The first day of the academy has finally ended. Congrats to all of you for surviving the hellish torture of tying knots! As of now, you should all be returned to your homes and relaxing for the night. When we return to the academy a whole month in RP time shall pass and we will be taking our first exam on Rope Escaping.
For the Characters Takuya, Shiro, Jynn and Kuro: You shall be instantly returned to your homes and may wake up in a cold sweat reacting to the events in the hallway as though it was a nightmare. These characters shall proceed to have sleepless nights and each day they will return to the hallway after class to repeat the day's event all over again. They will find themselves sluggish and exhausted. Dark bangs hold beneath your sunken eyes and you find yourself extremely anti-social and slightly hostile. The sound of laughter haunts you in the day time.
For the Character Loric: You have a vague memory of the hallway and the children's song shall haunt your dreams but not much else shall bother you. Flickers of shadows shall unnerve you.
For all Remaining Characters: If you saw the hallway... you shall not remember the hallway. In fact, your day went by without a hitch after class and the day is just a blur of usual routines.
It Will Be Morning Again At 12 PM EST on January 26. Class Will Start at 6 PM EST of the Same Day. Enjoy Your Night and Feel Free To RP With Each Other If You So Choose.
During this time, feel free to update your character with all the words done so far. Remember you gain a base exp of 4 per 80 words. This may be modified by bonuses or reductions placed by the GM

Hattori walked up to the school building at the break of dawn. His bag hung over his shoulder, just like every other day. And, just like every other day (not counting that one day a month or so ago), he was on time for class. Hattori looked at the clock on the face of the school building, and gave a curt nod, "I've got time." Hattori turned about-face, and walked down the street to the local convenience store. It was still too early for a lot of stores to open, but Oto-Twenty-Four was open all day, all night, every day, all year.
Hattori pushed open the door. A jingling bell above his head alerted the clerk behind the counter of the customer. The old clerk peered out from behind racks of lottery tickets and cheap junk-food. A smile spread across his face and he called out, "Hattori! Welcome! Welcome!" He put down the magazine he was reading and walked around the counter, "What can I do for you today, kiddo?"
Hattori shrugged, "Hey, Mister Hotaru, I was running early for class today, so I thought I'd pick up some Cola before the bell rings."
"Then you're in for a surprise-" Hotaru said, "We just got a fresh shipment in from Koujou, and they sent us a brand new flavor of their drink. Check it out~" Hotaru went into his back room and brought back a brown case full of reddish brownish glass bottles filled with sweet cherry cola.
"They're an odd size and a specialty, so I don't know what price to sell them at yet. Until their offices open at ten, I won't be able to put them on the shelves. But I'll tell you what, I'll sell these to you at the same price as the cans. Sound like a deal?"
Hattori pulled two of the glasses from the box and gazed at the liquid inside, "Deal!" They exchanged bottles for coins, and Hattori was on his way. As he exitted the building, he called over to the clerk, "See you later, Mister Hotaru!"
Hattori crossed the street and walked up towards the school building. He held his bag in front of him, and slid the two sodas in. With a wide smile, he said, "Today is going to be a good day."

Mildly tired and feeling a bit irritable her ears laying flat against her head for the most part, Shiro stopped at the one place that offered meat buns this early, which also happened to be her favorite place to get meat buns. She smiled some and walked up to the stall. “Shiro? Hm, a little early for you isn't it?” the man behind the counter asks curiously as he prepares a pair of fresh steamed meat buns, her usual request. “Your usual?” he adds. Shiro nods lightly “I don't want to be late today...” she states as she took the coins from her bag and put them on the counter and then took the buns, as well as a smaller meat bun, that looked a little poorly shaped, this meat bun used some left over ingredients and such, and per usual it was for Bou. “Thanks.” she states with a smile before heading out. The meat buns helped even her mood out some and she made her way to the academy. She was considerably early, she just hoped she wasn't so early that the academy would be locked up or something. She glared up at the sky as if it were to blame for her being up so early. She stopped at the door to the academy and checked in her bag just to be sure she had everything she needed, this would be her last chance if she had to dash home. She lifted out Bou and searched the bag, sure enough she had remembered everything this time. She smiled some before putting Bou back in the bag “See... I knew I could do it this time.” she states with a grin. ((288 words))

She only waited a couple of moments before pushing the doors to the academy open and heading directly for class. She would knock on the door a couple of times to announce her arrival, just in case the sensei wasn't ready for students yet. If she received a positive response she would open the door and proceed to a desk in the back. ((63 words. 351 total.))

