Bliss, pure and simple. Nothing hurt in the land he'd found. Nothing worried him, everything.... it was happiness. He took his time opening his eyes to see the door, staring at it. No, he... wouldn't going only hurt? Wouldn't it mean returning to a world where people died, things died... he was left behind again? He... what if he didn't want that?

He really didn't.

But there were still smiles out there, warm, kind. He missed them too. Memories of them, they were wonderful, filling him with hope for a good future. For something to look forward to. And yet... everything hurt. Pulling him down as he thought about it. His head, his arms... everything ached. He merely wanted to sob and give up, to forget it all. If only... if only a little bit. Then perhaps it would be enough. He'd done so much that he shouldn't have, all at the beck and call of a goddess. To save the world? Certainly... but at what cost. He recalled it, her voice as she called for it back, wishing it returned. He shook his head, shutting it out. He didn't want to remember.

That much. At least that much he could let go. He reached up, slowly, but surely, his arms straining as he did. And then simply, without so much care as he should have had, he pulled it free, his own head. It was needless, painful. The memories of pulling her heart free along with it. That Jessie he had created by his false choices could stay, could die within the realm it was born.

No one ever needed to know of it. And with that, he slowly moved on, lighter as he made his way to the door, pain seeming to edge away as he did. Perhaps... the world could be bearable. There was still so much to love about it.

He stood at the door and felt heavy.

It was a weight that laid on his shoulders, pressed down into him like a blackness. He supposed he should have known this would happen eventually, that everything would come to naught, but at the same time he had spent most of his life being one thing when he perhaps would have been better suited to be another.

He didn't know how to be anything else.

Maybe that was why he had had such a difficult time adjusting. He'd always thought that if he just did what he was told, if he just pushed forward and became who he had always thought he could be, that things would work out the way they were supposed to.

That, of course, was a lie.

He was not a bad person, not really. He knew, somewhere, that he'd done well with what was given to him. But he wished he could have done something more, that he he could have done something great with his life.

The greatness had slipped away from him, dissipating into nothingness.

His attempts, though well-meaning, had slipped through his fingers and fallen away without so much as a backward glance. He wished he had more to offer, more to give, but there was no path for him that was easy, no path for him that would allow him to offer what he wanted to.

Easy and right were two entirely different things.

Sparrow lifted a hand, reached for the door, and left his body entirely behind.

He was a door. This was interesting, Taiki supposed. At the very least it was peaceful and calming. He rather liked the situation, actually. Taiki could rest for a little while. “Do you want to return?” Pause. “Do you want to return?” Again that question—no, he was asking himself this inquiry. Did he want to go back? Taiki considered his decisions. There wasn’t much left for him here, so he supposed he may as well.

To leave behind pain was tempting, but he didn’t think about the proposition for long. He was smarter than that. It was the failures and agony that shaped him so tediously and minutely. Without it, he wouldn’t be himself. He would leave nothing behind. The skeleton stood tall as he walked through the door.

His legs had once been so useful, they gave him pride but now they held him back, like weights.

Frost left them behind.

He'd run.

What use did a ghost have for legs anyway?

Absolute bliss. Absolute and perfect bliss. It was indescribable, everything and nothing in the world.

There was the door. A door of pain and hurt, constant struggle, rawness and fear.

But also love.

He could leave everything behind, all the pain and all the things that troubled him, be free and oblivious of it all, a faceless spirit on the face of a world saved by his sacrifices.

But, deep down he knew that sort of s**t would be quitting. And he didn't quit. He never quit. He was a force, unstoppable and driven, when he got kicked down he kicked back. Living was defined by pain and the mistakes you made, to surrender those things was to die.

And he intended to live forever or die trying. To reign for a thousand years.

the voice slithered into his head where it had always belonged, a void he hadn't noticed until it was filled which then became absolute. There was a hesitation as the fallen angel seemed to assess his surroundings.

Well a familiar voice in his head wasn't the weirdest ******** thing that had happened to him that day, caught between worlds as he was. He intended to wake up, to go home.

