It felt interesting to have a matching pair like these two, but apparently Yang was none too pleased by this turn of events, and before anyone could really argue with the Zorua, he had run off, forcing Isis and Zero to chase him down. Yin's snooty comments hadn't exactly helped the situation either, but neither of the trainers had much time to reprimand her at the moment. Isis quickly caught up to the little fox, cornering him into a small alleyway, but when she tried to pick him up, the image flickered and vanished, having been one of Yang's illusions. "Yang!!!" Isis panicked now that her only lead as to where the Zorua could have gone had vanished, but quiet whimpers and sobbing allowed Isis to quickly locate the real zorua. Frowning, Isis moved over to the monochromatic fluffball and knelt down next to him. "Yang.... I'm so sorry. I didn't realize you felt this way.... I don't hate you. I mean yes, you cause a lot of trouble, and that's a pain, but it doesn't mean I'm going to hate you or get rid of you...." Isis frowned. "No... I'm sorry. Honestly, the reason I caused so much trouble at first was because I was kind of mad Zero traded me away, then it was just kind of fun embarrassing you." He chuckled sadly, allowing Isis to pick him up. "Yeah... I get that a lot." Isis chuckled, stroking his fur soothingly. The little zorua buried his head into Isis' arms, and the blonde watched as Zero caught up to the two of them. "I think we've got things settled, though if you want to say your peace...." As the two trainers chased Yang through the streets, the light-colored Zorua attempted to throw them off with a handful of illusions, Nova keeping track of Isis and the real Yang, but Zero simply dashed ahead too quickly for her to correct him in time. Eventually however, they were able to finally catch up with them, arriving where the blonde held the small fox in her arms. He let out a relieved sigh as he finally approached, Yin at his feet watching with mild amusement. "No, it's fine." He replied. "We should probably start heading out again. Though, I guess I am still curious Yang," He looked to the monochrome Zorua, still burying his face in the girl's arm. "Why did you just come up to join me like that? It's not like I'd done anything up to that point in Petalburg, we were still waiting for Norman to arrive so I could fight him."

"Why do you care...?" The zorua asked flatly, his visage flickering in an almost glitch like fashion along with the fluctuating tones he used. The odd display caught Isis off guard, fighting her instinct to drop the zorua and back away. "It's not like my answer would change anything." He finished. Whatever had happened before, Yang seemed to have regained control over it, and soon afterwards disappeared into his pokeball again. "Yang....." Isis frowned, not really happy with how curt he was being to Zero, but she supposed he was still a bit bitter about being replaced. With a sigh, Isis stood. "Maybe just..... Give him some time and ask again later when he's in a better mood...." Isis suggested, calling Nocturne down and prepping her for another trip before taking off again. ✿ ❀

Zero grimaced as the Zorua blew off the question, asking why he cared. The sudden amalgamation of voices that Yang used for once was a bit distressing, but regardless he opened his mouth to speak. Unfortunately, before he could say anything the little fox punctuated the conversation, and returned to the pokeball. With a sigh, the male trainer agreed with his companion, and began to prep himself for yet another flight. "Yeah... I guess we'll just have to take care of it later." He returned his own Zorua, who he'd need to deal with later as well, and then let out Ashen, before the two trainers flew off back to Hoenn.

Touch down! Dova actually managed to land with her feet this time as opposed to her belly or her face. It seemed that she had finally gotten how she was supposed to be coming to a stop. With a grin this time, Lafayette hopped off her back and fished about in his bag, chucking her for the first time since the start of the journey a treat for her to n** on. The Noivern took it excitedly, immediately setting to work chomping it down much to the horror of Noah. She ate like she’d never get another bite in her life. Which was odd seeing as how just a few hours before they’d eaten.
Noah shook his head in disgust, just turning and giving chase after Lafayette as the man began his search for the spot for the final readings.

Opelucid was kind of a weird city; it also seemed big on dragons but it also had this dual existence kind of feel going with it. Lafayette couldn’t tell if it was his eyes or not but things seemed to shift in and out of a modern state to a natural one. Maybe it was just the lighting? It had to be the lighting. Or maybe he needed some glasses, there was always a chance his eyesight was just getting terrible. Which was a shame because he’d hate to hide the mix-matching eyes of his behind glasses. Plus he’d probably never keep them clean; those kind of things just smudged up easily when it came to the work he did. Maybe he could get like really cool goggle style glasses if it came down to it. That would be pretty neat.

