"Had you done so you would have found yourself very immobile with a head ten times the size of a normal one..." Scarlett replied, taking Lloyd's hand and pulling herself to her feet. "But since I have your attention, start reading this while I go get the other books."
Pressing a worn leather-bound book into his hands, the alchemist waddled back into her library and pulled three more books from various stacks, this time bracing the piles of books with her belly so they didn't fall on her.
"Lilith already asleep?" Scarlett asks, returning to lair of alchemy toys.

"No, not yet." Lloyd took a look at the book, everything looked all foreign to him. "She's not asleep yet, that and I-"
He blinked as he watched her return with three more books on her belly. Well, at least it was useful for something.
"And I wanted to talk a little before we got started on this. She thinks I should cuddle with you, and personally, I miss your smile, Scarlett."

Scarlett smiles at Lloyd's confession although her back was to him and he missed it. Placing the books on her desk, Scarlett sank into her chair. "Well she is a paladin so she would put other people's needs above her own." Scarlett replies, "And although you owe me a belly rub still I must say your presence is a blessing, especially to somebody like me who is due any day now..." Scarlett pats her lap full of belly for emphasis.
"But what is it you would like to talk about?"

"Yeah, she's great like that."Lloyd walked over to her chair and knelt in front of her lightly massaging the very pregnant belly of the alchemist. Might as well kill two birds with one stone. He followed her lead, focusing where she wanted him to the most whenever she gave the signal.
"Anything, we have time to kill. Its been so many years since we met at that tavern, huh? I still have you to thank for everything. You're the first to not look at me as a freak, or to not avoid me."

"That would make your paladin friend the second I guess..." Scarlett replies with a smile. "But yes, it has been a while since we met. Hardly seems like only six years..."
As her thoughts slowly drifted down memory lane, the rest of her was well aware of the task at hand and the baby in her belly quickly brought her mind back. "Oh yes. In the book I gave you is the summoning circle we, and by that I mean you, will need to draw. Never was much good at drawing myself and I'm pretty sure my belly would destroy whatever I managed to draw."

"You've always been there for me. I don't know what to call you at times, friend, sister, or my mother." Lloyd smiled back at her as they followed onto old memories. She took pity on him and gave him a place to stay, even fed him. In return he protected her, and took care of daily duties so that she may have more time to tend to her alchemy.
They were the family each other never had, never was she afraid of his blood lust. Despite having seen it for herself, Lloyd's humanity wouldn't let himself allow it to harm her.
"I'll get to that and your baby in a few." He wrapped his arms around Scarlett to cuddle her, nuzzling her cheek. "Just let me hug you for awhile. I've kinda missed it."

"Fair enough." Scarlett answers, returning Lloyd's snuggling with some of her own. "I too missed you. Its been a long hard two months without you around to help me out..."

"I know, and I'm so sorry that I left you here alone like that. But you know I had to get rid of the would be opponents." He said to Scarlett. He didn't want anyone banging down her door to fight him. Who knows what would have happened to her just for knowing him. "I'm glad nothing's happen to you."

"Me too." Scarlett replies, holding Lloyd's head to her plump chest like a mother who hadn't see her child for a long time. "I get so worried when you wander off to fight people like that but I understand its in your nature and you have to do it..."

With that action, Lloyd turned a dark shade of red. "See, this is why I don't know whether to call you sister, friend or my mother." He teased in their moment. Normally he'd refuse Scarlett, but it's been so long. Not to mention that being pregnant has helped her there in that department.
"But really, I'll be okay, Red. And i'm sorry that I worry you, I don't intend to when I go out there. It will end once I find Mathias. Once I end him, You, Lilith and I can be a family. We will help you raise your child in peace without worrying what troubles tomorrow may bring."

Scarlett shrugs. "We're a little bit of everything to each other, thats what makes our relationship so special. It will be beautiful day if and when that happens..." She states, playfully ruffling Lloyd's hair as he talked to her breasts.
"Well we better get to work summoning that hound for you and Lilith, I imagine her temple wouldn't let the two of you go for very long."

"They know I left to help a family member. You're the only family I have, so that can only be you. Told them you were sick, which was true to when I saw you last. Besides we're staying for as long as that little one of yours decides to make you it's home." He said in response to her. Taking a few more moments to enjoy this, he signed and nodded his head.
"But yeah, I think you're right, Scarlett. She should be asleep by now."
Getting up from her comfortable natural pillows, Lloyd took the book in hand concerning the summoning and began to follow it and Scarlett's instructions on drawing the circle. So far, everything was going as followed.

"No, no, no... That line needs to curve inward more." Scarlett told him from the sidelines of where they had decided to draw the summoning circle. While her alchemy lair was hardly free of her many books, it had the most space for such a project which was uncovered once Scarlett had tasked Lloyd with moving her desk and some shelves. Due to her cumbersome pregnancy bulk Lloyd had also been tasked with retrieving various materials from the proper portion of the house but after a hour or so of work their circle was complete and the summoning materials on hand.
Grabbing a lit candle from her desk and another for Lloyd, Scarlett carefully stepped over the lines of the circle and joined the Blood Knight in its center. Propping the book of summoning atop her shelve-like belly so it was visible to both of them, she took Lloyd's hand and looked up at him. "Ready?"

Lloyd grumbled and groaned the entire time. Nothing he did seemed to be done right the first time. Least it got done eventually. Things had sharpened up nicely after an hour of work.
He took her hand in his and nodded once they were both ready to start. "Of course, ready when you are."

"Rightio, follow my lead and we'll hopefully have this done in a few minutes." Scarlett said, gently squeezing Lloyd's hand before starting them off on their chant.
After a few minutes of this the words began to flow together as they repeated over and over again. With every repetition of the chant, the circle they stood in began to glow brighter and brighter.
