Finding Sidra the victor of the bout, Ace collected his wooly companion with a grin. Watching Viola walk over, offering over the spoils of her gym, Ace took them with a grin. "But of course, Only the finest treatment for my jewels." With that said, he quickly parted, heading to the Pokemon Center once more before he left for the next city. He was stopped nearly instantly as he entered the Pokemon Center. Nurse Joy had noticed him before even walking through the slidding doors and handed him note. "It's from a boy named Maiku, he left this where for you." Joy stated. Taking the note, he thanked Joy with a deep bow, watching as she walked away, once more tending to her duties as a healer.
Once he straightened up, he read the note on a nearby couch. "A festival?" How interesting. Glancing towards Derosa.. who looked as though she was finally starting to perk up again, Ace held up the letter. "Would you care to peruse this Taun-a-baht-a Festival?" Derosa nodded almost instantly. "It certainly sounds like something from a foreign land, perhaps we could scope out further territory?" Once her standing up, he found Nurse Joy behind her counter. "Excuse moi' " Ace asked, failing somewhat at the attempt of a french accent. Joy turned with a smile, ignoring his obvious blunder. "Er, Well, I was wondering, how one reached this Taun-a-baht-a Festival?" Joy replied with a shocked expression, a happy sort of shock. "Oh, you can catch a train from North Lumiose, or head back to Vaniville town to catch a train from there as well." Traveling through a forest? No thank you. "I think I choose the city route." Parting with a smile, Ace quickly made his path towards South Lumiose, which he'd heard was a very short distance away.

It wasn't long before Ace had managed to finally rid himself of Santalune City. Such a small quaint town really. It wasn't honestly worth his or Team Royale's time. Perhaps it was more so because of the Bug-type gym than anything else, but if he never stepped foot in that city again it would be all to blissful. Whatever the case, next up was a city so large, it was split into two sections. South Lumiose and North Lumiose. At it's center a large tower which produced Electricity for the entire city. Apparently they had some electric-type genius as the gym leader. What little research Team Royale could do on Kalos was strictly placed on Lumiose City itself. So without a doubt, Ace knew he stood no chance at besting the gym leader here until he was far stronger. Preferably with a Ground-type.... something he wasn't looking forward too.
Whatever the case, he'd finally reached the city gates as the sun sank below the horizon. "Hopefully we can catch a train this late." Ace mentioned, glancing over to Derosa, who nodded calmly. Ace's eyes narrowed in curiousity. Now she was acting dazed... what was going on with Derosa as of late? It was somewhat worrisome, but nonetheless he pressed on... perhaps some time spent relaxing in her poke ball would be better?

After getting the all clear, Cheria thought on how she should battle. If she had a Fire-type, she'd be able to use that mostly. Er....Most likely. Right? Shaking her head, she returned Sheena and headed for the gym. It didn't seem anyone was fighting Viola right now. Phew! Making her way through the gym, wondering how the heck Viola made the web-like flooring, Cheria gave a relieved sigh when she reached Viola's platform. Lupup looked disappointed, like he had enjoyed the balancing act. Well, whatever made him happy. Standing up straight, Cheria looked around while Lupup sat next to her. "Viola! I'm here to challenge you for your gym's badge!"

Viola stepped out, having just readied her camera for another batch of photos. "Welcome!" she greeted, a stage already forming around them to prepare for the battle. She spotted the Lupup beside her, perking up instantly. "What a fascinating pokemon!" she exclaimed, immediately taking a picture of it, "What's it called?" Clearly excited, she managed to pull herself back, stepping to take her spot on the field. "Sorry about that, I just love photographing pokemon! You said you were here for a gym badge, right? I'll be starting with Surskit!" she refocused, tossing the pokeball out to release her pokemon, and lifting her camera back up to prepare for more photos.

Cheria gave a smile when she was welcomed, and then was stunned for a moment at the camera's flash. Lupup...did not appreciate the photo and growled before jumping into Cheria's bag to avoid more pictures. "He's a Lupup. I guess if you don't know what he is, then they really must be rare. Yes, I'm here for your badge." She...already said that. Way to go, Cheria. Making a fool of yourself in front of a gym leader. Not the best of plans. Viola sent out her Surskit, and Cheria smiled a bit. She could use Sheena. Her resistance to Water-type moves would be helpful. "Sheena! Let's start this off with Quick Attack!" Tossing the ball, Sheena appeared from it and rushed at Surskit before it could attack. It was a great start. But, she could only do so much before Viola came up with a strategy. Well, Cheria would just need to try and do better.
Viola smiled. "Cute!" she chimed regarding Lupup, then grinning and getting ready. She nodded as Cheria got ready and sent out her pokemon, straightening, and snapping several pictures, before lowering her camera. "Counter with a Quick Attack of your own, Surskit!" she called. Water attacks wouldn't work against this pokemon, so it was time to just return with brute force! Even if that wasn't likely to knock the opponent out, it was really her only option.

Cheria figures Viola would use Quick Attack. It was Surskit's only effective move. Sheena took it without much recoil, though she figured Sheena was going to feel that later. I can only assume Quick Attack is going to be Surskit's go to for this battle. But, Cheria didn't want to rely on Quick Attack to take down Surskit. "Sheena, use Lick! Vivillon. She knew exactly who to use. "Alright. Get some rest, Sheena." Putting Sheena's ball up, she grabbed the next. Alright....She could do this. Viola only had two Pokémon, right? "Driselle, use Icy Wind!" The young Seel appeared from her ball and struck the pretty butterfly with Icy Wind. It didn't frost its wings, though. Did Vivillon have Shield Dust? Well, Driselle was faster naturally, so it wasn't too big a deal.

Cheria actually felt bad for Vivillon. It stood no chance against Driselle's Icy Wind, and Tackle didn't do much damage to the Seel. Deciding to not overdo things, Cheria looked at Driselle. "Let's not have an overkill. Use Headbutt." Headbutt was still a bit of an overkill, but not as much as Icy Wind would have been. Seel charged at Vivillon and used her tail to jump up, ramming into the butterfly head on. Literally. Cheria was relieved Vivillon wasn't an armored Pokémon. Ow. "Seeeel~!"

Snapping a photo at the final blow, Viola quickly straightened, dexterously drawing her pokeball out to withdraw the K.O.ed Vivillion. "Good job, Vivillion, you did your best," she congratulated, tucking the ball away. She lowered her camera, turning to take a badge and items from her assistant. "That was one of the quicker battles I've had," she remarked, approaching Cheria with a smile, "Congratulations! You've clearly been training your pokemon well." She held out her hands, offering the prizes to the young girl. "You've earned these."
