Shina stepped out from the last street this side of Katarina. Looking around, she saw an expanse of grass stretching to the horizon. The Pilkiras Plain. Pulling out Rasha's pokeball, she released the Ponyta and began saddling her.
((We are now at the edge of the Pilkiras Plain everyone! Shina has bikes for anyone without a mount!))

The liquid ecstasy that had only moments ago cascaded down River’s lithe figure seemed far away as the teen slide various clean garments onto her trim frame, hopping up and down as she slid into her sneakers the tomboy could hear the announcement that the group was leaving.
There was no way she was going to be left behind. No way!
Rushing up to the reception desk where Nurse Joy resided River drummed her hands across the counter trying to gather the woman’s attention. The conversation was kept short and within a few moments the girl had the red and white pokeball that contained her newly acquired zubat.
The center was already half empty however the former dancer didn’t seem too worried as she rolled the ball between her thumb and forefinger, would he be mad at her? She did after all beat him unconscious with a stick---
Grimacing and wincing noticeably the nineteen-year old found herself walking towards the seats that littered the waiting area in the middle of the building. Flopping down into an armchair the redhead stared at the device in her hand, what if he didn’t like her? What if he didn’t listen to her? The sour taste of bile eased up her long, slender throat as she continued to peer down at the occupied pokeball. Well there was really only one way to find out. Trembling ever so slightly River found the release button and pressed it. A bright light for a moment filled the area leaving the teen squinting and straining to focus on the creature that came into view.
For a few moments River expected the purple bat to screech and viciously attack her, however when the assault failed to occur the longhaired trainer opened her pale blue eyes which she had instinctively closed shortly after opening the pokeball. The sight that greeted River was one that both shocked the girl and instantly drew a smile across her alabaster face. Staring up at her with a sightless gaze the fuzzy purple zubat wriggled its tiny nose and arched its soft brow inquisitively , for the longest time River just gawked at the winged-creature as it proceeded to sit on its nubby tail and lift its wings up towards her as if beckoning her to pick him up.
“Oh em gee, you are the cutest little thing in the whole wide world,” River stated as she bend forward and scooped the tiny bat into her arms. “Are you hungry little guy? Huh? Come on, lets get you some breakfast then we will catch up with the rest of the group.”

Flint grinned as they reached the edge of town and released Rush from his pokeball. The bull Pokemon snorted and tossed his head restlessly, excited to be off. Flint smiled and patted his Pokemon on his neck then took a moment to settle saddlebags filled with supplied onto the Pokemon before hoisting himself up to sit on his back. Maya jumped off Flint's shoulder and perched herself right in front of Flint, on Rush's shoulders. she would have the least chance of falling off here.

Shina finished fastening the saddlebags behind Rasha's saddle and fished out the apple. She fed the fruit to her pokemon as she watched the group slowly gather around, tacking up their own pokemon or releasing the bikes she had lent them. Looking around, she tried to see if there was anyone yet without a pokemon or a bike.
((Hey guys, if you need a bike and haven't gotten one yet, you have two options: Either ask Shina for one, or pretend you got one from her the first day. I don't mind either way, and I'm not going to track who does and does not have a bike. Once we get moving, I will assume you have a bike, even if you forgot to ask for one. You may RP having one of the bikes Shina rented, even if you don't get around to asking for one!))

Sine they seemed to have a few minutes before they actually started leaving he hopped off Rush's back and fished the apples he had brought for the bull and offered one to him. Rush sniffed at the fruit suspiciously before snapping it up chewing hastily. They repeated this twice more with the last two apples then Flint just stood around idly running his hand over Rush's head and neck in a calming manner. He had discovered this method was effective in keeping Rush calm. Rush waited impatiently, occasionally whipping his tails around in irritation.

((Hey guys, someone pointed out that a chatter thread would be good for plotting stuff out, or discussing how pokemon or people would react to stuff, or just general OOC chatter. So we now have a chatter thread here that you may all use if you wish. This link has also been posted in the rules post, if you lose it. Just letting you guys know about this new development!))

