Herryk caught the look that Hel gave Freya, but he was not very well-versed in the mystical ways of sisterhood. He shot his own glance towards Mot, though, and noticed that the boil seemed extremely interested in his food. With a grunt, Herryk snatched up a piece of meat and shoved it in Freya's face.

"Oh ho, no. Not bad at all." Herryk grinned at Hel. He bit back the words that tickled the tip of his tongue. Somehow Herryk did not think that making fun of Thor's expression would please the others at the table as much as had Herryk, so he kept that little tidbit to himself.

"We go home tomorrow, hmm?" Herryk was obviously oblivious to whatever chemistry was cooking up between Mot and Hel. For now, at least.

"I found it pleasant." Mot commented, picking up some meat from his plate. He looked it over for a while before eventually braving the actual eating part of this whole dinner thing.

Huh. This didn't taste too bad.

Freya opened her mouth to explain exactly how awful the wedding was, when Herryk's meat was shoved in her mouth.

...

She sat back in her seat, her face a mixture of confusion and amusement, as she chewed her food silently, and tried not to laugh. When she finally swallowed, her face was plastered with a grin.

"No, not so bad at all." She barely managed to chuckle out under her breath.

Hel smiled a bit at the pretty positive responses she was receiving. “Ah yes…first thing tomorrow since it’s a long ride, friend.” The reaper murmured, nodding her head a bit.

As they ate, apparently the couple of the evening deemed it the appropriate time to have their first dance, and the musicians started to play as the couple took to the floor. Hel quietly watched from where she sat with her company, working at her plate still until the danced ended and the guests erupted into cheers and applause once more. The floor was then opened to dancing for anyone who wanted, and after Sif and Thor took their seat again, quite a few other couples were dancing to the song playing. Heh. Hel glanced at Herryk and Freya. Were they going to dance?

When the music started, Herryk perked up. He stole glances at Thor dancing with Sif. Herryk had never danced before, but it looked fun enough. Also he wanted to rub dirt in Thor's face and dancing with Freya was obviously the way to do it.

Still obnoxiously in high spirits, Herryk rose to his feet and reached for Freya's hand before sending a glance at Mot.

"Would be a terrible thing to let our pretty ghouls go without dancing, hmm, Mot?" That being said, Herryk led Freya out to the dance floor. He grinned cheekily in Thor's direction as they passed. Once in the middle of the floor, Herryk planted Freya's hands on his chest before placing his on her hips. It was a good thing a relatively slow song was playing. Swaying to the music was pretty easy.

"Freya." He brushed a kiss against her cheekbone before sliding his lips to her ear.

"What is going on at the supper table?" It was pretty clear that something was going on, Herryk just didn't know what.

Ah, first dance? Mot watched it curiously, licking his fingers clean of the small morsels of meat he'd managed to eat. As the dance ended, and cheers rose, his eyes lit up as soon more couples took to the dance floor.

Dancing.. he'd forgotten that weddings have dancing!

A grin played at his features, turning back to his table as Herryk said what he'd been thinking. Mot rose from his seat, moving around and offering a hand to Hel. "Shall we dance?" He asked, sporting a rather hopeful smile.

Hel smiled a bit, watching Herryk more or less sweep her sister off of her feet, but blinked at his comment about pretty ghouls and going without dancing. Er…her…dance? She glanced at the slow dancing couples on the floor, ghouls with their hands on boils’ shoulders and hands on waists. Oh sweet Sally. Hel was more than use to the energetic group dancing, which was not happening right now, and she was fine dancing on her own…but that…

The only time she ever danced like that was once, and with her papa. It didn’t really count.

Uh…” Mot wanted to dance. With her. That dancing. The reaper glanced at his gloved hand, and then at his hopeful smile.

Jack damn it. She couldn’t back out of this. No way. Maaaaaybe she could pass it off like she had done this before. Maybe.

Hel reached out for his hand and stood. “…A..alright…!”

Mot grinned, one that reached his eyes with a sparkle of glee. He loved dancing, even slow dancing. He couldn't Hel but notice she seemed nervous. Did she not dance? Or worse.. did she not enjoy dancing? He helped her to her feet, escorting her to the dance floor.
With a worried look down to her, he spoke. "Something wrong? If you don't like dancing, I can sit this out with you.."

Aww he was grinning widely, and even his eyes sparkled. How could she deny this request? The reaper followed after him to the dance floor, rapidly shaking her head.