And he was taking every scrap of him, from his head to his toes and all the treasures in between. Royalty didn't pay a tithe.

He left nothing.

It was peaceful, and all that remained was a door, but Alecto didn’t like the door. She couldn’t put her claw on it, but she was scared of it. “Do you wish to return?” What? But it was so calming here. Perfection. “Do you wish to return?” Nonono. That wasn’t right. She wasn’t afraid of the door. She was the door, and the door was asking if she wanted to return.

Yes, she would return, and she would leave nothing behind. There wasn’t much pain for her to give up in the first place. Her tail swayed and her claws clacked together as she pushed through the door.

She would return. Alaska still had things she wanted to do, needed to do. She still had to take care of her little sister and she still had to learn what being a hunter was about. She had to learn why she had left behind her previous life for a new one filled with pain and the supernatural. There was too much work to do.

But she would leave nothing behind. They were her baggage and no one else’s. Perfection was impossible; she would take her flaws with her.

Jake wanted to believe he was strong, that after everything, forgetting everything and re-living each memory again just to fulfill that purpose, he had grown, and could endure anything. But re-living that memory, the very one he ached to forget, the very one he dared not forget for fear of repeating the same mistake, it brought with it immense pain. The pain of losing a loved one, something he would never wish upon another, nor ever want to live through again. He knew it too well, perhaps more than one should. She was more than just a loved one. To him, she was a friend, a companion, and he supposed a mother figure. She was the world to him, and he had to re-live it, re-live the moment she was taken away, that one shining ray of hope, gone forever, and he was completely helpless, unable to do a thing as he only watched her life vanish before his eyes. But no, not just that. She lost her life... for him. BECAUSE of him.

The very thought tore at him, made him want to cry out in agony. Nothing could fill that void, nothing but-
A sharp gasp as he remembered now, that there WAS someone else. Someone who could make the hurt go away, someone who could let him find happiness, and put the past behind him. Someone... who may end up suffering the same fate as her. He wanted to remember, he really did, but memory only led to hurt. Loss. He didn't want anymore pain, and he didn't want to cause anymore. In the end... she really would be better off without him.

With a hand over his heart, he closed his eyes, the familiar feeling as he dug into his chest, prying it out.
Sherry, I'm sorry. I really am. I lo-
Leaving his heart behind, he stepped through the door.

Nevada curled her arms around her protectively, with so much already taken away, she wondered if it was possible to lose more. If she could give up more.

There was a hint of a unforgivable deed, of someone she had once hurt. And that hurt guilted her. It haunted her. A exploding pain far more greater than her body ever felt and she just wanted to get rid of it. Ripping her legs wasn't easy, it was unbearable.

Memories surged as one leg came off.

"You cheated on me!"

The voice screamed.

"What about a second chance?"

It wasn't possible.

Nevada closed her eyes. She didn't want those memories. She didn't want the pain and guilt for what she did to that person to haunt her anymore. She wanted to move on. She wanted to feel free again. She didn't want it to be a ball and chain weighing her down. The other leg came off, leaving her torso. Slowly pulling herself to the door.

She left behind her sin. And with it, she left behind the feelings for it all. Everything back to it. And the person it was tied too.

/Are you sure about that pidge?/ Leroy whispered, a calming and soothing presence to return to her mind.

"I can't be free unless its gone..." She kept pulling herself to the door. "I'll be free from it."

And from the person she looked at everyday and remembered how she had hurt them.

There was always a price to pay for freedom, whichever kind you seeked.

Solia didn't know what to do. It hurt but- she needed it, wanted to keep it but-
Painful. It was just painful. The pain was heavy, constant- she felt worse as he hand dug inside of her, pulling at it, casting it out.

Yet gone, without her heart, Solia smiled. Maybe it was better this way.

She stared at the door. Yes, she wanted to return, but did she want to leave behind pain? The prickling sensation was so familiar, it was almost as if Jaida had adapted to it, grown accustomed to the feeling of throwing her emotions around. But sometimes she would remember. She would look down at her covered hands and the imaginary weight of a thousand memories and regrets tumbled down. The weight, however, she could carry if she had to. She had carried it for so long, and she could carry it for many more. At least, that was what Jaida told herself.

