one…I suppose…it didn’t really occur to me at the time to mention…”

As Gin continued to wash his back, Aemon looked turned his head to look at the wolf shifter. He was a young man, like him, having a curious set of mismatching eyes that were…quite fetching if Aemon was honest with himself. The shifter was also littered with tattoos with various intricate and eye-catching designs. The more Aemon gazed at Gin’s form the more he found…the wolf shifter did seem rather…handsome. He looked strong, dependable and he could clearly be relied on, him going out of his way to take Aemon indoors off of the streets was evidence enough of that. Gazing back at the scars on his arms and chest, matching the kind he had on his back, he spoke again. He at least owed Gin some answers. “These scars…were dealt by bandits…a skilled group to say the least, they certainly gave me a challenge, that much is certain…I’ve had my share of run-ins with unsavoury individuals, but I can safely say…the ones who left these scars most certainly proved some difficulty in dispatching. However…it’s not like talking about particularly matters…seeing as they are no longer present in this world to speak of such an encounter themselves.” Afterwards, Aemon remained silent, letting Gin finish off washing his scars.

~ Eyrli entered the Jolly Tavern ~

The mute females building energy soon got the best of her as she hurried her way to the Tavern, looking to let Gin and the man know Harp is on her way with the supplies that were requested. She soon reached the Tavern and would make her way inside with a cheery expression on her face. Now, where did they go... Upon noticing that the men were not in the spot they were at earlier today, Eyrli looked to find Emma in order to ask where they went. When she spotted the Tavern owner Eyrli was quick to write down on her little notebook her question as to Gin and the white-haired mans whereabouts. She was almost hopping on the spot with excitement thanks to the various things that went down today

This became more obvious as the moment Emma said they were in the bathing room Eyrli was weaving past the tables and up the stairs, off to find the room before the owner could even finish her sentence. Maybe he's feeling better, if he got up those steps! The mute girl wondered, eyeing each door for a sign of some sort or trying to listen in for any recognisable voices. It quickly reached the point where she didn't even scan the doors, she'd just hold her ear up against them to listen in before moving to the next. After a couple of attempts she'd started hearing muffled voices from inside one of the room. Listening in, she almost right away noticed Gin's voice, it was hard to hear but she could make out something about injuries. I wonder what's going on. Maybe I should... Like, wait...

Eyrli's face scrunched up out of sheer impatience as she'd stand up straight and get ready to walk away. The moment she reached the stairs however, she was already done. ...Time's up. In an instant Eyrli spun round, her face practically radiating her ever-increasing excitement as she'd sprint down the hall, making her presence almost ABSOLUTELY clear with each step, almost sliding for a brief second as she'd stop and turn to the door before she'd raised her right foot to the door and thrust it forward with a loud thud, the door practically blasting open. revealing the seemingly careless Elementor in the doorway, posing with her foot in the air as she would notice the Shifter and the stranger, not quite paying attention to what they're doing as she held her pose with a victorious look on her face. Though only after she'd already made her overdramatic entrance did something click in her head from Emma's answer earlier. Wait. Did she say "Bath?"

══════════════════════════════════════

Gin was very much aware of the fact that Aemon was looking at him, observing him – he was blatantly looking over his shoulder after all. Keeping his gaze on the task at hand, he didn’t say anything, letting Aemon look his fill – Gin knew that he was exotic looking, given his eyes, his tattoos and his unique coloring. But, despite not been surprised by the looks, he started to blush a bit. Aemon reminded him a lot of his past lover and that…was unsettling. Mainly because he was still recovering from his heart ache and not wanting to remember it, for his own sake.

As Aemon spoke of his wound Gin was and wasn’t surprised to hear that they were dealt to him by bandits. He didn’t know what like was like in the harsh desert, but he supposed that if you had something that someone else wanted, then people would do what they could to take it from you, even if it meant slicing you to ribbons… Gin felt bad knowing that Aemon had likely been attacked on his own – wouldn’t he have had a companion otherwise? But, again, thieving happened everywhere and considering how Aemon referred to them in the past tense as ‘dispatched’ and ‘no longer present in this world’, Gin could only assume that Aemon had fought the battle and won.

