Seika Murakami  He was tired, Seika could see that. He was barely standing, and that made her scowl despite herself. She was so glad he was alright after that spore almost took them off guard, but... he couldn't go around overexerting himself like that. Still... she knew that even if she were to tell him anything about it...he would just smile and say he needed to protect anyone whatever the cost. That was just who he was.
"Let's find you a place for you to sit down..." the redhead said instead, helping him. He had the right to rest too... "You don't have to do this all on your own, you know..."  "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."He was almost ready to collapse when Seika finally came to his side and supported him, helping him to find a seat to relax...the breath that came to him there enough to slowly begin mending his weakened body and allow him to feel more like himself again. But more refreshing than sitting down was the presence of his red-haired companion, knowing she was still there for him, that she was willing to support him when he was weak even if she wasn't sure she believed in what they were doing...she was supporting him, and that was all that he needed to feel strong. "Aa...thank you," the university student smiled easily, touching the back of her hand lightly for a moment to let her know he was there, that he was supporting her too, "I believe in you. We can help..."
He nodded quietly to her, before slowly cracking his back as he stood to loosen up a little, extending a hand to her as an idea came to him. Maybe what Shiva was looking for wasn't one of his dances...maybe if they did this as a duet?
"Let's dance," he dropped the line casually, as though nothing at all were weird or out of place about it amidst this chaos, "Ronaldo said that Shiva likes dance...and if we make him happy, he will shoot down Alioth. We can do it, Seika."

Seika Murakami "Are you insane?" Seika looked at his extended hand in front of her, her ashen eyes turning back to magenta orbs unsure about what was the university student thinking. Dancing? Why would they even try something as useless as that?
"I've heard the rumors, Hatsu, but... I really don't think it will work." Still... his puppy eyes were enough to break her will, a sigh escaping her lips as she darted her gaze to the side... lips pursing. Dancing... when had it been the last time she had actually danced? As a yound kid, maybe? Way back then when she lived with her parents and they made her go to that dreadful ballet class? That was probably it.
One more look at him, and she was taking his hand, letting him guide her for this. Her hand rested on his shoulder... the other still tightly grasping his... Was that how it was done? She was tense, it was obvious to see. She was uncomfortable, having others watching them... Even having him this close was still a bit strange to her. She wasn't one who showed much physical affection, so this was... way more than she had done in a while. But... he looked content... and that was enough for her.

This was what happened any time people tried to do something beautiful when the world was coming to an end...no, karma didn't attack people who were out there trying to rape and kill and steal from one another, it decided to drop an Alioth Spore right smack in the middle of the shelter two people trying to help others were dancing in right as they were dancing and try to kill them both in one fell swoop! Hatsu's eyes shot wide open as the sound of a dramatic splat behind Seika alerted him to their impending danger...and no sooner had he realized it than he fell back and pulled her with him, making sure to get her out of the range of the deadly toxin before nearly tripping over his own feet near the edge of its range.
...He was fortunate that Po the Ogre had been patrolling nearby, not yet desummoned, and coming out of the aether he scooped up his Master and set him safely outside of the toxin radius next to his wild-eyes companion, nodding like a bro down at the university student with his toothy Ogre grin.
"Aa...that was close..." he let out a breath, an internal longing to go back to what they were doing strong...but silent as the moment had been lost...for now, "I hope that more don't drop on the shelter. Seika Murakami The moment was lost. And even if Seika had felt that dancing wouldn't bring them any good and that they were lowering their guards and exposing themselves... the thought that that spore had ruined a moment between them made her furious. Hatsu had barely escaped thanks to his demon, and Seika nodded to the Ogre for his help.
It was then that another one of those spores plopped in before them, Seika curling her fingers into fists. Her rage was enough for the girl to dash forward blindly, hitting and kicking and her demon helping as she delivered the final blow. She breathed heavily... letting out a loud huff. I have no doubts that this entire shelter would have been overrun if you two weren't here. That's hundreds, if not thousands of lives you've protected," Ronaldo's voice came from behind the two as Seika's anger vented onto the Spore and rendered it little more than a mass of beaten Septentrione before them...Hatsu's amazement at her strength turning away from her only as Ronaldo set a hand at his shoulder, trying to comfort them a bit in the wake of their troubles that were evident at a glance, "Thank you...both of you. This only reaffirms my decision to ask you both to fight at my side to take down JPs and create a new world together. I believe that if you help me, then we will have the power to finally stop Yamato Hotsuin's plans, once and for all!"
Again, Hatsu felt that strange niggling sense that something wasn't completely right...but he believed in Ronaldo...he believed in creating a world where people worked together. Where people could be equal...be safe...not cast aside...and so he nodded faintly, thinking that perhaps they had chosen right. How many people had they saved now? Was it really so many? Hatsu only knew he was trying to help, but Ronaldo had been counting lives...trying to protect them here, elsewhere...could Hatsu be that strong?
"Aa...it's nothing..." he demurred, not knowing what else to say, "I want to help, Ronaldo. I want to save these people...to stop this..."
"Good, thank you again...when the time comes, I will find you," Ronaldo promised, smiling with a renewed strength himself at Hatsu's certainty, "For now, just stay safe...both of you. We can't fight JPs if we don't take care of one another, right? ...Until later, then." Seika Murakami The third spore dropped on them not long after Ronaldo had left.. and Seika cursed under her breath. These things were falling way too close one to another... they needed to get the people out of here now!