Lies could not hide the pain in her heart. She winced when she felt a sharp tug in her chest. A hand reached for her heart, and at last she realized that her heart was too heavy for her to bear any long. Everyone she had met and loved—they were so many. She had loved so many that her heart was ready to give out. And in her head a few choice faces came to mind. The few that would remain etched into her core forever if she kept her heart. The few that only dragged her down as she strived for power and strength. She knew then that everyone she knew and cared for would be forgotten, at least for now.

I will come back for you, she assured herself as her hand tore out her heart. When I’m stronger, I’ll come back.

With a solemn face, Jaida left behind her heart.

Simply stood, staring at the pale white world she'd been left it. Perhaps the peace and happiness was good. Maybe she should have cherished what she'd been given, bounced about with joy. Instead it felt quiet, so calm it was... boring. She didn't like it. She wanted to do something, anything, but her entire body ached. It hurt, everything did. But she couldn't stand there and do nothing. This place wasn't for her, she had never meant to remain here.

So with a breath that left her lungs ragged, she moved, inched along as her entire body felt as if she was tearing at it, ripping it apart by the simple will she had to move on and leave nothing to the endless sea of peace. She wasn't meant for this, nor were her memories. This wasn't part of a promise, and it wasn't how she was going to explain why she didn't know. Weakness was no excuse for why she forgot something important. Something like a smile, or a name... even if they were hard to remember...

Even if she got lonely. Even if this was torture, she was going to keep what she had. That she'd seen that hunter again, that she'd seen her friends again, that she'd made new ones. All of it was her's. She was going to keep it and treasure it. Because... if she didn't she'd be all alone. Like she was here.

And that was more frightening than any amount of pain. So with that, she brushed the door open, pulling herself through as she left nothing behind.

She was at peace. Pokerus liked it here, her mind at body at ease after such a ordeal. A much needed rest after the hell she had been through.

But even so, there had been good in this hell. She lad learned things, recalled things. And even if it was painful, almost too painful to bear, Poke didn't care.

These memories defined her. They were experiences that made her stronger, wiser, more prepared for what could happen in the future.

She left nothing behind, bearing the brunt of the pain but standing proud nevertheless. She welcomed this pain, because it made it who she was.

He offered his memories, trivial but rather meaning to him.

A door. Again?

He felt light as feather, his heart was so peaceful. Is that what an ending should be? He didn't expect an end like that, he preferred to fight a great battle and died in glory and identification.

"Do you wish to return?"

He heard him asking himself, "the gift of leaving our pain behind", it sounds enticing. He wished he could forget about his envy, the dark matter within his corrupted soul. All those he had been suppressing not to reveal onto the surface.

.

..

...

..Nope.

He can't.

That's still a part of him.

Each step to the door became sharp pain. He felt like thousands of spears impaled onto his back one by one as he moved. His memories were burdens. So heavy that locked him onto the ground, like enormous rocks piling up onto his body. But when he recalled them, he felt the joy. His friends, his successful battles, the prefect exam that made Miss. Selene cried for, the snowman he build with the reaper, the wonderful prom experience with the sweet little witch, the grumpy cool boil he liked to pester, the spookies that acquired Xiu's applaud...and- and those sad feelings that made him stronger. He won't be him anymore without them, he was taking them with him, nothing should be left behind.

He is AJ.

He can't be anyone else.

He climbed up, bearing the numerous invisible load and pushed his body against the door.

He was smiling.

Sur-prise~ My love one, I am back!

Jason sighed blissfully, his eyes closed as he floated in this peaceful place. Could he stay here? Could he stay here forever? It was warm here. He was safe from everything.

He could see the door near him. No, the door was him. And it said to him that they could return.

Again the hunter sighed, weary resignation overcame him. Though he knew there were many fears in his life, and these fears made him weaker...It wouldn't matter if he forgot those terrible memories. He would have to face them again. At least having seen them before, he had some idea of how to deal with it.

He Left nothing behind, crying out as the pain hit him, but still he kept walking.
