The snoutbeast snored in defeat as Chiara got up and heroically posed with her foot on top of it. The blueblood gave it one final kick in victory, much to the booth owner's dismay, and went to collect her prizes. She chose a stuffed snout-beast too, maybe she would give it to Zariah...

Keionx did not understand their villainy, intentional or no, and she tried her heroic best to fish the awful produce out of the pot and seek out the culprits. Somehow, though, they eluded her... although... didn't that hemoanon woman look... yes, yes she did, and she was no villain. But that twisted-horned blueblood, however.... Keionx resolved to keep a very close watch on that one.

It was just too fun, and it was good falling practice, and it was fun. One could not underestimate the value of fun. Although Keionx found nothing, she felt like it had been a suitable reprieve... but it was back to her duty for her.

Quote: I'm burning mooncakes! I mean baking. My cakes are: Cloying -1, Flaky +1, Press too hard -1, Undercooked -2 Tickets won: 0 ... these mooncakes were addictive, Keionx felt, too much so. Perhaps they had the right amounts of fats and vitamins for the highly intensive muscle-building and strength-maintaining diet that her lusus had had her on for as long as she could remember, but they probably didn't. Still, they were energizing and fun to make... despite her apparent inability to make them this time around. She smiled as she remembered her previous instance - a kindness to a lusus. Unfortunately these cloying cakes would not make for a good gift... so she threw them to the snoutbeasts and observed... well. She observed the twisted-horned troll wrestling a snoutbeast. Hmmm... They did, indeed, look familiar... Especially covered in mud... Ah! The swamp! was this not the blueblood troll? The one that Zariah had confronted...? Keionx bristled and moved away from the fence. This troll would recognize her - and it would cause problems. She would be watching, though... she would certainly be watching this one carefully.

Not completely valueless like the ever crappy totatoes, of course, so she didn't trade them all, but... still pretty bad. So, she traded a few for Punkins, which seemed to generally do well, and traded a few of those in for the valuable raffle tickets. It would probably have been better to wait, likely, but Keionx was not blessed with great reserves of patience. She had some, to be sure, but all the buying and trading and selling was too much excitement for that...

Perplexed, she glanced over at the farmer and considered. "Are you sure no one's found it yet? It's still in there to be found, right?" If someone had already taken it, then she would just need to find out who and- Oh, no, no one had claimed the prize yet. She looked back at the stack with a 'hmm'.

Or perhaps he was, he had to be to garden, but boy was that cooking pot not helping him show it! He dropped a tarnip in and stared into it's stewing depths, trying not to drool. It couldn't be ready too soon for him, oh no indeed... "Hey! You!" Sephos turned to stare at the troll in charge of overseeing the cooking pot. "Nice produce there, dude." "'kay." Sephos wondered why the troll was bothering him... and, moreover, why he was brandishing some sort of bowl. "Here you go, dude, a gift 'cause I've been seeing you around and I've got a crapton of these stupid things..." Sephos took the bowl wordlessly, looking it over. It... actually, it would make an excellent flowerpot. "You're welcome!" "'kay." Sephos said, grunting something that could maybe have been a thank you before leaving. "Rude little s**t..." the troll muttered after him, "But dude had good taste in produce." And pots, apparently...

Etsali frowned at the ingredients as she cooked, trying to remember what exactly she had done that had made them so pretty the first time. Well, maybe not pretty, she remembered they'd been kind of squished, but at least they'd been well cooked. Popping one of her failed creations into her mouth, she made a face and moved on.

His last one was overcooked, sure, but that didn't make it any less delicious! It was nearly perfect, he just had to cook it right this time. He let out a laugh, stamping down another cake. Oh, this mooncake was a perfect mess. The last one was perfect, just a little burnt! How could it end up like this, so soon after his last batch? Leeroi pouted, kicking the dirt. Whatever, he supposed he could move on and do something else now.

She wasn't entirely sure all the other ones had been the best, though they'd looked alright to her, but this one was definitely it. It was the best looking punkin she had and everything! She'd been considering the crop bartering thing some more when she'd realized it was too perfect to just trade. She wanted to eat it, and there was a pot just full of things everyone wanted to eat to throw it in. Perfect.

Despite whatever poisoned him in the haystack, it all really was much more entertaining than that fancy party he had attended. Why did everyone think lowbloods were so horrible? It was clear to Leeroi that they were the kind of people who really knew how to party. Glitch stopped before the crop bartering tent, glancing at her charge. How about this, little one? she offered with a loud bleat. Wiping his snotty face with his sleeve, Leeroi bumbled up for a closer look at the crops. It didn't seem particularly exciting, but perhaps he could make his own fun game out of it. He did enjoy math games, after all.

Quote: I'm potentially poisoning everyone. Quality increase: +3 (and +1 for totato) Barter crop: +1 totato Tickets won: 0 Crops in tow, the next tent to catch Leeroi's eye was of course, another food related one. Glitch couldn't blame the hungry little kid, she knew this would happen. She was thankful that he was spending his time eating food over trying to wrestle beasts that were bigger than him. Not to mention, anything here was better than the junk he usually ate at home. Perhaps she could take some home with her? Those crops would make for a delicious stew. Just as she was thinking this, she watched Leeroi drop one of his totatoes into the community stew, yelling "FOR THE GREATER GOOD!" He chuckled to himself, looking for more ingredients to throw in. He snatched up a strange, cylindrical kind of punkin, dropping it into the pot. Satisfied, he saluted the vendor and rushed back to his lusus, ready for more adventure.

"T-the snoutbeast..." "... What, kid?"
Apparently, this greasy clod couldn't be bothered to open his hear-holes enough to listen to a simple request. Mahmud was already tense as all heck, and even though the festival was just beginning for the night another troll had already tried to catch the snoutbeast today. Honest to gog he couldn't care less if it was tradition, but his mom begged him to try.
"Coo!" she had said. "Cooo coo!" "Coo, coo coocooo!"
Gog, she knew just what to say to twist him into doing things.
So the hope had been that he'd get to the snoutbeast before anyone else could, and that maybe, just maybe, it would be easy on him. Given that another troll just riled it up, the odds of that were like finding that stupid needle from before. Odds of his rear cushions being kicked though? Stellar, like finding hay in his pants nights after having the dumb idea to hide it there.
Clearing his throat, Mahmud started again, this time with some firmness to his voice, hoping it would make the guy take him seriously. "The snoutbeast. I want a turn on it, now." It must have worked, because the other troll had gone to go get it, grumbling something about snot-nosed demanding kids. Next thing he knew he was face to face with a squealbeast, wondering why the hell he listened to Ommy.

Quote: I'm digging in the haystack ... I found: A button!! Tickets won: 5 After screaming with his lusus for a few minutes, Glitch had finally acquiesced and allowed Leeroi another try at finding the needle in the haystack. She tried to explain allergies to him, she really did, but Leeroi refused the idea. There was no possible way that he could be weakened by something so mundane as hay. Clearly, somebody had dropped some kind of powder in his last particular haystack. If he tried a different one, he would be totally fine. Or so he thought. Not even a few minutes after digging around in the hay, Leeroi popped his head out and started whining for his lusus again. He refused to let her think she was right. A weakness to grass? Ridiculous. Maybe he was just feeling sick today...
