Blocking Gianfar
He lashed out, blindly, he didn't care what he hit so long as he hit one of them, so long as he stopped something. It didn't matter anymore... he could -feel- his world crumbling down around his ears.
The world, once solid felt like sand under his feet, he was in deep and singing fast into the dark. There were too few things holding him up now, so little to fight for but he fought for it with everything he had left.
He fought for the fallen, he fought for those still standing, he fought for everyone but himself... because there was nothing left to give.

The youma totally ate Merope's skateboard. It tasted like smelly feet and kool-aid.
Out of the corner of her great eye, the Black Phoenix saw Corrupted Senshi Hel attempting to attack a Prince. Not a good idea, small one. With a flash of wings and teeth, she tossed Hel up onto her back and then flicked Prince Castor with her tail before taking off back into the sky once more.

"Sure." But not now, though. As his love pulled on her buisness face, so did he. He came from behind her, launching himself in the air, a piece of rubble in his hand.
This was a bad idea, though - a spike hit his arm and pinned him back on the ground.
It hurted, it burned, unlike anything Themis had ever felt before. He finally was able to reach out to rip it out of his arm, but it was too late.
He felt... different.
He felt... wrong.

-Try as she might one of the spines ripped through her flesh, sending a burning fire through her sturnum. A fire that ripped all the way to her chest, and she stumbled back gripping her chest. She could feel it in her.. the heat.. the darkness, seeping over her very soul and starseed.
Just as her mistress had once turned to darkness Juno now found herself subcombing as well.. regret and anger being overtaken by a horrible fit of laughter. To have done so much only to have it come to this.. The court of the young moon princess corrupted to the side of darkness. Her laughter echo'd through the air, seemingly forgetting what was going on around her.-

Castor should have been used to being called s**t by the negas. But to hear the same rethoric coming from a senshi, corrupt or not...hurt. His mask of determined rage softened for a second. "I am sorry." His wing came up, and the blow found itself hitting feathers. Behind them, Hel would see the blue eyes of Castor. "But I cannot allow that thing to kill innocent civilians, senshi or not. My duty is not to the white moon." The wing returned down. But he flinched, it was an extension of him. It hurt like any other part of him.
"My duty is to the people of this earth, to the one I love, to innocents. I won't see you destroy it."
Before he could attack, he was flung aside, the massive tail flicking him into a brick wall, he crumpled to the ground. Pain shooting up and down his body. He didn't need to look at his side to know why he felt a throb in his back.
One wing had broken, the black feathers scattered around him.

A woman-- a Negaverser-- that Scylla did not recognize had tried to stop her last attack, and the senshi turned on her now, purple eyes narrowed. Her nose hurt, aching, and blood dripped down the back of her throat. Still, the monster flew through the air.
All around her, spikes were falling, and she dove out of the way of one. There were still more, and they were striking everyone. Still, she somehow managed to avoid, dodging and ducking her way towards Zanazzite (though the senshi did not know her name) and following her after Bellatrix.
"Hi." she said from right behind the Negaverser, before her hand went out to tangle in the girl's hair.
Behind her, her limb waved, still trying to get a grip on the youma.

Birhan was so involved in checking her phone and Lina/Linarite that she didn't notice the spikes raining down from the phoenix. When they hit the ground around her, she swore and tried to dodge them. One hit her leg, causing her to swear and jump about on one leg.
Goddamn giant youma. Why wouldn't it just die already?
Throwing magical attack after attack was exhausting. Birhan was more used to relying on her fists. Unfortunately it was rather hard to punch a monster flying way above her head.
"Departed Renewal... Strike!" she forced out one last time. She half expected it to fizzle and die. It certainly wasn't a very strong attack that shot out towards the youma.
That done, Birhan glanced back down at her leg. Had she lost a lot of blood? She felt awfully woozy. In fact, for some reason, her boot looked black. Birhan rubbed her eyes and looked closer. It was black. So was the glove that was prodding at it. What in the world-!?
Panicked, Birhan checked the rest of her out (what little there was). Why was she suddenly in black? She looked down at her chest. A scream flew from her lips as she took in the gaping hole. When had that happened? One hand scrabbled, desperately seeking a trace of her starseed. Nothing. The second hand joined it - oh wait, there it was. Wait. Why was her starseed in her hand?
Birhan held it up for closer inspection. The center of the crystal pulsed steadily - in black. Her starseed... was corrupted by Negaverse energy? Since when? How? By who?
Wolframite, her mind suggested, but she batted that away. He hadn't succeeded that time. And he was too damaged from his captivity to have done so now.
"I'm... corrupted?" Birhan whispered, barely able to believe it. This meant in a moment she'd be turning on the other senshi. She wouldn't know who any of hem were any more. Her friends... her family in the BMC... all gone. All would be trying to kill her, just as she would be trying to kill them.
Birhan's legs gave out beneath her. Collapsed on the ground, she let out the wail of a dying animal.

Damn Senshi were everywhere, jumping about like fleas. There was one, popping off the ground with a rock, and Mica jumped to try to intercept him. She wasn't entirely successful, bumping into Themis in mid-air instead.

Well, that was new.
Fluorite stopped, still floating in mid-air, her wings easily keeping her afloat. "The s**t are you laughing about ?" Oh well. Wait, hadn't she been hit by the spikes ?
Hm.

