Personality:
Jon Snow is a b*****d of Ned Stark. It is what he's been told as long as he can remember. Growing up under Catelyn's (Ned's wife's) disapproval of his being raised with the trueborn heirs, Jon Snow grew up faster. A b*****d does not have an easy life, even in the herd of a lord. He is solemn and younger than he seems. He is a stallion of honor and deep loyalty.
He shared a close relationship with his father despite his father's refusal to ever discuss who is mother was. He is also close with Robb and his sister Arya, more so than his other siblings.
He's a good with a sword and great with his mind. He can read and understands politics despite his dislike for politics. He is brave, kind, and somber taking more after his father than all of his half-siblings but Arya.
At times he is bitter about his situation in life and it is that feeling that makes him decide to go out and find his honor (eventually with the Night's Watch).
He shares a particular connection to his silent Direwolf Ghost who he raised from a pup. They often work in perfect synchronization and often Ghost warns him to a threat before he realizes it.

Backstory:
Jon Snow is Ned Stark's b*****d. Ned, a faithful and honorable man, returned from war to a wife he barely knew with a foal from another mare. Jon was of an age with his half-brother Robb, born near around the same time. His father said that he was born after Robb and that he had broken his marriage vows.
Jon grew up in the North and learned to serve the Gods of the North and of his father--the Old Gods. Before the heart's tree in the Weirwood Grove of Winterfell, he prayed to be accepted which was something that Catelyn (his father's wife) would never allow.
Despite that, he grew up well. He was taught swordplay, logic, and everything his trueborn brother was. He and Robb were close and remain close. Sansa more like her mother has always been more distance, but it is with Arya with whom he is closest. They both look the most like their father, with little of the Tully blood showing in her.
When the raven came with it's dark wings and dark words, Ned went South with his two daughters into the land of the Soquili to try to help his friend and King, Robert Baretheon. Robb remained in Winterfell as there must always be a Stark in Winterfell and Bran injured in terrible accident lay close to death.
It was then that Jon Snow decided to leave Winterfell and find his honor (of which a b*****d has none).
It is during his journey to find a place for himself (which he will later join the Night's Watch) that he hears news of his father's death--beheaded as a traitor to the Crown.
His brother Robb raises the banners and declares himself King in the North, beginning a campaign to get his sister's home.
Sansa is stuck in the South, everyone trying to use her in their deadly game of Thrones.
Arya is lost, assumed dead, but with her trusty Needle she seeks revenge
Bran and Rickon have not been seen for a long time, though their deaths have been widely told.

Phail here with your monthly stats announcement :3 As I'm sure you're all aware, the July stats thread is now open so you can claim your stats, and bonus stats for this month can give you a 2% boost in stamina!

Jon has joined The Night's Watch (Rp this) and is off to the North secretly scouting. It is there that he meets and falls for Lynnea. But the North is cruel and Winter is Coming, and spring cannot last forever.