“You must be a very skilled fighter, to take on a band of bandits and win.” Gin said, easily paying him the compliment. “We had an attack on the city a few months back – a group of extremists who came for unknown reasons. Having you in town makes me feel a little better – one more person to help defend the city in case of another attack.” One had to wonder what Aemon would have done if he had been present for the fight…

Aemon had noticed the light blush on Gin's face. He had not intended to make the wolf shifter uncomfortable with his gaze, though he supposed he would have come across as if he was staring. He took in Gin's words as the shifter spoke. So, that's why everyone seemed a little on edge earlier, there had been an attack on the city. Unfortunate, yet the fact that the purpose behind the attack was unknown intrigued Aemon a tad, though he paid the notion no serious thought. Pondering an event at which he was not present would serve no purpose, therefore, it seemed irrelevant for him to focus on in any great detail. He listened as Gin expressed his comfort at knowing that Aemon, a warrior himself, was present in the city, as another who was capable of fighting and defending the city should the need arise. Aemon looked back at the shifter,"I see. Now I understand your cautious tone from earlier..."

Gin smirked a little bit, nodding. “Exactly…You looked suspicious, so I approached with some caution.” He said with a slight shrug to his shoulders as he rung out the sponge and placed it aside, done with his task.

Just as Gin was about to arise from the stool to excuse himself and give Aemon back his privacy, he heard the sound of footsteps. At first, the thought it was another guest heading to their room, but as those steps became louder and faster he knew better. “Brace yourself.” Was all he had time to say before the door was kicked in – literally.

Once Gin had finished what Aemon had requested of him, Aemon looked back at the shifter, "My thanks...Gin. The help is...very much appreciated." It was at that moment Aemon heard very...VERY loud footsteps approaching the door. The Azarian was vexed further at Gin's warning. Brace himself, brace himself for wha-

    -Whomp!-

At that moment, the door to the bathing chambers swung open due to the force of a kick, and in stepped the girl from eariler, Eryli. standing with an odd look of pride on her face, that was until there seemed to be a look of sudden recognition on her face as she realized what she had just done.

Fully expecting to see his sister standing in the doorway, he was thoroughly surprised to see Eryli standing there looking very proud of herself. Did she think nearly breaking the door off its hinges was an accomplishment? “Ooooooo~ Emma is gonna kill you, girl…” Even as he said it, Emma’s voice could be heard from downstairs.

    “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!”

Smirking, Gin remained in his seat, arms crossed over his chest as he shook his head. “You’re in for it now…” This was going to be highly entertaining…

Sighing to himself, Aemon gave the glanced at Gin, who wore a smirk on his face as he teased at the girl's impending doom at the ire of the innkeeper, the reality of which made evident by Emma's raised voice from downstairs. Aemon cringed slightly at all the sudden noise, not to mention the draft of cold air that suddenly assaulted him, the warm air escaping the chamber. Wearing a deadpanned expression, Aemon looked to the girl while spoke addressing both her and Gin "I see this one doesn't quite fully grasp the nature of discretion and manners." Continuing he took a stern tone as he addressed Eryli directly, responding the evidently aggravated female downstairs "In future, this is why you knock first."

Gannon didn’t mind staying at the tavern to sample their specials – as long as he and Jei were able to spend some quality time together that was all that mattered to him. As of late, some very disturbing rumors were circulating and Gannon had been running around trying to see what was what, hence why he’d been late this afternoon. If something bad was on the horizon then while he could, he wanted to spend time with Jei…

Hearing about the shifter class, Gannon smiled. “That’s wonderful, Jei. I was hesitant to combine the classes but I know that Ven and Gin have been struggling…well, mostly Gin. Ven was struggling with his animal instinct to hibernate all winter so Gin really had to pick up the slack, poor guy.” He had to hand it to the TA though, Gin had done a very good job in Ven’s absence.

As Jei leaned over and kissed him, he blushed a bit and smiled. “I am always happy to help, Jei, you know that…” Yes, it was part of his job, but it was so much more than that too…he wanted to see Jei succeed and if he could help by offering advise then he was more than happy to give it.

After a short time, Emma came over with a tray. She placed two cups, a fresh pot of tea, a cup of creamer and a small bowl of sugar on the table. Gannon gave her their order with a smile – two specials – of which Emma was happy to retrieve for them. Once their food was delivered, Gannon and Jei happily dug in, chatting about the Academy and various other things. Gannon hoped, that despite the rumors and what was going on in the city, that these peaceful moments would continue. He and Jei had only just found one another and he hated to think that this time together wouldn’t last…

Emma had been serving one of her regular customers some mead when she’d heard the stomping, hurried steps directly above her head. Her gaze had narrowed as she’d looked up at the ceiling only to hear the door at the end of the hall – leading into the Bathing Room, SLAM OPEN. Feeling her blood begin to boil, she opened her mouth before she thought about it and shouted.