Flat on his back in the middle of a chaotic field, it was amazing that Ilmenite had stayed down this long. And when he woke up, it was with a splitting headache, his hands still sore and raw, the left side of his face swollen from the blow.
That brought his mind back, and he sat up in a rush, sucking in several deep breaths. Panicked: the senshi had been killing people. He should have been dead. Why wasn't he dead? Not only that but the girl was gone, with her serious expression and her first aid kid...
Head swimming, his eyes tracked the path of a dragon across the sky, and that should have toppled him over the edge, should have left him crazy and lost, should have baffled. Instead it took away the immediate feel of his situation, made it easier to detach and focus on the world around him.
The Negaverse was defending. The enemy were attacking. He stumbled to his feet, two steps toward Birhan, to block her attempt. It was weak, his head still swimming.

"OW OH MY GOD WHAT THE HELL!" She cried as he burned her, scrabbling away and wincng as the rib started to hurt as well.
"....A...are you some kind of murderer? Li-like. What... Who are you? Who am i?" She eyed the spike that hit her, pilling it out with eyes agape.
She had NO idea who she was, who they were, and oh my GOD. She started up at the monster, it was purple and feathery and screamed 'i WILL eat your face off" at everyone. Were people riding it?
"...Im dreaming right? Hahhaa...ahahahahahahHAHAAH." She said, clutching her head and putting it between her knees.
Clearly... Lyra took corruption by memory loss and going a LITTLE insane.
Right?

Bellatrix scowled as her attack was blocked. Not that it had been able to hit anyway. So distracted... Speaking of distracktions, a spike hitting Themis was VERY distracting.
She ran over to him and watched as he pulled the spike out, worried, "Are you alright?" Well aside from, y'know, being wounded... Once again in the arm. Really? REALLY?

Grunting, he couldn't give up. He could not just roll over and abandon the city to chaos. To destruction. To death. Castor pinched his eyes shut, and got to his feet. He would attack again. He wouldn't stop. He couldn't stop. This was his duty. This was why he was a prince. Running forward, he didn't notice the falling shards of darkness, he didn't notice the rippling energy as it hurtled into the air at him. But when it hit- The world exploded into fire. Castor screamed as he felt like dark energy was being pored into him. It was wrong, it was wrong. WRONG. WRONG WRONG Castor was a Prince, a senshi filled to the bring with magical power. And this feeling of correupting was twisting. Tormenting. Sickening. Screaming in pain and terror, He called out his attack. "STINGING STORM!"Ice came like blades. Who they were ment for, was a mystery. Castor just wanted violence, he wanted blood. He was to escape it. He was sick.

Even as her fist met wing Hel could only hiss in irritation throwing another helpless fist against it staring at the blue of Castor's eyes.
"Then maybe you shouldn't have killed the people she loved!" It was a bit harsh, she had no clue if he was part of the reason so many of them had died, but the words were still true. Maybe if Tanzanite hadn't lost so many people today, maybe none of this would have happened.
"I'll destroy everything to get you bastards for this!" Before she could make another strike she was swiped up by the creature that was Tanz, or part of her. Dropped onto it's back she watched with some satisfaction as it flung Castor into a wall.
"I'm sorry." She whispered, "I can't save them, I can't do anything to help the ones we lost... but we can stop the ones who did it still..." Her eyes seemed to burn, her starseed glowing dark, "We will get them for this..."

Unobtainiumucles could no longer feign disbelief over Hephaistos strength. His Unobtainiuppercut, a move passed down from generation to generation, honed and mastered as a rite of passage into manhood, bounced off the senshi like a harmless slap.
His will was broken. His spirit was broken. From the blows that continued to rain down on him, he was positive his nose was broken. Everything inside of him wanted to fight back, but as he fell to the ground, he knew his time had come. As he watched the liquid metal form, singeing his flesh from mere proximity, acceptance crept over him. When the glistening sliver entered his mouth, the sensation was unimaginable, devastating his insides like his Hand had devastated so many senshis. The world was fading fast, the excruciating pain causing his tenuous grasp on consciousness to slip.
His arm sprawled out at his side, unable to keep his oversized Hand away from a swirling lick of black flame. The dark fire started out as little more than a smoldering ember before it spread across the foam, feeding on the material, growing in strength and might as it left naught but ash billowing in its wake. He watched as the last of his Hand was consumed, the fire dying out completely as it revealed his mortal appendage to the open air like a shameful secret.
A spark. A magnificent flame. And then nothing. How appropriate.
“I am sorry, Father…”
“No son of mine…” his father whispered, reaching out from the ether with what had to be nothing less than the foam hand of God. “… ever apologizes for such bravery.”
With the last of his rapidly draining strength, Unobtainiumucles lifted his scorched arm. Curled, withered fingers extended towards his father’s hand, touching it briefly and knowing peace before his arm fell back to the earth and he knew nothing.
For a single moment, so fleeting the warring senshis and Negas could be forgiven for missing it, their conflict was meaningless. The heart of every soldier grew heavy as they felt one of their own pass on, the echo of the name Unobtainiumucles lingering unspoken on their tongues. The memory of a noble warrior burned as brightly as the black flames that had laid waste to the battlefield.