Soon the view of the Academy building was in Takuya's sights. After what had occurred yesterday he wondered what had happened in the missing time from his 'waking up' and what had occurred in the hallway. As he pushed the doors open he stole a glance to the left, the hallway from yesterday was still there. Echoes of laugher danced in Takuya's head. Grinning he nodded to the hallway before making his way to the class. He had seen what the late students had to go through yesterday, and had no desire to repeat what had happened with the ropes the other day.
Pushing past the girl who was waiting outside he slid the screen open and made his way in. It was still early, so Takuya was expecting only a few students to be there, but he was certainly surprised when it appeared that other than the girl, he was the first one in the room. Walking past the bookshelf he plucked up a book from their lessons, noticing that the instructor had laid out ropes on his desk. He prayed to the gods above that they wouldn't be tying knots today, but just in case he read over the book to brush up on what he had learned.
Propping the book on his desk he pulled out his apple, eating it as he read quietly in the back.

In no time it was ready for school again. She couldn't really remember anything spectacular going on in the school but her grades were decent enough. Today was another practical exam, a sort of follow up on the first day lessons. Rope escape; she was sure that she'd be able to figure out the knots that the ropes would be tied with but the question was how would she fair in escaping them? Sanyo again was fairly early as usual, she noticed a number of those who were late before worked on getting here early as well. That extra workload must have been terrible on their fingers. With a smile she sat down at her seat and examined her supplies for the day. It was mostly note taking materials as the other things are often provided by the class itself. She gave a gentle yawn as she awaited the start of another day.

Jynn unhurriedly stalked through the streets, staying as far away from people as possible. He had the hood on his jacket pulled up and he kept his head bowed, every part of his face covered in shadow besides his mouth. It was hardly noticeable, but the boy's lips were moving. Though between a steady breeze and commotion of the city, his words went unheard by most. Jynn walked with a closed hand up to his face, a small length of chain wrapped around his fingers. The hustle and bustle of the city was drowned out to the boy's mind, the song his lord on a constant repeat in his brain. “Know the chains... the last sound that you'll hear.” He muttered, the chain in his hand clinking as he tightened his grip on it. The people who passed the closest to him gave the boy weird looks, but he paid them no mind. Faithless sinners, all of them. A gust old cold air blew against him, flipping Jynn's hood back enough to see his face momentarily. His expression was feverish one of restrained hostility and deep bags rested under his eyes. Jynn reached back and adjusted his hood, walking up to the Academy.