“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!” She hollered, much to the surprise of several of her patrons. Piercing her lips, she put her mead pitcher down and shook her head. “I’m going to kill that girl…” Emma muttered, suspecting she knew who the culprit was – the only person she’d recently sent upstairs to the bathing room.

Looking back at her startled patron, she sighed. “It’s on the house love…Please excuse me.” She said, leaving him the pitcher to drink to his delight before she gathered her skirts and headed for the stairs. “She better have one damn good excuse or she’s going to be washing dishes for a week!” Emma muttered to herself as she stomped up the stairs and headed straight down the hall.

The first thing she saw was Eryli standing in the doorway of the Bathing Room…Yep, Eryli must have been her culprit… “Hey! What do you think you’re doing!?” Emma said, hands on her hips and an irritated, upset look on her face. “I didn’t send you up here so you could run stomping down the halls and go slamming doors! I have customers young lady!” Emma said as she approached the girl and looked in, seeing Aemon still in the tub and Gin sitting on a stool looking like he was ready for a show.

Shaking her head she shooed Eryli from the room. “Out, out, OUT.” Grabbing the door knob, she looked back at Aemon. “Please excuse the interruption…” With that, she closed the door and looked to the girl before her. “You know, for such a quiet girl, you sure make a lot of noise, and trouble. Now, come with me, to make up for your blunder you now have the pleasure of washing all the dishes in the tavern, for the next week! Emma didn’t mess around – not when it came to her business…

The mute girls focus snapped back to reality once she'd heard the voice of Emma downstairs, pulling herself from her pose and standing up straight before looking around, blinking as she appeared a little confused as to what just happened. Oh yeah. She'd said they were in the baths. Huh... The girls bright gaze returned to Gin and the stranger as she'd finally realised what she was seeing. Well, not entirely. More so she'd likely be assuming the wrong scenario, being aware that the Shifter male once dated a boy who looked pretty similar to the strange man beside him.

Before she could react to the scene at all, Emma was already upstairs and approaching the mute girl, who's expression was now more shocked, caught off guard by how fast the owner was up the steps and confronting the Elementor. Even if she could speak, no way she'd talk her way out of her current position. Eyrli's facial expression went almost dumbfounded as she was dragged out of the room, but as she was being pushed out, the notebook she carried around would drop from her pocket, already leaning out beforehand after her dramatic posing, leaving it to sit just inside the Bathing Chamber by the corner of the doorway. The Student was then given a firm talking to, including a punishment from Emma as she'd declare Eyrli would be spending a week washing dishes. All WEEK? Darn it! She'd give a grumpy pouty face, making her feelings about the punishment clear as day. Though she knew she'd have to do it.

This fact made the said moody expression dissipate almost as quickly as it appeared. Eh. No reason to sulk now. Knowing she had to just go along with it after her own silly behaviour, Eyrli nodded in acknowledgement, her normal smile returning somewhat, it would be silly to let something like this put her down. If she did, it's more likely she'd do the task with half the effort, thus ending up in more trouble. Though having not been around the Tavern much, she wasn't entirely sure where she was meant to go and thus waited on Emma's orders, ready to follow her to her position.

Aemon watched as the scene unfolded in front of him. It was only a matter of time before Emma had charged up the stairs to find Eryli standing in the doorway to the bathing chambers, with Gin sitting back, ready for a show, and Aemon himself, slightly inconvenienced by all the commotion. The white-haired girl got a talking to that was for sure, however, it did not escape Aemon that a small notebook had fallen from the girl's pocket as she was shooed out of the room. As Emma apologized and the door closed, Aemon looked towards Gin and queried "This place definitely seems to have a...wild vibe about it..."

The warrior supposed it was time to get out and dry himself off. Gripping both sides of the tub, he let out a loud relieved sigh as he stood up, the water streaming down him like miniature waterfalls as he stretched his tired muscles, cracked a few bones in his arms, back, neck, knuckles and shoulders. Letting out a relieved sigh once more, Aemon spoke calmly "Aaaahhhh...that's much better. Still a bit stiff in places but nothing a bed and some rest wouldn’t help." Taking his time stepping out so as not too irritated his tired form too much, and also so as not to slip on the well-kept wooden floor, he proceeded to dry himself off.

Gin was loving this. Emma was one with which you do not ********, that was for sure. He didn’t blame her for being upset - she had a business to run after all! Couldn’t have someone stomping down the hallways and busting in doors while people were trying to sleep or bathe for that matter! Waving at Emma as she took Eryli away, he sighed and shook his head. As Aemon looked over his shoulder, he shrugged a little bit. "I guess you could say that...It's not as crazy as the Academy gets, that’s for sure."

