Marmalade watched them free the cottonee and was concerned when they moved on without Lain. But Lain had found them on her own and she could look after herself.
They reached a canyon where the ground quaked occasionally.

Goliath wasn't really sad to see the bug go, but he was worried over whether or not she would be okay after that the wind was intense after all. As the others trudged on ahead, he kept an eye out for the missing guide. She had found them earlier, so she could find them again. The shaking ground was getting a bit irritating though. From one hazard to another he supposed was how this day was going to end up.

Caliban stepped cautiously into the canyon. He couldn't help but think of the cave at the sight of stone walls on either side. But there was no shortage of light, and a clear way forward, so after a breath he carried on.

Goliath noticed that the cliffs were not affected by the ground. He started looking around the ground to see if it was all shaking or only places, no luck there the ground was sporadic. Just the Cliffs were stable. "How's that possible?" He said out loud looking directly at the cliffs. "The cliffs aren't moving yet the ground is. Something underground maybe?" He said while looking down again.
Spotting Goliath, Caliban walked up beside the Growlithe and looked up and down the canyon. "There must be something only directly beneath us, if the cliffs are steady. We shouldn't stay here, unless we want to end up underground ourselves." The Leafeon gave the faintest of shudders at the thought.

Goliath jumped a bit at Caliban's voice. "You really shouldn't sneak up on others." He muttered to the ground. His ears drooped when the Leafeon started talking about the underground. "Being underground in a cave is enough for one day. I'd rather not repeat that" He shook his head to clear thoughts of tripping and slipping in the dark cave away. "Lets go." He started down the path luckily the ground didn't move underneath him, yet.

Caliban gave Goliath a look. "I wasn't sneaking, pup. Keep your ears open."
The ground had been quiet for a while now, but he knew it was only a matter of time. He trotted along beside the Growlithe, keeping an eye out for anything else odd.

The ground shook beneath him, and he braced his legs, hoping they weren't about to plummet into the heart of the mountain.
He looked around to see what it was Goliath had spotted.

Cecil hated having to get out of the river, but he still had his leaves from it which he now had stuck to his body. It made traveling a bit easier to have something more familiar with him. Maybe this was something he should have done earlier when he started out on this adventure of sorts. The wind was heavy on this part but thanks to his group he was able to bare it quite easily, even if the terrain had become a bit unstable around them. Something wasn't quite right, but he couldn't tell what it was at the moment.
"We were following someone before?" the mudkip questioned, quite not knowing why the entire group had been their in the first place. As they continued the wind seemed to die down but the terrain under him remained the same. His eyes still remained closed as they were since the cave. It was easier to pin point things this way, easier to concentrate on them. He had the voices of his group pinned down as well as the sounds they made when they breathed, it was easier to find them, but he was slowly realizing there were even more conversations on the one they had. "How many more other pokemon are there?" he questioned.

"Pah! This is turning into quite the ordeal!" Domo grumbled, floating just above the ground so that the quakes wouldn't unsteady him. At least the wind was no longer an issue.
He looked down at Cecil. "Aye, but the flighty masquerain was not the best to follow... we've been on our own for the majority, da."

Goliath started watching the ground looking for a pattern. The ground was shaking only in certain areas. "The ground isn't all shaking at once, its weird some places move while others don't." He sat down trying to see the pattern behind it.