~*Radagon Mimuria*~ Radagon opened his eyes as he lay in his warm bed. After a long day of school from the other day, he had gone home strained and tired from the work he had done. Because he had been unable to complete the assignment given to him, the teacher had told him, as well as a few other students, that they must complete the assignment at some point when they have time. Radagon knew this meant that he would not be able to graduate in order to become a full fledged ninja if he was unable to complete the task that he had failed at. But this was for a later point in time. For now, it was a chilly morning in his house, and he was grateful for the warm blanket he had. Looking outside his window in his room, Radagon saw some frost build along the edges of the window. "Must have gotten pretty cold last night..." Radagon said to no one in particular. Rubbing his tired eyes, Radagon got out of his bed and walked out of his room to go use the bathroom. After a good, hot shower, Radagon went and got dressed for his day. Once dressed, he again walked out of his room and into the hallway that led to the kitchen, where he could already smell breakfast being made. His mother was up and was making some eggs and bacon from the smell, as well as some toast set in the toaster to pop out any second."Morning..."Radagon said to his mother, who turned with a smile and said the same to her son. Going to the fridge, Radagon grabbed the carton of orange juice and a glass from the cabinet, then poured himself a glass. When the toast was done, a pop sound was made and the toast came out, all ready to be eaten. Sitting at the table, Radagon's mother made him up a dish of breakfast and set it in front of him. Digging in to the delicious food, Radagon noticed that he didn't see his father anywhere. When he asked his mom where he was, his mother turned to him and said to him "Oh, he's in the 'lab'. Too busy as usual to come to eat. When your done, go take his plate to him while I clean up in here. Maker forbid that man collapse from not eating". After he was done eating and put his dish in the sink, Radagon grabbed his fathers plate and headed for the basement door. The smell of burning leather hit Radagon hard, as that was the stank of his father most likely frying some poor lizard or something. Though his father was a researcher, he had a t some point took things into the direction of chemical research, and he had figured what better way than testing on animals. Though Radagon didn't really like this research, he was happy to recieve the results from his father to help him find his own research he would like to pursue. Going down the stairs to the basement, Radagon saw his father had actually had a strip of leather being burned in the fire. When his father turned his head to look back at Radagon, the man smiled and waved him over. Handing the plate to his father, he then asked him "What is this?". "Oh this? I made a chemical last night meant to make clothing alot more resistent to being burned. Decided to try this on a piece of leather I had found in the corner. Working so far, but it seems the insides of the leather are being cooked, thus the smell. Oh well, It's something at least."Radagons father then tossed the leather into the small fire he had, and went back to his bench of chemicals and other things. While he worked on his new formula, Radagon asked questions on any news about research into jutsu, medical or otherwise. When told that there was no new news, Radagon gave his father a pat on the back and said he would see him later when he came back from school. Heading back up the stairs, Radagon moved on to his room where all his school supplies were. On his small table next to his bed was the charred remains of what was once a length of rope. He had burned it the other night when he had returned, and dug the remains out an hour later. Now it was left here as a reminder of what happens when he fails. Ignoring the blackened rope, Radagon gathered all of his things into his shoulder pack, his rolls of scrolls for writing notes, ink and brush, other papers and utencils, as well as his small journal which let him right down thoughts he had at any point about things he would theorize on, from jutsu or chakra, to simple things like why does a bird head south when its cold. Not much had been written in it for awhile, as Radagon had been too focused on his school work. He was aiming for today to be better, and that meant he was going to have to work extra hard. So, once he had everything together, he walked out his room and then through the front door, saying a goodbye to his parents before he left. It really was chilly out, and it was a good thing that Radagon had brought a warm grey coat to wear, as well as wearing thicker leggings than before, thus keeping him much warmer than the surrounding air. Heading down the street and past several other homes, Radagon was on his way to the school for another day of hard work.
After awhile, Radagon finally arrived into the school. As usual, it felt a bit strange walking through the front doors, as it felt like he was being watched as he did. But he ignored the feeling and went through, heading down the long hallway that led to his classroom. He wondered who else was here, as before when he first came to class others had already made it here before him. He had cut it close when he had arrived, and it was the same this time, though he had given himself a little bit extra time to get to class. He felt today was going to be a harder day than the rope tying day, though who knows what today's was going to be like except the teacher. Feeling that it was a bit warmer in the building than it was outside, Radagon took off his coat and stuffed it into his pack for later. Once he was ready, Radagon headed for the door to the classroom and walked through after opening the door. Seeing that several other people had already, Radagon was going to head for a seat in the middle of the desks, when he noticed a small cap that was on a small table near the door. The words "Dunce Mini Me" were written on the small cap, though Radagon had no clue who this was for. Picking it up real quick, he looked on the inside and saw that his name was written along the edge of the cap. Realizing that this was for failing his assignment, Radagon was going to portest to wearing it when he knew that he had to own up to his failure. So, with a straight face, Radagon placed the cap onto his green hair and, once he was sure that it was secure, walked over to a desk in the middle. Dropping his pack to the floor next to the desk, Radagon pulled the chair out and then sat down. Trying to ignore the dunce cap was going to be a pain for the day, but he knew he could deal with it. Now that he was ready for class, Radagon just sat waiting for the school day to start, and looked around the class, wondering what they were going to be doing today. One thing he did notice when he had walked in was a row of rope in front of the teacher. Radagon had a bad feeling for this, but he'll get through it. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC:Dunce caps are cool. Post Words: 1372 Total Words: 1372