N..no! Nothing’s wrong!” She assured, “I love dancing!” Hel paused once they reached the floor, stilling holding onto his hand as she glanced at the other couples on the floor. Okay…so…her hand was to go on his shoulder? The thought made Hel feel a bit shy. It was rather shocking. If this was training—

Yes. Look at it like training. Training for what? She didn’t know. Prom? Sure, why not.

Nodding her head to herself, the ghoul’s free hand came up to rest on the cowboil’s shoulder, and her expression was pulled into a bit of a determined one as she waited for the next move.

Loved dancing? Well, that was reassuring. Mot grinned again, stopping once Hel did. He placed a hand at her hip, his other hand still grasping her little hand. He smirked, looking down at the ghoul. "You look so serious." He teased, releasing her hand to flick her nose playfully.

He took her free hand again after that urge was settled, and led Hel into a slow dance.

Now, Mot had danced with many ghouls before. Strangers at parties, as well as Levi and Lizzy at Prom. But Hel? She was usually on the dealing end of a training session. Dancing with her slowly, holding her delicately in her pretty gown, her hair tied up ever so nicely, she was like a different ghoul. She seemed more like a ghoul here more than she ever had.

Mot couldn't help but smile shyly.

Hel glanced down at the hand that settled on her hip, and feeling the warmth, her stomach suddenly seemed to be the home of a few fluttering moths. It was very unsettling, and by the time she looked up to retort, her nose got flicked, the reaper scowled softly as she wrinkled her nose. Hel lifted a knee to lightly nudge him in retaliation before she let him take her hand once more. “I do, huh?” She murmured, allowing herself to be led into the dance (which was a good thing, because she had no idea what needed to be done, and boils were supposed to lead anyways?).

It was in a moment like this that reminded the short valkyrie how tall Mot was. Sure, he was no where near her parents in height, but being this close to the reaper, she had to tilt her head to look up at him. Her gaze would linger on his face for a few moments before shifting back to the ribbon he wore, “…Your burns are healing very nicely.” Hel offered up quietly.

"Ah? Oh, yes." Mot chuckled softly. "They don't itch anymore either." He murmured, leading her through the dance.

He'd almost forgotten about them, or had just grown accustomed to them. They would heal and disappear soon though. It was nice not having angry red welts plastered on his face like a severe reminder of what had happened at the canyon. Nightmares were enough, let alone the injuries.

"I'm really glad you didn't get too hurt on the trip. It was one less worry on my mind." So many students had been hurt, Shun one of them. Mitsu had seen some nasty blows as well, and Riyo? As far as he could tell at the time, she was slightly unscathed save for a head injury.

Told you aloe was a wonderful thing.” Hel retorted softly, a smirk pulling at the corner of her lips. It nearly made her scowl once more to think he almost went without it. “…I’m glad though, that they’re doing well.”

Heh…glad I didn’t give you a reason to worry!” Hel was rather thankful she’d made it through the fieldtrip relatively unscathed as well. It meant she didn’t have to hold off on any training! Though as she glanced up at Mot’s face once more, eying the remains of the burns once more, a small frown tugged at her lips. She was one of the lucky few who made it out relatively unscathed. “…I am sorry I wasn’t there.” She murmured, staring down at his ribbon again. Maybe if she had been, he wouldn’t have been blinded…sure…everything was alright now…but still.

"So you're saying I should listen to you more often." Mot teased lightly. Indeed, the aloe had made all the difference.

His expression fell as she seemed to lament, shaking his head. "But you were there." He insisted firmly. "I was barely on my knees for a few seconds, and you were right there for me." Mot insisted softly, squeezing her hand reassuringly. "It made me happy that it was you who came for me. Thank you, Hel."

You should listen to me all the time.” Hel replied, grinning lightly before it faded. She was right all the time, obviously. Not.

Hel looked like she wanted to protest that. She wanted to say that if she had been there sooner, then maybe she could have taken the hit for him, but the protest died on her lips as he squeezed her hand, and Hel sighed, looking up at him with a bit of a pout. The pout disappeared though when he said he was happy that she had come for him. Hel blinked, staring him in the eyes again as she paused. He was happy it was her. “…No need to thank me.” Hel shook her head a bit. “…I’ll always come for you, Mot. That’s a promise.” She murmured with conviction.