Before much else could be said, Aemon began to rise out of the tub! Gin's eyes went wide as he caught a very clear eyeful of Aemon's booty before he could turn around to give the man some privacy. Cheeks ablaze with a blush, he closed his eyes and shook his head a little bit. There was no getting that image out of his head - what has been seen cannot be unseen!! Feeling awkward as all hell, he covered half his face with one hand and sighed a bit, at a loss as to what he should do. Aemon was naked and he was standing between Gin and the only exit. Rock meet Hard Place.

As Aemon dried himself off, he noticed Gin's demeanor completely change. The wolf shifter had gone from confident and clever to a blushing mess. What was that all about? Pushing some of his hair back, he tilted his head for a split second as he finished trying himself with the towel. What was up with him? Well let's check, Aemon had barely spoke this entire time, bar answering questions and reacting to the immediate situation. All he did was stand to dry himself, what was the - then it clicked - he was still naked. Sighing, the man had forgotten himself. There were certain people who considered seeing each other in the nude impolite, in considerate or generally socially unacceptable. Glancing at the pile of clothes Gin had left him, he donned the breaches, trousers and footwear before addressing the now red wolf shifter, "My apologies. You may turn around now"

Walking over to the door, he picked up the small notebook and addressed the wolf shifter again. "The young woman dropped this notebook. I will need to return it to her."

Hearing Aemon's words, Gin peeked over to see that he'd gotten dressed - at least half way. Thank the Gods! But even as he was relieved to see that Aemon was more or less decent, his gaze locked on the gem that was seemingly embedded in Aemon's chest. Blinking a bit, Gin tilted his head to the side a little, his ears fwipping this way and that as he tried to figure out what he was seeing. At first glance he'd thought it was part of a necklace of some kink, but no, it was clearly embedded within Aemon himself. Frowning a little bit, he was drawn out of his thoughts as Aemon approached him with Eryli's notebook. Shaking his head a little bit he stood up from the stool and approached the other. "I can give it to her if you like...She'll need it sooner rather than later, anyway."

Aemon looked at Gin curiously as the shifter seemed to gaze at him. Looking down, Aemon put two and two together and realized that the wolf was gazing at the red gem in his chest. At that moment, Aemon became visual disturbed , but only for a moment, before he returned to his calm self. Hearing Gin's words, he took a moment to consider as he glanced down at the small notebook. Looking back at Gin, he responded handing the book back, "Very well." Aemon supposed he should've been the one to give it back, but Aemon would need to do more than that to repay his debt to these people. They did save his life after all.

As Aemon donned the rest of the clothing Gin had supplied, which was quite comfortable and fitted remarkably well, Aemon looked towards Gin as he headed for the door saying "You said something about an academy?"

Gin took the notebook and nodded a bit, opening the door once Aemon had donned the rest of the clothes that he'd brought for him - surprisingly everything seemed to fit just right... "Yeah, Eoana Academy...it’s a school where people can learn to control and strengthen their raiments. I'm a Teaching Assistant there..." Gin said as he stepped out of the bathing chamber and into the hallway, he slowly walked down the hall, keeping Aemon in his peripheral vision just in case he needed some help. "Anyone can attend, they just need to apply and pass and interview with the Headmaster....in case you were interested..." Gin said with a small shrug. Stopping outside of Aemon's designated room, he looked at the man, his ears twisting this way and that a bit. "Uhm...it was nice to meet you Aemon. I hope that you get back on your feet okay." Gin said, offering him his hand to shake.

Aemon listened with much intrigue to Gin's words as the wolf shifter explained the nature of the academy and how to apply for a position there. So, to learn and strengthen your raiment? It definitely sounded interesting to say the least. Aemon nodded in understanding at Gin's explanation, responding with a considerate hmm as the two stopped outside of his room. Turning to Gin once more, he observed as the shifter made his farewell and extended his hand for a handshake. Extending his own arm, Aemon took the shifter's hand and shook it "Likewise. Again, I thank you for your aid. I will say again, I will ensure my debt is repaid to you all for your assistance. Therefore, should you required aid, you may call upon me if you deem my services necessary. Good day, Gin."

With that, Aemon entered his room. Quickly disrobing, he climbed into the sheets, and near instantaneously fell to sleep, his mind drifting off into a peaceful slumber.

Gin grasped Aemon's hand and shook it for a few moments as Aemon spoke. Nodding a bit, he gave the other a small smile. "I appreciate that, Aemon." Gin said truthfully, however, he wasn’t one to call in debts. While Aemon was adamant about repaying him, Gin wasn’t worried about it, nor did he expect it. This had been him paying forward a good deed. However, if he ever did need help, it was nice to know that he had someone he could run to if needed.