The walk to the academy wasn't as nice as it could have been, the winds were bugging him. It was just one of the things that he was finding due to his strange lack of good rest, he was more agitated now and also due to the things that had been happening to him he'd become more anti-social. He wasn't nervous anymore, but he'd started to make himself more distant from them as well. It was something that his family had found as well since right after school they say him just go to his room and lay down, even though to Kuro he was still in that hallway. After a long walk, and a chase of his hat due to the wind blowing it off his head, Kuro had made it to the academy while eating everything except his apple. Walking through the halls, the young shinobi in training kept his eyes on all of his classmates being weary of what everyone around him was doing. Taking a bite into his apple, Kuro made his way into home-room. There were a few people already the classroom, he'd gotten to know them somewhat but nothing too much. He moved over to his desk and sat down, continuing to munch on his apple before class started. He'd make sure that he'd throw away the core before class started since he'd gotten here early today.

Quote: Miyuki's bonds will be barely knotted. Radagon and Takuya's bonds will have obvious loops for it to be broken. Hattori's bonds will be tighter then necessary. Yoshinaga will violently tighten the bonds on Loric and knot it more than once with a sadistic smile. All other students will be tied up like normal with no bias. Setting Time: 8:00 AM Weather: 58*F ~ Cloudy Sky - Brisk Winds Location: Sound Academy ~ Classroom 5A Description: A small classroom containing three by three rows of desks. Each row has three desks set to each column and the desks have space to carry the utensils brought by the students. Two large desks sit in front of the classroom, one to the corner that is cluttered amongst cabinets and papers. The other is in the center and clear of anything but a box of chalk. [Visual of the Classroom] Yoshinaga tapped his foot against the floor impatiently as he stared at the clock that hung on the back of the wall. She was late... his pride and joy was actually late... Disappointment riddled his emotions and he felt his chest squeeze in sympathy of his pain. Normally he would lock the door but he would wait this one time until she returned. However he couldn't wait any longer to start the test, he wanted to rid himself of the class as soon as possible.
So standing up and making his way to the center desk where the ropes laid he cleared his throat to gather the attention of the class. "As you know, today we will be getting tested on the art of the rope escaping technique. As such you will each be tied to your chair and be expected to free yourself. Once you are completed you are free to simply leave, unless you have detention for completing the first assignment of the year. As such you will stay behind and complete the task, the materials are in the back." Taking the first of ropes he would bond each student to the chair before sitting down and reading his book.
Quote: Rope Escaping Technique:-- A basic technique taught at the Academy. It allows a ninja to free themselves if they have been tied up. All you need to do is free yourself This will be graded.Step 1: Recognizing the knot. ... 200 Words. Feeling out the way the bond is placed on you and the looping of the rope, you can use your memory to figure out what type of knot has been used on you. [Loric has to do this 3 times] [Miyuki can skip this step] Should have succeeded on learning the book in the Rope Tying training you may gain a +25 to your base chance. PC Formula: 50 + [Int(2) - 150]/10You must continuously do this step until you succeed. Each time will require 200 words to attempt.Step 2: Freeing Yourself. ... 200 Words. However there is a trick to this... the more you struggle to break out the tighter the bonds become as such doing it properly is essential otherwise you will find yourself in quite... the bind. [Loric has to do this 3 times and has a pc of a 350 instead of 250] [Miyuki has an opposing pc of 150 instead of 250] Radagon and Takuya has an opposing pc of 200 instead of 250] Each time you fail, increase the difficulty by 15. Miyuki meandered through the village streets slowly approaching the academy. The young girl was running a tad late but after this last month, she was confident that it would not be a problem for herself. Once reaching the academy, she hastily opened the door and made her way to the appropriate classroom. She abruptly halted once standing in front of the classroom door to fix her hair, as well as unzip her top enough to show off a good portion of her cleavage. Once satisfied, Miyuki opened the door and stepped through. “I am so sorry, Yoshi-sensei!” the young girl put on a pretty convincing performance. “My alarm clock did not go off this morning,” she clutched her hands in front of her body whilst bowing to push her cleavage out. ‘Take that!’ the girl smirked triumphantly while the sensei could not see her face. She quickly put on a face of distraught and worries while looking towards Yoshi-sensei for his response. “I promise that I will never allow something like this to happen again!” Miyuki exclaimed in a very strong tone; however, she could not promise that if this worked that it wouldn’t occur again. The convenience of having the sensei in her pocket was very alluring to take advantage of. Quote: Word Count: 212 Total Word Count: 500

