Merrick sighed as he shifted, unintentionally pressing a certain part of himself that was currently fairly obvious and nearly seven inches long against her hip as he went too speak. "Honestly,I have no idea," he admitted. He inhaled sharply as that part of him jerked slightly, hoping she both wouldn't notice it and that he wouldn't embarrass himself.
Lorcán blinked when Amelia shouted, though he wasn't all that surprised. He forced back a grin at her sharp words to Carolyn. About time someone put it bluntly enough for her to get the point, he thought. He blinked at her revelation, and though he hadn't seen her for a while, his instincts told him that where she was at that moment was where she was safest for her.

Constance stared in wonder at how the wound was practically healed now. She was glad that it was and Merrick seemed to be okay. At first she didn't notice anything amiss and then she felt something pressing against her side. She looked down and when she saw what was pressing against her side, her cheeks flushed a brilliant shade of crimson. There was no way he could want her like that...could he? It was just from all the excitement from being shot at twice...wasn't it? "Umm, we should probably check on our stuff," she said softly. "We have been out here for a little while." ------------- "I don't know, but the sooner we tell her the better." Amelia said with a sigh. "She probably won't believe us at first, and when she realizes we aren't lying to her...well who knows how she will react then." "I will tell her," Merida said as she stood up. "No offense to anyone else here, but she should be told by a member of her own coven. Besides, Constance is like a little sister to me. She may believe me quicker than anyone else." Merida looked to Lorcan and smiled a little. She knew he would most likely offer to go with her, but she wanted to do this alone. "And you, Lorcan...don't even think about saying you will come with me. I need to do this alone." She turned and swept out of the room. Without a word, Carolyn also left the room. She was still shaken from Amelia's outburst. "Well that is that." Amelia said as she stood up. "I will see the two of you in the morning." She nodded to Cassandra and Lorcan before leaving.

Merrick exhaled add Constance went crimson, knowing she'd noticed it. "I'm not going to say I don't want you, since I'd be lying. However, I'm not going to force anything on you though it's kinda obvious that I like you and you're obviously beautiful," he said wryly as he tilted his head, letting his arms shift off of her shoulders so she could stand.
Lorcán tilted his head slightly, his countenance thoughtful. Seems to me that the parts of both Merrick and Constance is more complicated than we thought, he thought. He was far from surprised at Merida's mischievous look and Amelia's slight smile as Nala watched them keenly. He sighed at Merida's chiding tone, but shrugged one shoulder in acquiesce. He knew that Merida knew where Constance likely was at that moment as well as he did.

Constance stared at Merrick for a moment and a small smile spread across her face. He did really like and he wanted her. He was a gentleman, letting his hands fall from her shoulders so she could stand. She had people tell her she was pretty before, but he had used the word beautiful. That was a complete different ball game. Constance's eyes closed as she brushed her lips against Merrick's in a gentle kiss. "I feel the same way about you," she said softly. "I have been attracted to you since the first moment I saw you." ---------- "I do not envy Merida that task," Cassandra said quietly. "I wouldn't even know where to begin." She looked over at Lorcan. This was supposed to just be a simple meeting, deciding what to do about the witch hunters, and now it had just blown up to a lot more than she thought possible. "Constance is strong, and if she is anything like her parents she will be able to do this." She rested her hand lightly on top of Lorcan's. She knew he must be worried about the girl. Not only because she was part of his coven, but because Constance and Merida were so close. Hell, Cassandra herself was even a bit worried.

Merrick blinked, surprised by her confession. It was one thing he definitely hadn't expected. He swallowed hard before he spoke. "I didn't know that at all... it's kinda hard to gain romantic knowledge in a monastery," he said sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neckas his deep reddish gold foxish ears reappeared, contrasting sharplywith his silvery white hair.
Lorcán sighed. “I know how you feel; it seems as of things we once thought to be only stories may be real, like Merrick with his two kitsune tails," he sighed, not knowing what had happened after the earlier meeting.

Kaosujin Ryu I will change colors later..doing this post from phone real quick. Constance chuckled, shaking her head. "I haven't had romantic experience either." She ran her hand lightly through his hair, her fingers lightly brushing his ears. "So we are both pretty much in the same boat." Constance jumped from Merrick's lap when someone cleared their throat behind them "Merida! You startled me." She frowned when she saw the look on the coven leader's face. "Merida, what is it?" "We found out more about your family," Merida said softly. "Perhaps you would like to discuss it privately?" She glanced at Merrick. Constance shook her head. "No, you can say it in front of Merrick. What is it?" Her arms had crossed over her chest without her really realizing that she was doing it. Merida sighed as she shook her head. "Very well then." She used the tone of voice that meant business, that meant she wasn't fooling around. "Amelia was reading through a scroll which had a family history. It had the names of your father and his parents as well as your mother and her parents." She stopped for a moment and when Constance just nodded at her she continued. "Your mother...well she is the daughter of... The Great Deciever. The oldest and strongest of all the demons. The one who is starting to destroy us." Constance's eyes widened. "Please tell me that you are joking..." She whispered. When Merida didn't say anything else she just shook her head, bracing herself against a wall. "Do you think me evil then?" "Oh no darling," Merida said softly. "We don't care who your family is. All that matters is how you are now. We will be here to help you, to guide you. No doubt he is looking for you now, wanting to turn you against us." "Right," Constance said as she pushed herself away from the wall. She moved slowly past Merida, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. Merida turned to Merrick. "You should go to her. She needs a friend and I recognized those emotions between the two of you before I walked up."
--------- Cassandra nodded with a sigh. "Well our lives are way beyond complicated now. I think we just jumped head first into chaotic." She rested her head in her hands. "She has so much to deal with Lorcan. We all do." She rubbed her eyes slowly.

