"Well then be safe my friends. I won't keep you from your business. You know I am always here when you need me." While normally Kal would try to press and gain more information on the current affairs of Heaven he could tell that now was not the time. He knew of the rebellions already stirring within the city. He wouldn't need to tell them that Arc was right. Once they set foot outside the bar the unrest would be evident. Small squabbles would line most streets. Those that remained loyal to Kikyo fighting against those that preferred the rule of Oni. Hell was on a downward spiral and war was just around the corner, and if Oni didn't return soon, it wouldn't be long before his supporters were defeated.

Oni would step out of the portal and onto the ground of his home. After his last unfortunate landing this portal was on the ground for them to step out of instead of fall from. Blazing heat could be felt in this area. Rivers of lava spanned out as far as the eyes could see. In the distance sat a ruined castle.
Oni would point towards the castle as he let out a sigh. "That's our first destination. Inferno's Fortress. I felt it only right to inform him of Roy's death first. Might as well see if he will be willing to join us against Morik while we are there." This is what Oni meant about them dying at their first location. Inferno wasn't known for keeping his temper under control. Pissed off is his default setting and seeing his son's dead body is probably going to hit the nuclear button on that temper.
[!] ~”The winds of freedom blows for those can't hope for it”~[!]
Kira would exit the portal and see everything upside down and question where he was for a moment. "Hm?" He'd blink for a moment as he realized it was not the location that was upside down but it was him. "Crap!" Falling head first onto the rock he would then fall on his back as his hands went to hold his head which cracked the stone under where he landed. "Dammit! i hate portals! there has to be an easier way of traveling..." Rubbing the top of his noggin' he would see Oni step out without a hitch. "There's time's i hate you ya know that?" Standing up he would pat the dirt off his body as he stared at the fortress ahead of him, and realized how much heat was around him at that time, with the lava and all that between he could only guess where they could be.
" Roy is Inferno's son right...Lemme guess, we are at his house...whelp can't be helped can it, it's only right we do it for Roy..." Kira would walk in front of Oni as he advanced towards the gate of the castle. If Oni noticed anything Kira was unaffected by the heat around him, if anything he was much happier being where he was warm compared to cold, that and slowly his power was increasing as he was absorbing the heat around him. "Should we knock or just walk in?" he look back towards Oni with a confused look on his face.

Oni could only watch as Kira came out of the portal upside down and landed on his head. "Maybe you should start using wind when you go through portals. The ground your supposed to land on would be happier for it." A slight chuckle would escape his lips as he walked forward.
Sweat rolled down the sides of Oni's face as he walked towards Inferno's fortress, but even though he was sweating he didn't actually seemed bothered by the heat. After working for Inferno for so many years he grew accustomed to the high temperatures that came with being around him. While still mildly uncomfortable, he was used to it. "I'll knock."
With that said Oni would kick the doors off their rusted hinges and send them crashing to the ground. "ANYONE HOME?" The King of Hell would bellow here just as he had when looking for Imperius. Surely this is where Inferno had gone when he left Heaven.

Upon arriving back in hell's plane both Kira and Oni would be welcomed by intense temperatures and toxic fumes. The sky above, blood red with a hint of orange, the black clouds above them sparked lightning every so often. The air, thick in general but filled with ash and toxic fumes. The ground beneath there, every step would leave a fresh imprint, nothing but brimestone. The outer fields around the fortress was layered in broken weapons. Some barely recognizable. Rivers of lava flowed in all directions through the area. In the distance was the fortress that at one time was Hell's greatest triumph.
The fortress looked ruin, but just by time but by war as well. There was no wind, no breeze and not a single sound for miles under that what could be heard from the flow of molten rocks clashing into one another. As they neared one of the gates, they could see out lines of a few figures. These were no cave drawings, they were incinerated almost instantly but by what? Dragon's fire? It was odvious there were no dragons in the area. They met their untimely demise at the hands of something even hotter that dragon's fire.
When Oni kicked down the doors, they hit the floor with a loud clash that echoed throughout the entire fortress. No house keepers to keep anything maintained or anything. It had been abandon for hundreds to thousands of years. It was hard to believe that this fortress housed one of Hell's greatest Generals and perhaps even one of their greatest leaders. That massive room before them was lined with huge pillars, thick pillars reaching out a massive 20 feet and towering up into the darkness. Many of them barely stabled, while most of them showed cracks and missing chunks of structure.
If Kira and Oni looked over they'd see a few things still in tact. Such a massive painting. It was hard to see with all of the dust and ash build up but from the most of it that was able to be seen it revealed a family. Inferno on his throne, with Maya at his side holding a small child. It was easy to assume the child was Roy. Not many people knew of Maya, but she was often seen healing the greatest warriors Hell had ever seen. Behind them was a massive black dragon as well. Inferno was seen in some sort of armor, revealing his rank. Kira may not recognize the medals and what not but Oni would be able to tell that this was taken when Inferno was Commander/General of Hell's armies. Inferno's prime time.
Not many people knew Oni as well since he worked under Inferno and Kikyo at the time. Running into either of of them (Inferno or Oni) though back in the glory days was never a good thing. It was hard to tell, but it appeared the Fire Demon was not home. Off in the distance, far in the back of the massive room was a flickering of light coming from throne room.