Loric paced hesitantly back and forth outside of the class room door waiting for Yoshi-Sensei to allow him into the class room. For what ever reason, Rizu insisted that he be taken for a walk before actually heading to class, causing him to be late. After waiting for what felt like hours he was finnally allowed in, only to find himself immediately tied helplessly to his chair. Glancing around him, Loric couldn't help but notice that he had been sevearly restrained in comparison to the others. Was this because he was coming in late? He thought to himself.. or perhaps there was another reason, one that seemed for more cruel and befitting of the wide belly Sensei who seemed to have a thing for young girls. Sighing heavily, Loric closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down so that he could properly tackle the task without letting his frustrations get in the way. The first thing that he needed to do was to recognize the type of knots used on him, he would then need to remember exactly what was the weakness in said knot so that he could exploit it and escape. Bitting his lower lip, Loric refused to allow the pervy Sensei to take advantage of him. He would complete the assignment and be all the better of a ninja for having done so under such an extream handicap. The older man ushered her to the appropriate spot, so the young girl could begin the pass or fail session for herself. As he tied Miyuki up, she could not help but notice his pleasantly surprised features which took much joy in this particular situation. The girl did not regret changing her usual attire to something more fitting of the weather. His face contorted with hungry eyes gazing towards her petite physique was enough to make her nauseous. The young girl’s saving grace was a question elsewhere in the classroom. The man looked at the student with certain distaste before hesitatingly leaving Miyuki’s side. Once alone, Miyuki tried not to squirm too much while bending upwards to inspect the rope, as well as the particular type of knot that was holding her upwards. The young girl could not quite get a good enough look, regardless of how much she tried. She decided that she should change up her plan and try to take advantage of her sense of touch. Touching the knot, she could not quite figure it out. It was much different than any of the knots that she had studied during this past month. Cracking a sly grin, Loric glanced up at Yoshi-Sensei defiantly as he immediately recognized the first of the three knots that were used to restrain him. Tilting his head to the right he scanned the formation of the knot, analyzing the way it curled as well as the amount of loops that made up the knot. After only a few seconds, Loric knew that he had figured out once again exactly what type of knot he was facing. As he looked around him he noticed something slightly odd. Miyuki had barely been tied up at all. Frowning slightly he realized that once again she had been rewarded for simply being the teachers favorite student despite the fact that Loric himself, along with a few others have shown themselves to be equally if not more capable. Sensing Lorics frustration, Rizu began to growl out in complaint. Leaning his head down, Loric and blew on the back of his head to calm him down. The last thing he needed at this point was to have to deal with Rizu becoming irritated while he was sitting here tied to a chair. "It's ok Rizu.. I am gonna get us outta here in no time buddy and you are gonna help me with that" Quote: 442/400 Step 1: Recognizing the knot :: PC Formula: 50 - 5 + 25 [93x2 -150]/10 73% Success2/3
