[ Cormac ; Cael ; Mercutio : Twilight Town : Station Tower ]

The bird turned to Mizu's question, crucking pleasantly and nodding, though it didn't seem to do much else. When Morph began to bounce around, he did the same, playfully circling around with the shapeshifter before he was taken away.

When asked for a name, he crucked happily and nodded, though otherwise didn't speak.

"Mercutio!"

The blatantly male tenor, with an odd formal accent all its own, was heard in Zikomo's and Morph's minds as clear as if it had been said aloud--but only their minds.

When Ferven began to talk about the two men professing their love, the raven turned to face him, tilting his head slowly, before crucking loudly and repeatedly, sounding eerily similar to laughter.


"Looks like they're friendly," Cormac said with mild interest, his legs still hanging over the ledge. "And they're around student-age, as well."

"Huh, maybe they're from the Academy?" Cael wondered aloud, craning his neck down to try and get a clear a look as possible.

"Time to find out, eh?"

"I doubt we'll climb doWHAAAAAAAAA--"

Without warning, Cormac had placed a hand on the younger man's back and shoved him off the tower's ledge. Though his initial shout only lasted a few moments, he was still very obviously plummeting below.

Cormac shook his head, chuckling. "Well, here's to hoping."

Shortly after, he quietly leapt off, and his fall was noticeably more graceful; he held his cane to his side, preparing it.

{Mizu .:. Twilight Town .:. Station}

Mizu's head tilted to one side as the bird made some weird noise. Was it laughing? Could birds even laugh? She opened her mouth to ask just this question when she heard a shout from above, and looked up to see two people on their way downwards. One seemed to be on a collision course with a broken neck, and she braced herself to jump and try to catch him, possibly break his fall, but Ferven was in her way. She heaved a sigh of relief as her friend caught the plummeting person, and she looked up to the one who was falling with style.

"What just happened?" Chip asked, causing Mizu to shrug.

[Notu: Kingdom Academy: Gym]

The gym teacher watched the girl practice, occasionally letting his tail flick as he watched her technique. Which wasn't bad, but wasn't near perfect yet.

"Your landings need work. You leave yourself too open in them. You might still be technically moving, but you're still in battle. Also if you aren't going to land on your feet, aim to land more on your shoulder and roll from there. Too high up and you'll damage your neck. Too low and you'll pin your arm beneath yourself."

He crossed his arms, tail flicking some more as he continued watching.

"Keep holding your weapon like that when you roll and you're liable to slit your own throat. You use a sword, right? It's going to be sharp and dangerous. You can't keep it that close to yourself, especially if you end up landing wrong."

With another tail flick, and a scratch of his chin, the teacher nodded as if realizing something. "Really you need to practice your landings in general. You seem more focused on the speed of it that you're lacking in another important area. You even tend to force yourself out of a roll too soon sometimes. Notice when you sometimes try to land from a roll and you still lurch forward and your balance isn't great? That's an issue in a battle. Honestly it would probably be helpful to learn to spread your weight better so you don't fall on your face or damage your ankles."

He let out a sigh as he scratched his head. "I think your best bet would honestly be practicing some basic falling recovery. It'd help get you used to distributing your weight better and would help you with your landings better. Then once you get that down, try and see how it affects your overall ability." He scratched his chin again. Seemed like the best advice he could give her, really.

Notu watched his student practice. She wasn't great at it, but she was definitely doing enough to get the hang of it at least. She was definitely on the right track. Though her question threw him for a small loop, considering it wasn't exactly about her training.

He cocked his head a little, arms crossed as he closed his eyes, thinking. He opened his mouth but was cut off by Amelia.

"Sorry to inform you, Ms. Gale, but Mr. Notu isn't exactly what you would call 'in the loop' when it comes to things of that nature. Bit of a low ranking here in the school."

Notu let out a small growl, and the Captain let out a small laugh. "Come now, Notu. You choose to be low-key here in the school, after all." She smiled at him, knowing all too well it was because she was still his Captain and put him to work. But not everyone needed to know that.

Notu looked confused at the latest question, looking to Amelia for the proper answer.

Amelia also looked mildly confused. "What exactly do you mean by dhildren? It's common knowledge that many young adolecents come to this school, after all. There are cases of students slightly younger than that, usually with a more watchful eye on them, of course."

Notu was shaking his head. "Did you see a kid running around or something?" He was curious as to why she asked the question. He was pretty sure he had heard of some students being pre-teens, though those seemed extremely rare compared to the age ranges of the other students, of course

"Sounds like a different race. And you can't just judge someone on looks alone when a different race is involved. Hell, some of my race start looking like they'd be 18 or 20 in your race when they're really about 12." The beastman scratched the side of his nose with one of his claws.

Amaria shuffled some of her charts around, scribbling notes with a pencil. "Notu has an excellent point. Some can become taller than Notu at five years, and some will stay smaller and appear younger than you for over one hundred years. Just take it stride, Ms. Shion.

"Oh... Oh!" the young man half-shouted as he realized that they were supposed to follow. "C'mon, Dale, I guess we follow these guys."

"Right behind ya, sonny," Alan confirmed with a nod, plucking a slow, mellow rhythm on his lute as he followed the younger minstrel.

"It's sure nice to meet you two gentlemen," Dylan said, trying not to follow too close for fear of stepping on the toes of the older men. "If I had to guess, I'd say y'all are teachers, eh?"