"Good day, Aemon. Rest well." As Aemon entered his room, Gin turned away and headed down the hallway. As far as Gin was concerned, he'd likely never see the man again, given his 'nomadic' nature. But it was just as well, he reminded him of Sokea and that wasn’t necessarily a good thing. His head might not know that this wasn’t his long-lost lover, but his heart had doubts and that wasn’t a good thing...

Emma led Eryli all the way down the hall, then down the stairs and through the tavern’s dining area, past the many patrons, behind the bar and finally into the kitchen. “Alright Eryli…” Emma said as she placed her hands on her hips and looked toward the washing sinks. “First, you take the dirty plates and you scare the scraps into that barrel there…then, you scrub and rinse in that barrel, and do a final rinse there. That wrack there is used for drying…” She explained, rolling up her sleeves to show Eryli just how to do it. She scrubbed a plate nice and clean before rinsing it thoroughly and placing it on the wrack to dry. “If you need fresh water, just flag down the kitchen boy…I’ll be out in the main tavern area if you need me.” She said with a little sigh before drying her hands and heading out to the bar.

Gin came down the stairs with a bit of a sigh. Scratching the back of his head a bit, he looked around for Emma and Eryli. He’d heard Emma mention ‘dishes’ through the door as she was leading Eryli away. Looking toward the bar he caught sight of Emma, who was serving drinks to a patron. Walking over, he took a seat and waited for Emma to have a moment before he flagged her over. “This belongs to Eryli…she’ll need it to communicate with you.” Gin said. At Emma’s look of confusion, he sighed a little. “She’s mute, Emma…she can’t speak.”

Emma blinked a little in surprise as she took the notebook and Gin explained why the girl was so quiet. “I thought she was just a girl of few words! Huh…” She said with a shake of her head, putting the book in her apron pocket. “I’ll make sure she gets it…” Suspecting Gin wanted to be heading out, she gave him a smile and turned to head into the kitchen while he took his leave for the day.

“Eryli, I have your book. Gin found it and asked me to give it to you…” HSe said, placing it on a shelf where it was dry and Eryli could see it and grab it when she needed it. “Once you’re finished, you can head home…but I expect to see you tomorrow after classes. You owe me seven days of dish washing…” With that, Emma got back to work herself. Looking at the setting sun, she sighed – she had a feeling Sarai wouldn’t be home tonight and it made her very uneasy…

Eyrli payed close attention to Emma's instructions, nodding at the end of the womans sentences to show her understanding. It should go without saying that she would do well to just do what's expected down to the finest detail to avoid getting even further on Emma's bad side. Well, suppose I'd better get down to it then. Once she was given a brief demenstration, Eyrli was soon taking her place to begin washing up. The mute girl would roll her sleeves back and get to work, giving one more nod of acknowledgement for Emma before focusing on washing the dishes.

It wasn't too long before the Tavern owner seemed to return, holding Eyrli's book? She'd pause and stare in Emma's direction, a puzzled look on her face. When did I..? Huh... Alright then. The Elementor gave her a quick bow to thank her for giving it back. That would have been rather... Inconvenient... If she'd found out later on. Either way, Eyrli would return to her punishment, silent as always. This would consume the girls day before it was time to return to her Dorms. One day down, six to go... With her book safely returned, the Elementor was away to turn in for the night.

~ Eyrli left the Jolly Tavern, ending the day ~

    {-Interactions Open for New RP Day-}

The early morning light protruded through the room’s window, gradually awakening the slumbering warrior. He had slept remarkably well last night, then again, it does make a difference when you aren’t camping out in the wilds of nature. This sense of revitalisation was only aided by the supplementary medication supplied to him by a woman named “Harp” the previous day.

It had been a long time since Aemon had slept with a proper roof over his head, it was a pleasant change. Briefly stretching and yawning, the white-haired man rose to greet the day as he rose, the shrugging off of the sheets, before stretching properly before donning the clothes Gin gave him the previous day.

Exiting his room, locking the door, Aemon made his way downstairs, he witnessed the tavern’s derelict emptiness, a stark contrast of the bustling trade seen the previous day. Then again, it was early in the morning, around 8:30am would’ve been Aemon’s guess. Making his way through the dining area, the tavern looked so deserted he was beginning to wonder if there was anyone here at all.

Deciding it was best, he called out to see if anyone was around, “Hello? Anyone about?”