What lack of discipline. It was no wonder they were a lesser race, the angel thought to himself, watching as demons scurried about, toiling at their Queen's command. It was interesting, to hear of Kikyo's returned. It was not often that higher beings returned from their deaths, but he supposed the blood was strong in this one. He stepped over some broken glass, though out of reflex; afterall, what madness would possess an angel to step on the corrupt ground of Hell? Syrel would not stoop so low.
No, his mind was bound to a magical sensor, that was at moment quite invisible; only the most sensitive of beings would notice the ripple of its presence. It wasn't that the spell was particularly well crafted, though he was meticulous, as he was in all his work. It would register as nothing more than a slight breeze of magical energy, and so it went largely undetected as it passed by droves of demons on its way. He doubted Kikyo would miss it, though.
So, as "he" approached Kikyo, he sloughed off his invisibility, revealing nothing more than a small glowing orb of light. But it expanded, before it was soon recognizable as an angel, though nondescript; its features were blurry, as if one were always observing it from the corner of their eye. It was more than apparent that it was a messenger from Heaven; shrouded in white, with glowing wings splayed out grandly. Appearances were important, of course.
"Lady Kikyo." he addressed her formally. He did not take pleasure in that, but to not do so would offend, and might close her ears to him. "I am a messenger from Heaven's council, and I would speak with you."
Kikyo was able to feel a presence in the room that did not belong to one of her soldiers, or anyone she is closely familiar with. Heaven? Her face did not show it, but she was confused as to why a messenger from Heaven had come down just to see her. She turned around to face him with a grin upon her face. "Well look at you being tough." She placed her hands upon her waist and looked at the being in front of her. Looking back into his eyes her grin went away. "So what does Heaven's council want to do with me? It's been quite a long time since we have been on speaking terms. Did they hear about my death and now sending their regards? Does my dying give me a 'Get outta Hell Free' card? Good graces with Heaven of all places?" Kikyo stared at the messenger as she waited to see what he had to say.

The fabrication was silent for a moment, as the so called Queen spoke. "No, that is not quite it. Rather, it would be best to say that the timing of your return is most... fateful. As I am sure you already know, several members of Cruxis have returned; Inferno and Arc. Our former king is now nothing more than an interloper with them; I fear that perhaps Oni may be as well. We would see Oni completely removed from the throne, something that could only be accomplished by you. Moreover, you and Inferno are acquainted, are you not? He must be imprisoned again, and killed if that fails." He took a moment for his words to be absorbed.
"As loathe as we are to admit it, our efforts to catch them have yet to yield results... With you returned as Queen of Hell, and just as invested in seeing these old ghosts laid to rest, the council agreed that an alliance would be beneficial to both realms. You would agree, no?"

"Yeah...." Lucas nodded in agreement and then smiled to Kal. "Thank you, sir. I'm afraid Arc is right. We should get out of here."
Nodding as he stood, Lucas looked to Arc again and sighed. He felt a tremendous weight start to build on his shoulders, a burden that creeped up on him like a prowling tiger. The brief moment of rest could not be fully enjoyed as the Nephilim refocused on what needed to be done.
"Okay." He'd utter, talking to himself as he left the bar with Arc. Something felt off but he wasn't quite sure what to make of it. He just knew that Arc and himself would have to stay sharp.

