You are distracted while walking or riding by a sharp, musky odor unlike the crisp scent of the leaves underfoot. After a moment you identify a suspect-looking stain darkening the roots of a nearby tree. You bend down to sniff it... yes, that's definitely fox urine. Excellent find!
You win three points this turn.

Eloise quickly lost sight of the fox that led her around in circles. Stopping to catch her breath she couldn't but grow frustrated at tricky creature after all she just wanted to make sure he stayed safe from harm. Doubled over and panting hard she noticed a small footprint on a leaf .
"Well if I can't help that fox maybe I can help a bunny"

Quote: The earth is damp and in some places unstable. When you are forced by the dense, thorny undergrowth to step near a creek-bed, the ground gives out beneath you and you're dashed painfully against the rocks. It takes you some time to pull yourself upright and sort out your wet and muddy clothing. A salamander watches you the whole time. Elizabeth had the wind knocked out of her for a bit as she hit the rocks. Getting up slowly and carefully, she looked at her hands, having a cut on her finger. She then noticed that she had dropped her shoes, which caused her more disappointment. Looking down at her wet muddy clothes, she decided it would be best to simply try and get some of the mud off, not worrying about the wet. She would dry soon enough. She took a deep breath as she stood on the bank of the stream. Getting herself ready and prepared to continue on her journey of finding the beautiful fox. Elizabeth knew that she had to get out of these woods somehow. And the fox just may be able to get her out of the woods. She still had no idea how she had gotten there though. Or how she was going to deal with whatever was waiting for her back at her home... Elizabeth only knew she had to make it out...

Jack was beginning to think that he was being given the run-around. First, rabbit tracks. Then, fresh fox urine. Then, the misplaced blood. He was lighthearted enough not to take it too personally, but he was also stubborn enough to take it for the challenge it was. He may have encountered a setback, but he wasn't about to give up. Not that easily.
He got his bearings and chose his direction.

((I hope it's alright to join late.)) A young auburn-haired, fair-skinned woman peered into the forest. Her emerald eyes nervously searched the shadows. She had come into the forest following animal tracks out of pure curiosity and now she couldn't find a trace. Azael furrowed her eyebrows as she tried to think of what to do now. She was utterly lost.

Frances followed the sound of the third branch readily. Perhaps she should have shown more caution, or at least make some effort to conceal herself as she continued on, but... in the end, it was only tales and superstitions she'd heard of the wood, wasn't it? This was not the first time she'd entered its borders, yet she never faced any real danger.

Wardwood Mule A subtle irregularity on the ground catches your eye. You take a closer look: there's a muddy rabbit print embossed on one half of a fallen leaf. It may not be exactly what you're looking for, but it could lead to bigger and better things.
You win one point this turn.
Total points: 3 Kristine looked at her rabbit and made a little tsk-tsk-tsk noise while waggling her finger. "It looks like one of your friends got a tad dirty." The rabbit seemed almost to shrug. They followed the prints going still deeper into the forest. She knew it was just a rabbit with her, and that he couldn't save her if she got into trouble, but Kristine felt better having him around. "Keep your ears open, buddy, and if something bad is coming, waggle your tail to warn me."

You hear a hoarse panting noise above you. An injured hawk rests on a branch, visibly bleeding. It looks as if it's been abandoned by the hunter who owns it, though it seems alert and could probably be rehabilitated given some time and care. But coaxing it down might take a while… 1. 4. Amorpheous 5. Amorpheous 6. Amorpheous

You happen upon a clearing. At the very center lies a fairy circle of mushrooms, unusually large, and within it several rabbits, which are all staring at you. Their gaze is unsettling. They seem to know something. 1. Amorpheous 2. Chrystali 3. Umbrology 4. Amorpheous 5. Chrystali All five rabbits are companion pets, not familiars! You may choose to either take the remaining rabbit or walk away with two points. Please quote me with your decision! You turn a corner to find a man standing with his back to you on the path you're walking or riding. He's wearing an expensive-looking dark blue jacket, his hair is auburn and a touch curly, and when he turns around there's a single spot of blood on his spotless but slightly rumpled cravat. His eyes are an unnatural shade of purple. If you have ever met him before you will recognize him as the spirit named Llyr.
"Good evening," he says to you politely, and then points toward a copse of yellow ashes in the distance. "You may find that direction somewhat more fruitful."
When you look back, he is gone.
You win two points this turn.

The footing is poor here, and you trip over a root hidden beneath several years' worth of fallen leaves. You manage to catch yourself against a tree before you fall, but the rough bark leaves painful, stinging abrasions across your palm. This may put you at a slight disadvantage.
You lose one point this turn.

The trees in this area of the wood are ancient and dense enough to block out most of the light. The floor is carpeted in a rich coating of moss and fallen leaves, all a deep shade of scarlet. Eventually you become aware of a low whispering sound coming from above you. You look up.
There is something pale and strange in the dark webwork of branches, something moving… you receive the impression of long, crooked fingers like broken twigs, bright eyes that seethe with malice; it is whispering at you…
When you come back to yourself no time seems to have passed at all, but the look of the sky and the numbness of your legs suggest that you have been standing in the same spot, motionless, for several minutes. Something distracted you, but you can't remember what it was.
You do not win or lose any points this turn.
