alicemae Kraeela *pats the Serieve* Where are you moving from and to where? Oh hush girl, I moved from one country that I lived in for 16 years to a country 23 hours away! 3nodding It's been good so far... Indeed, where? It seems everyone is moving lately. *feels like stuck mud, lol* Don't feel bad, Serieve, change is good for us every now and then! We'll always be here for you, hehe. Maybe we should start a thread for people to post their day and ramble about whatnot? It would be nice to get to know y'all better, especially since we're working together on the 'zine! Certainly not as far as another country or even 23 hours away. Only about 12 or so hours. From Georgia to Arkansas. My dad's planning on retiring. My mind is constantly telling me the reasonable things (Change is good! You'll get used to it! Make new friends, meet new people. Exciting!) but then my heart has to go and be a pain (what about your friends? What about your childhood memories? It'll never be as good as this! You want to live with a bunch of old foggies?!) Anyway, the depression is already gone, so I can go back to not thinking about it. biggrin Can you explain what you mean by the advertisement idea? I didn't quite understand. You mean pay people to advertise us in their sigs or something? And I'm glad Murraben came through. ^^ Thanks for your help Kraeela. heart I just finished writing the pride story and I'll be putting it up right away. After that, we'll just have the Greed story and Twi's project, which she' says will be sent to me via email and on time! *happy dance*

I was goign to scrap together something for Greed, but if you've got it udner your belt, well then, I shall proceed to oother things.
Seen the rough draft lately?
And yes, Ms Heart and Mr Brian rarely socialize.

Seen the rough draft lately? And yes, Ms Heart and Mr Brian rarely socialize. Going to? We still need something for Greed. I wrote something for Pride. ^^ Alicemae was talking about some advertising or something on the previous page. I didn't quite understand. Quote: Ooh, just got an idea on how we can raise funds for money prizes! Maybe we can post an offer for advertisements in The Afterthought for writers, authors, or contest leaders who need a platform to have their voices heard. Ads can either go in The Watch or The Afterthought. I'm thinking 30g per line for The Watch since it's at the beginning of each issue, and 10g per line in The Afterthought since it's at the end. I don't know how successful we'll be since the Press is just a baby right now, but this could gain some momentum as we grow in popularity! ^ That.

Sorry for being so confuzzling. Just got back from a long day at school -- Mondays are my hell days, you see, I have classes from 8:40 am to 7:30 pm. There are some breaks in between, but STILL. *collapses*
Anywho. What I meant by the ads is that other Gaians can have us to link to their threads in each issue. If someone wants to announce a writing contest and fears that their thread may be pushed back too quickly, then we'll include a small blurb for them in either The Watch or The Afterthought for an equally small price. The last issue had a decent run at the top of forums, so these ads will get more exposure than a regular post. Likewise, authors or artists who want to plug threads showcasing their work can be included as well.
Hope that does it, although, let me know if you guys have anymore questions! sweatdrop

If we're going to adverstise somebody, they should at least be reputable. Only contests that are formally run, not s**t thrown together in two minutes. That and I'm rather annoyed right now because I have to wait to submit my response to Wendigo on sterotypes, racism, and giving handouts to minorities.

Don't stress yourself. Writing a silly story for a project run by a 15 year old freshman in highschool definately does not take priority when compared to the tasks that come with being in a University.
Plus I have also just realized March 22 for you is probably around our March 23, predawn hours in the morning. gonk
Whatever shall we do about this alicemae? I trust that Dev will manage to do her story, seeing as she's come this far. I think we should wait on her, and take her time difference into account around the time of our next deadline. I think it's a good exception.
EDIT: Scratch that. Dev is letting Kraeela do the Greed prose. ^^ But now at least we'll be prepared if something along these lines happens again.
Looks like we're going to make this deadline by the hair of our skins! xd

Well, as long as you manage to put the crap together at the last moment it still counts. In other news I'm closing in on actually finishing two stories in one month. A new all time record for me.

No, not yet. The one isn't actually finished yet. But I'll be printing off the one, so I'll have time to put it up. And on that not, my printer has a serious redshift going on, the cartridge is really starting to fail. I'll pm the story to you since I don't think you're a member of the wannabes.
Oh Important announcement to mention in the next issues.
There is a solution to the problem with apostraphes, quotation marks, and other marks that get screwed up on Gaia. If you use the setting below it will display them properly, and they don't screw up your computer. It's just something that needs to be put out there for people.
For Firefox Users, Go to View, Character Encoding. Select Western (ISO-8859-1)
For IE Users, Go to View, Encoding Select Western European (ISO)

Edit: Yep, he's right. It works. 3nodding That's an interesting tidbit there.
P.S. I also used it on IE, but it didn't work. Only works on Firefox for me. Try it!

Well try the other Western ones. I didn't do much testing with it as I don't use IE, but with actually knowing the ISO, I'd assume you somebody would know how to get the right one.
Though, I'm about ready to go apeshit with these damn printers. I had to pull the thing out of my parents printer just so I could print. My dell printer sucks because you have to use specific dell cartridges, which run out too damn quickly. The cartridge holder for my old a** cannon doesn't seem to want to print. So I had to go grab the whole thing from my parents printer. I'd say this, when I go to college I'm getting a new printer that takes generic cartridges, those work the best.

And all this is supposed to fix is the problems Gaia has with the apostraphe key, and possibly with copying text from word.