Kira's jaw would drop as he watched Oni 'knock' in his own way, and couldn't help but just gawk for a moment or so before getting his composer back, and let's face facts did he expect anything else? "Why am i gettin' surprised? i should know better by now." Walking over the downed doors he would look around at the place, it was quiet, weirdly so in a place like this. First thing that would catch his eye's would be seeing the scorch marks along the walls, there were very few people that Kira knew that could produce heat like he and inferno, and the idea of someone else with the same power...its getting to common.
Kira couldn't help but whistle, as he finally was inside the large fortress. "This looks like a giant arena compared to a fortress if you ask me. hmm? What's that?" Kira would walk over to what he would think be a figure of some sorts but in reality a painting on the wall, being curious he would inhale and then exhale as wind blew the dust and ash off of it, to reveal the Inferno family. "...Roy...and that's a awesome dragon in the back, reminds me of Ivory." Kira would grit his teeth as he walked away from the painting wanting to leave it intact. Walking next to Oni again he would notice a flicker in the distance and would be drawn to it, and he wanted to investigate it. "Why do i get a bad feeling from this place..." Kira's instincts were going haywire about this place, Inferno's home gave him a feeling of combat and he would react properly to it.
Placing his right hand on the massive hilt of the blade he would twist it as the scarf would shred apart freeing it from it's captivity, as it moved in the air it would blow away the dust and ash from around Kira and Oni, and to finish readying himself he would rest the blade on his right shoulder as they journeyed forth.
[!] ~”And the flames of defiance burns bright within those that desire it ”~[!]
As Kira blew away the dust and ash on the painting Oni would shut his eyes. Time had really gotten the better of this place. "Hundreds of thousands of beings have lost theirs lives inside and outside of this place. The feeling of death still clings to these walls." The hair on the back of the tigers neck was bristled. He wasn't used to this place being so dark and dirty, but Inferno hadn't been here in over two thousand years or so. What did he expect?
It was then that he would spot the flickering light from the throne room. "I think I just found our living night light." As he spoke Oni would point towards the flickering light with his left arm just to make sure Kira had spotted it. Oni would continue to walk casually towards the throne room as Kira prepared for a fight. Let's be honest, they had just kicked in Inferno's front door. Being prepared was probably a good idea.

Both Kira and Oni entered a small hall way that would lead them to the throne room. They would discover one of the massive stone pillars had fallen and was currently blocking their way, most likely due to the structure weakening over time. The toxic air that was outside the fortress was not absent inside either. Once pass the pillar in whatever way they chose, they'd be clear to enter into the throne room. The open door way which wasn't an arc but two massive statues holding the roof up and a large block was the entrance way.
Upon entering the throne room they'd see several rather impressive fire pit candles lit through out the room which stretch as far as half a football field. Why such a massive throne room? There were no windows but a few more pillars like before. This room housed more than pillars and candles but The Prize Fighter's throne as well. It rested in the far back of the room. There were no rugs or carpet leading to it, just fine work of stone which as they brushed away the ash, dust and whatnot from walking on the path they could see that it told stories of Inferno's battle. Oni would recognize a few of them, such as Kite, Light, Lucas, Morik, Krestal and of course even Arc himself was featured.
The throne had two giant statues of warriors which featured some sort of strange demonic armor, The statues held weapons were similiar to Carnage, a trident in which Inferno was infamous for using in combat. From their eyes and mouth poured lava which crawl down in a maze like fashion to the floor. The lava continued to create two straight rivers down the walk way showing the stones that features stories of Inferno's battles. Surpriseingly, the room seemed to be intact and very well taken care of compared to the rest of the fortress. Perhaps Inferno had done some spring cleaning or was trying to bring life back to his home.
Sitting there on the throne was of course the fire demon himself. His elbows rested on his knees as he was hunched over. His finger tips together with his palms apart. His head was lovered, pondering something. He was wearing his cloak, a dark black cloak which contained his intense temperatures. He knew of Kira and Oni's arrival but was puzzling why they were there in the first place.
[!] ~”The winds of freedom blows for those can't hope for it”~[!]
Kira would have his blade dawn and at the ready as he kept in front of Oni as they advanced along the path laid before them, it was a strange place as all the items of the warrior he's heard so much about were laid out for all to see, then again it shouldn't be surprising it may not be nearly the size of Inferno's home but they both held onto their trinket's and gifts and items of war just bout the same. "...That statue catches the uglier side of Lucas i say heh." making light of the statue's was just due to how much Kira respected Lucas, and even though with everything he heard he still wouldn't give up on his friend, he would find a way to save him but first was this man Inferno.
"Yo." Kira would walk in first with his sword over his shoulder as he stared at Inferno with a calm yet sad expression, he didn't wanna say what was next but he knew the reason they came here and why it needed to be done. "Hate to come in like this...but you should know, you deserve the right." He would take a step to the side if Oni was behind him or not to reveal Roy. "Your son fell in battle fighting like the warrior that he is, and we've come to honor his passing by bringing him here for his burial, his home." Kira would take a few steps forwards his eye's locked on the fire demon himself. "Whilst we fought in heaven, he died fighting Cruxis, against Morik here in hell, using the last of his strength he showed us what happened...Inferno i...i'm sorry i couldn't save my friend who is also your son...but..." Flames would erupt from Kira's feet and quickly surround his body as the flames danced and swirled around him, his anger making the flames manifest. "I swear i'll avenge Roy, but Oni need's more then just me to reclaim hell to make that happen, well you help him do that Inferno, to avenge Roy and pay them back for what they've done?"
Kira would exhale as the flames died down from around his body, however he wouldn't lower it sword, if anything he stayed tense, ready to defense himself and Oni from the rage that Inferno might unleash, no father want's to be told their son or child or wife had died, no matter if it was angel or demon, it was something nobody ever wants to hear, and thus he would stay poised ready at the moment Inferno might end up attacking them. Best case Inferno would just join them and fight, worse case Kira knew deep down they maybe tangoing with the lord of fire, would the wolf buckle to the demon of fire? or would the demon grant them his power to fight what needed to be fought?

