However, some questions... Were best left unasked.
Since Quin was there as well, he nodded at her in greeting, his expression unchanging, "I propose we postpone our date."

And then they were separated. Tex couldn't be as bothered about it as he should have been. That lullaby was in his blood, dragging him forward, telling him that he needed to save someone. He turned, leaving the dead end as well and starting out on his rescue mission.
And promptly found himself at another dead end. The poor cowboil looked as if he was going to need rescued, himself.

The hyena would have been laughing, even though he pulled the same stunt a few minutes earlier. Perhaps he didn't realize that they were both within hearing distance of each other, Skyler and him, as he remarked on his lost buddy.
"You know, this would all have been solved if Skylar could light up the floor with his eyes. How cool would it be, to have flashlight eyes?"

At the end of the passageTurning as Malcolm suddenly joined them Quin gave him a small smile. " Aye, I guess dis would be a bit of a lousy date." Quin agreed. Zeke didn't hear Skylar. Unfortunately but he was confident that Skylar would meet up with him eventually. Meanwhile, what were these voices passing through the halls? The faint ones, not the conversational ones. Were they supposed to be familiar?

Third time’s the charm, he supposed. When he turned around the corner Dabir didn’t find another Jacking dead end. No, he just found more pathways to walk toward. Impatiently, he blew air out of his nostrils. How far was this passageway going to be, huh? He just wanted to get to the end of this already.

Explore the passageway
Oinqa took her time following everyone into the library. Once she had snapped out of her stupor, she realized the whole situation was kind of exciting in a strange sort of way. Dark hallways, red dots, weird whispers... yeah, exciting! She debated just hanging out in the library, but in the end she deemed it creepier than the passage. The place probably wasn't restricted for no reason, after all.
She took several steps forward, refraining from grabbing the person in front of her, but found nothing but a dead end. That was odd. She could have sworn...
The ghoul shrugged in the dark and turned back the way she had come.

You know what? Whatever. Dabir was going to just stay in this passageway forever. This exploring business was making him go ape. Was exploring dark passageways supposed to be hip? Because it wasn’t. He wasn’t stoked at all.
He ran into another dead end and his tail flicked, frustrated.