His thoughts were drawn away from what kind of cool styled glasses he’d get if he ended up going blind and needing them as Noah tugged on his pant leg, gesturing to the blinking and beeping of his Xtransceiver. The noise was so soft he’d almost missed it, which would’ve been bad as the minute he moved away from the area it would’ve faded.
"Oh… ta Noah." The blonde remarked, returning his focus to the task at hand. He was almost done, it was too soon to be losing track of why he was originally here. Just like the times before, he found his way to the designated area and the program went to work, beginning to scan and document the cratered area. Lafayette did wonder what was with all the craters; but then again meteor showers weren’t entirely uncommon right? That’s what he was guessing had made all these holes. That or pokemon; though the idea of a certain type of pokemon making all these dents in the earth in various different locations across different regions seemed a bit far-fetched.
Soon the final beeps sounded and a wide grin spread across his face. FINALLY! He was done! This little escapade was over! He almost wanted to cheer but resisted, instead taking the time to search through his contact history and give Juliean a call. Best to check in just to make sure…

”Well done my dear Lala! Well done indeed!” A voice suddenly announced, catching him off guard. It really shouldn’t have been surprising, but Juliean’s ability to appear out just thin air did surprise him from time to time. If only because when and where he decided to show himself was always an uncertainty.
Of course, maybe it was the fact that he sounded so… jubilant at this moment. It was even more disconcerting to see the wide grin on the man’s face. Had it not been several hours ago that he was chastising Lafayette for goofing off? And yet here he was, all shits and giggles for whatever reason. The blonde had a bit of a sinking feeling in his stomach. Was he not done?

"Realleh mate?" The man just smirked, head tilting a bit before he strolled forward grabbing a hand under Lafayette’s chin and giving his head a little shake like one might do to a puppy. ”Well no, I suppose that’s a bit much, hm?’ Lafayette rolled his eyes. Yeah. Flair for the dramatics. "Then I’m free ta go?"
”Of course! You did everything I asked of you.” Juliean remarked, releasing his grip and flinging his hand through the air. ”You got the three badges like I asked as well as all the readings that I needed. All in excellent time might I add.” A sly grin returned to his face as he took a step back, arms flaring out before him. ”You are free to return to your precious fair. You’ve rightfully earned it.” Noah gripped tightly at his trainer’s pant leg as Juliean spoke. He’d never liked the man and was expecting some kind of exception to suddenly pop up. It didn’t though, earning a bit of a relaxed grin from Lafayette.
"Well that’s rippin’ mate!" Lafayette was nearly cheering. ”Mmm yes, very ripping.” Juliean murmured, frowning a moment as he seemed to notice something. ”Where the hell did your shirt go?” Lafayette blinked and looked down at the tank he was wearing. "Oh," he shrugged, thrusting a thumb in Dova’s direction. "The dill dove us in the watah’." He remarked, the Noivern perking up as she was called out. Juliean just raised an eyebrow, expression ambiguous. ”Oh really? You know skinny dipping is far more satisfying.” Lafayette just rolled his eyes again. Of course.
Juliean just smirked, stepping back and waving the blonde off. ”But yes, you’re free for now. I’ll let you know if I need you, trust me.” He replied, starting to walk away only to pause. ”By the waaayyy~” Lafayette tensed a moment, gaze narrowing as Juliean spun around to face him once more. ”I heard your old crew was paying the fair a visit. Please, do send my regards to them.” Juliean jeered, eliciting a confused expression from the blonde. Old crew? What was he talking about? Before Lafayette could open his mouth to inquire for specifics, Juliean had given him a wink and disappeared from sight. Well… so much for that then. Still mulling over this information, he ushered Noah over to Dova and climbed back up onto her back. It took him a moment to figure out which direction to head –he might’ve know train routes to Anville but flying was a different matter- before he kicked Dova into motion and took off for Castelia City. He’d just take the train from there and head back on to his home town and hopefully the fair.

Now alone with her thoughts, and Tropius, Alexandra turned her attention to the large Pokemon curiously. “All this flying must tire you out,” she spoke up before extending her hand out. Tropius, understanding, dropped its head down to nuzzle the palm of her hand, murmuring quietly to itself in the Pokemon language. Tropius, by nature, were docile creatures, though it was reassuring to know that this one held the same temperament. “Hold on a moment, I’ll get you something to replenish your energy.” Though she knew her main objective was to keep an eye out for any person that might prove a nuisance to Aja, she saw nothing wrong with looking out for Tropius, their main mode of transportation.

Tropius gave a murmur of appreciation before bending down to start with the fruit, taking an entire apple into its mouth before chewing and swallowing it whole. It continued to eat like this until Alexandra’s hands were empty, leading it to start on the pokefood left for it. “You were certainly hungry,” she mused, lightly dusting her hands off lightly as she watched Tropius devour its food.