The King of Hell would only shake his head as Kira just blurted our the current situation seemingly without thought. Slowly Oni would stride past the wolf and gently lay Roy down in front of Inferno. "I haven't come here to ask for your help in reclaiming my throne Inferno. I will face Kikyo head on and win, of that I am sure. I only came here to deliver your sons body and let you know that he died at the hands of Morik Draven. A man that I had been informed died......at your hands."
Oni would stop talking for a moment as he stood up and walked back to stand next to Kira. Once standing next to his unlikely friend and comrade Oni would start to speak again. "You know Inferno, I want to make Morik pay for what he has done, and in that I came to ask for your help. What better way to destroy someone than with the help of someone that already knows how they fight? While I expect you to decline joining us now just as you did in Heaven know that the moment you start a fight against Morik we will show up, and we will join in on destroying him. Even if it means having to fight against you as well for interrupting the fight."
Finally Oni would turn around to face the man that was once his commander. "It just pains me to know that had you been a better father Roy would still be alive. Had you trained him how to use his power as you do he would have been able to win against Morik! Hell.....if you had only killed Morik as you said you had Roy would still be alive! The boy may have been a weakling, but he had potential! He had loyalty! He never once turned his back on Hell like you did!" All of Oni's bottled up anger had just spilled over, and it was directed to the worst person ever. Things were about to heat up and Oni knew it.
"Mother today is the day. I will finally earn my name!" Said a small boy, jumping up and down.
"Alright, alright. Come. Lets see what your father has prepared for you today." said Maya walking with the small boy as he lead her through the hall of what looked to be Inferno's fortress before....before he became Leader.
Inferno stood there waiting in the courtyard which surprisingly enough was very grassy with a few open patches. He stood there arms crossed as he looked over his shoulder to see Maya walking down to courtyard.
A black dragon flew over them with large wings, casting a friendly shadow over them as it landed on the top of the fortress to overlook. "Father..." The young boy said, holding some sort of halberd. It looked special and indeed it was, for it was a gift from Raphael himself. At the time, Raph was Heaven's Commander. Inferno nodded and motioned him to move forward.
"Today you will show me what you are capable of. Today you will show me your strength. What is your name?" asked the Prize Fighter. Inferno wasn't wearing his mask, he was using dried molten rock to cover his face and wasn't wearing his cloak but his Commander's armor.
"Roy Salazar!" The boy yelled back. "Earn it!" commanded his father. The two of them instantly locked in combat. "Be smart, use your senses!" ordered Inferno as Roy struggled to get back his father's defenses. Roy showed his speed was much more capable that his fathers but struggled finding the urge to actually hurt someone. "Don't be weak. Do not show me your weaknesses!" yelled Inferno.
Roy rolled out of the way, just before lava slammed in front of him threatening to break every bone in his body. Roy turned to look at his mother. "Do not look to her, she can not help you! Your greatest strength is your dependence on yourself. Seeking others is a sign of weakness and I will not have it!" said the fire demon waving his hands back and forth now. Roy landed directly in front of his father now. "Counter this!" yelled Roy as his hands slammed on the floor while launching a kick with both speed and power towards his father's face.
Just before contact, the ground beneath Roy broke apart and pulled the boy under. The lava wrapped around Roy and quickly threw him onto the ground before tossing him aside. Roy had a rough landing but was determined not give up. He struggled to get on his feet. His mother was of course worried for his safety. "Darn, that's not even fair. Your defenses are cheap! Why don't you fight without lava?" asked Roy with one eye closed.
Inferno had a grin on his face. "You want this to be easy don't you. What will your name be worth if I just give it to you?" he replied lowering his defenses. Maya walked over to Roy to heal his injuries. "Does your son really need to earn his own name?" she asked jokingly but knew what the answer would be. she smiled as Roy picked himself up again.