Claramay nodded her head and with a swipe of her hand against the air, she pointed her Pidgeot to bend. He, in turn, clattered his beak. What was he? A Growlithe? The nerve!
"Al, down."
. . .
"Algenubi, down."
. . .
"Deneb Algenubi."
. . . Oh, alright already!
The Pidgeot lowered himself and the Galactic Grunt scuttled on, fastening her haunches tightly onto the large bird's back. Reflex caused her to reel back and consider a cigarette, but her fingers suddenly coiled together and she removed her hand. In an absolutely chagrined sigh, Claramay closed her eyes and breathed low. No- she was playing the act of innocent wife. Remember? That meant keeping her outlook at pristine as possible, bring the algorithm down to no cigarettes unless by her lonesome. Ugh.

Shina looked around at all the people trickling in. How had they gotten so spread out just traveling from the pokemon center to the edge of town? Oh well. Shina made a mental note to make camp fairly early each night, to let the travelers that had fallen behind catch up.
Rasha finished the apple, and Shina held out the bridle. Rasha obligingly lowered her head, and Shina buckled the straps into place. All right, she was ready. Hopefully the rest of the group would be here soon, and they could set off.

As soon as they had made their way outside, Mina released her mount, Anala, and offered the chipper Ponyta an apple as they followed the crowd. From the looks of it, there would be a lot of travelers going on the trip and, hopefully, it meant there would be an opportunity to make a lot of new friends, too!
"Let's go!" she whispered excitedly towards Anala, leading her to the area where most of the travelers were gathering. But before she could get herself on her Ponyta's back, a familiar shade of orange hair and an angry Tauros caught her eye, and she was left staring at the trainer, shocked.

"Hello there!" Shina called to the three that she couldn't recall having seen before. "I'm Shina Kiremono, the caravan leader. Do you have your bikes already? They are free for anyone who will be joining this caravan to borrow for the trip. They do have to be returned at the end though," Shina told the trio.

Keria thanked Shina for getting the bikes before getting hers out of the item ball. Plopping her emolga in the basket she gave him a stern look before getting on the bike. She was not going to deal with his running of shenanigans today. If he ran off while they were moving across the plains there was a chance he’d get lost, who knows if she’d ever be able to find him if he got lost in this place. Not to mention the looks people would give if they realized she’d lost her pokemon. Once they made camp he could explore to his hearts content.
Voltron sighed in annoyance; it was quickly becoming apparent to him that his side kick was not taking superhero duty seriously.

Shina nodded at Keira as she handed out another of the bikes. Looking around, she could see most of the group had trickled in, and were in various states of ready to go. Was there anyone without a bike or mount? Shina peered around.

Jeanne's ears perked up and she rushed out of Reis' hood and into a bunch of bushes (bushel of bushes?). Reis frantically apologized to the assembled caravan members (caravaneers?) before rushing into the bushes after her.
The bushes went far deeper than she thought as she trailed after the little pikachu. Eventually, they came to a clearing, void of all but a single, very large basket with what looked to be a tarp spread out haphazardly. Jeanne was sniffing the tarp-looking-thing, and let out an energetic 'chuuuuuu!' before hopping into the basket. Poking her head out, she motioned for Reis to come over.
Climbing in, Reis surveyed the interior. There wasn't very much inside, but it seemed like it was big enough to hold maybe 3 people her size, along with some smaller occupants. Above her head was some metal constructs, which she was certain she might have known about if she actually paid attention in Shop class.
The pikachu was fiddling around this way and that inside the basket, and let out a jolt of lightning, starting a fire. At first, Reis was freaking out, trying to find a way to put out the fire, but she soon realized it was contained by the metal construction. What's more, the tarp-looking thing was moving, going above their heads. She gaped as realization reared it's ugly head.
It was a hot air balloon.

((That is awesome enough that I'm hehe, gonna let it fly. I love it!)) Shina blinked, seeing a hot air balloon start to rise up and drift over towards the caravan. Well, if it worked, it worked. Doing a final check of her tack, Shina swung up into the saddle.