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you.""Aa...!" he nodded across the way to Seika as they began to gather the people near the falling buds and usher them indoors where they might be safer from the Spores than they were outside. Not all would fit in the small shelters in the park or below the pavilions, but the closer they were the safer they might be...it was the least they could do...or at least that's what he thought until a devil leaped out of a bush and took a swipe at a woman, knocking her viciously away where she landed and struggled up, alive but not well...and started again towards the building but with blood trailing down her forehead. Now was the time for Hatsu to really protect the people in need.
"Not now!" his fist lashed into the demons' underbelly as Lugh struck from above, scattering it into magnetite, "Most of the people are in on this side...Seika?" he called out as he crossed back to her side of the walk, grateful to see that the people were following orders...albeit a bit panicked. Maybe they could keep them safe a bit longer...until someone killed Alioth? Seika Murakami People were moving away from the spores in order. That was good at least. That was...until a group of panicked men started pushing and cutting through the line...even going as far as hurting others just to save themselves. The redhead pursed her lips and broke the fight... along with the 'leader's' face. At least that would teach them not to fight others here. Perhaps Hatsu was more pacific about this, but... ...No sooner had Hatsu and Seika gotten as many people to safety as they could, it was their safety put in Jeopardy when another of the Spores of Alioth fell within their range with the certainty of exploding into toxic spores any second. Hatsu felt the imminent danger, but this time rather than rushing straight to Seika's side something inside of him called out...from inside of the App it was almost as though he could hear the voice of someone...it was Po!
...And though he couldn't quite understand it, it was as though it were asking him, no...telling him, that it was all right. To fuse him...to save them both with the power he could have in a fusion. And again the sense of loss filled him...but he knew that his friend would only grow the stronger for it. And he did...
"...I owe you...Po..." he nodded as he summoned the newest demon in his arsenal, the deadly Koumoukuten! Standing before them he moved Seika and Hatsu back as he launched an attack that stalled the Spore long enough for the three of them to run together...its solemn, mustached face curling faintly into the tiniest of smiles as he looked down at his summoner...and recognition remained in those eyes! "Po-moukuten? ...Thanks..."
And so the large Kishin extended his fist...and it was bumped without hesitation from his summoner, his friend. His bro.
"Seika, Po...let's go..."

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."Things had calmed since the last of the Alioth Spores had fallen; though he was still intent on trying to take the fight to the demons and the Septentriones themselves to keep them away from the shelter he wasn't sure how to fight something that high in the air. None of his dancing attempts had summoned Shiva of yet; the other thing he hadn't had the chance to try at all thus far. Where could they go, what could they do, in order to cut a path towards the enemy staring at them coldly from above?
He had two loyal allies at his side, Ronaldo and Seika, and two powerful and loyal demons that would stand up beside him when the time came to fight. All they had to do was put themselves on the battlefield...and the rest, he hoped, would sort itself out. Seika Murakami Yesterday had been a rough day. Those spores had made it so very difficult to protect the people of the shelter...and they had been in grave danger more than once. Alioth had been defeated though, and that at least gave them a few hours of rest before the new Septentrione appeared. And it had appeared earlier that morning... Just as dangerous and deadly as the others. Not invincible, though. And they would destroy it as well.
For now, the redhead took a look at the perimeters of the shelter...looking for weakened defenses and demons trying to get in. On the south gate, she found a group of them wandering too close to the shelter, and with a skilled flip of her phone, she summoned Kobold.

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."Early morning...he had awakened in the center of the shelter to find that Seika was already out and about, not there in the area beside him. There was a moment of fear, followed by the understanding that she could take care of herself. Still, he worried...these weren't normal circumstances under which she or he could fight against any enemy and emerge victorious on their own. They needed to stand together...but the Catch-22 of it all was that they could cover more ground and protect people better if they split up from time-to-time.
And he couldn't begrudge her some alone time...not after their conversations last night and Ronaldo's announcement of his intention to oppose Yamato and JPs plan to create a merit system. It was a lot to take in...but Hatsu knew what he was going to do. He knew what he believed in. He just hoped that if he walked that road...Seika would come with him... Seika Murakami Ashen eyes skimmed through the list on the phone, a hum escaping her lips as she decided on getting stronger companion demons. Just as she clicked the 'buy' button, another group of demons, this time Moh Suvuus harassing and attacking a young man who had wandered too far into the shelter's borders.
This was a good time to try her new demons, the redhead summoning the huge warrior bear. Its gaze locked with hers, and as she nodded, the demon moved forward, swinging its mace to end the avian demons. "This place isn't safe... go back." Seika instructed and the man nodded in thanks before making his way back to a more populated place of the shelter.