"He has to be strong. I will not have it any other way. He must prove himself worthy." he said crossing his arm. Maya shook her head disappointingly. "You know, you have a strength that your Father will never know of." she whispered. Roy looked confused. "You have kindness and you are willing to help others. You have a heart my son." Roy smiled. But that smile quickly left his face knowing that he may never earn his father's approval.
"I just wish he wasn't so strict on me that's all." Roy said jokingly. "In the end Roy you will see. He loves you. Even though he doesn't show it well I know he does."
*Flashback ends*
Inferno sat on his throne as this flash played a million times over before he lifted up his head to look down upon both Kira and Oni through the eye holes of his infamous mask. The Lord of Fire shook his head in disbelief at first before a sense of anger fell over him. He'd stand up, his hands forming fists. Through he always wanted Roy to become his equal it seems that he had forgotten how to look over the only thing he had left in the realms that were Heaven and Hell, his son.
As Oni mentioned the person that was behind Roy's untimely demise, Inferno's fist tightened. Morik Draven. Inferno never thought he'd go as far as to take out Roy. He was only there to push him to a distance of achieving his own inner power. Grave miscalculations had been made on Inferno's part. Was it the right thing to kill his comrade when he had the chance? Inferno and David were sent on a mission to take one Morik who was one of the original members of Cruxis but due to their friendship he was left alive and forced into hiding.
Revenge on Morik was one thing but now Oni was placing the blame on Inferno. Everything Roy did was to prove in his father's eyes that he was worthy. Even at death's door step, Roy showed undying courage as he was willing to go against both Morik and Kikyo for Hell's glory. His loyalty towards his Realm was as strong as his loyalty towards his family. With every emotion hitting Inferno at once, he could help but notice that Oni was standing right in front of him.
He'd wave his left hand to the left of him as the floor open up to take Roy. The block he was placed on slowly sunk into the floor of the throne room for his Inferno to moan his passing after business was taken care of. Morik killing Roy was unbelieveable but not far fetched. Kikyo made a promise to look after the boy and where was she? Questions that Inferno was going to find the answer to later but for now, he was going to take his anger out on the one person he had unfinished business with,
Oni would regonize the look in Inferno's eyes has they blazed brightly now. Not even an orange or red but an almost pure white. The mask it self was turning a pit orange which should give off a strong hint of how furious Inferno was. "Morik WILL NOT be your concern. As for Hell, I will deal with them as I see fit." he said rather aggressively. "But you, Oni you have more important issues to worry about." said the Lord of Fire walking down from his throne.
He finally hit the same walk way as Kira and Oni before stopping in front of the steps that lead to his throne."Of course my son would give them everything and they'd give him nothing. His first mistake. I know all too well what it is like to serve under the realm of Hell, to lead it, to fight for it, to defend it and to even go as far as to give my all for it. But for what? For it to sink and fall again. Hell is weak as is it's leader. Kikyo has betrayed me as have Morik and you!" he said glaring at Oni referring to the event of him locking him away in an endless abyss.
Inferno began to walk again, it wasn't like the fire demon to approach his opponents. Each step was normal til one of his steps shattered a block after it landed. Inferno was slowly growing in size now. His foot was larger than origianally seen. He stood a good 6 feet but was now reaching a monsterous 10 feet. The lava rivers to the paths sides now dragged behind Inferno, crawling up the back of his legs. His cloak was now ripping apart revealing the Inferno's true colors. He was transforming into his armor form. Something Oni had not seen since the last time they fought when he was side by side with Lucas and Inferno was side by side with sera otherwise known as Raphael.
With each step, the floor before Inferno shattered. he'd finally come to a stop a good distance away from both Kira and Oni glaring down at them with intent to obilirate them. If Inferno losted a son, then why shouldn't Oni lose a friend? "Tell me Oni....how much do you care about Kira?" he asked with such a sinister voice. Kira was unaware of Inferno's powers and combat style, especially in this form. An evil grin was placed upon the Prize Fighter's face now, has he lost his insanty? Was Oni willing to take such a risk?