Merrick jerked slightly, though fortunately his tails reacted almost the moment Merida cleared her throat, recreating the illusion of his tan cargo pants over his fairly obvious arousal as he stood fluidly. He frowned at her revelations and nodded at her advice.

Constance wondered down the hall, barely paying attention to where she was going. In all the dreams that she had spoken to her mother, why hadn't her mother warned her who her grandfather was? She sighed and shook her head. So much had been revealed to her recently. She really didn't know what to think, what to do. She was part demon...and her demon half had the oldest and strongest blood in it. What would become of her?

Merrick walked quietly but quickly after Constance, his round pupils becoming slitted as he paused a few feet behind Constance. "Our pasts only define us if we let them. So what if you are related to a demon, whether it's mother, father, grandfather, great-aunt... Who cares? You have people who care about you and whom, I have no doubt, will protect you as necessary," he said simply; he knew he damn well would protect her himself and had no doubt in his mind that the other coven leaders would do the same. "What matters in this case isn't where the power comes from, but how you use it that counts," he said wisely.
Lorcán cocked an eyebrow at Cassandra, getting a sense as if there was something she wasn't saying. "Something happened earlier, didn't it?" he sighed as he leaned against the wall with a somewhat lazy look.

Constance stopped, taking a deep breath. She turned to look at Merrick, wariness in her eyes. "I know I have people who care about me. But what if I mess up Merrick? What if somehow...I end up like him? That's what I am most scared of. Becoming like him and hurting the ones I love." She shook her head slightly as she took a step closer to him. "I dont' want to disappoint you."~~~~~~ Cassandra frowned a little as she looked at Lorcan. She had thought that he was there during everything that happened. "Aside from Merrick changing and Constance's mother contacting us? I don't think so." She shrugged a little. "I just can't believe how fast this has gone from semi-worrisome to extremely worrisome."

Merrick snorted as he rolled his eyes. "You aren't giving yourself enough credit, love. Just because you have demonic bloodlines within you doesn't make you evil unless you deliberately allow it to," he said coolly. He sighed as he shook his head. "From what I know of you, you aren't the kind to be manipulated easily," he said wryly.
Lorcán tilted his head, curious as to what Casandra was referring to. "How precisely did Merrick 'change'?" he said curiously. He had a suspicion of what she referred to, having caught a glimpse of what had looked, to him, as what reminded him somewhat of the werewolves from the movie "Underworld", though it had looked more like a fox than a wolf.

Kaosujin Ryu am I not reading back far enough? I thought lorcan was there every time merrick changed? Constance said as she shook her head. "I am just upset. Why did any of this have to happen to us? Why is he so insistant on destroying witches and keeping our mothers captive?" The whole time she had been talking she had moved closer to Merrick, stopping mere inches in front of him. Her eyes flashed with fire. "I want to end it so he can't hurt anyone again, but I really don't know if I am strong enough. He is so much older and stronger."

Alede OOC - He did see the initial time when Merrick's Kitsune blood kicked in and caught a glimpse of his 'were' form although he isn't quite sure what he saw then, but doesn't know about the incident where he was bleeding from his pores.
Merrick tilted his head thoughtfully. After a moment, he grinned. "He likely would have am edge in magical strength, perhaps in physical strength as well, but the disadvantage of that is that he'll likely have several weaknesses, including his temper and ego. Attacking one would stoke the other, also causing him to lose focus and concentration," he said thoughtfully. He knew that Constance would realize what he meant. Loss of concentration leads to exploitable weaknesses.

Kaosujin Ryu Omg...I so had an idea on my way to work!! Think I will have one of the coven leaders (probably Cassandra) get kidnapped! They will have something to nullify her powers. And somehow Constance will be able to link to one of the kidnappers so she can see what's going on...Bwah ha ha...oh the things I do... Constance smiled at Merrick. He was already making her feel better. "Hey you're pretty good at this pep talk thing." She said with a chuckle as she lightly punched him in the arm. "Thanks Merrick, I needed that." She pushed her hair over her shoulder. He was right. If her grandfather was the oldest and most powerful demon then he would most likely be arrogant. That was a big weakness. Arrogance clouded your judgement. ------ Cassandra had forgotten that Lorcan had missed some of what happened. "Well when Merrick changed something else happened. He just started to bleed from his pores. There was so much that I thought he possibly couldn't make it." She shrugged a little. "Guess I was wrong."

Alede OOC - Intriguing idea. It'd give Lorcán a reason to reveal some of his magical skill.
Merrick shrugged one shoulder. "To be honest, I've never really thought about that sort of thing," he admitted. He knew strategy well enough, to protect himself, though. He blinked, catching a subtle but fragrant scent from the kitchen. "I think your cake is out of the oven," he said quietly as he inhaled deeply.
Lorcán frowned at that. "That's strange.I've never heard of something like that happening before," he said cautiously. He wondered what could have caused such a thing, add he knew of no disease that did such a thing. "Could this have something to do with Kasumi?" he said softly, his tone both thoughtful and confused.
