xxxxxx"A gaint bird? Where?! Where?!" Sacredkit gasped and turned around.
xxxxxx[His gray eyes scanned the darkening sky but no bird was in sight. Had he missed it? Disappointed, the small kit turned toward Orchidkit, just as a the rain began to fall. Puresun's yowl caused him to turn toward the she-cat and the she-cat was soon over both Orchidkit and him. Sacredkit gasped as the rain hit the ground at an unbelievable pace. It was coming down so fast! So this was rain. The young kit had never actually experianced a rain storm before and he was now filled with excitement. His gray eyes wide, Sacredkit watched the rain pouring down with complete interest. The tom turned to suggest playing in the rain to Orchidkit, when he felt Puresun grab him. Sacredkit let out a mew of protest but soon stopped struggling.
xxxxxxThe kit soon himself in a new den with Orchidkit, the rain pouring down outside. He faintly heard Puresun's intructions, too focused on watching the rain. He didn't even realize that the she-cat was gone until a few seconds after her departure. Sacredkit glanced over his shoulder at Orchidkit before curiously sticking his head outside the den. The rain met his fur and the tom-kit flinched, immediatly pulling his head back inside. Due to the fast pace of the rain, the raindrops stung the kit's skin and Sacredkit didn't like it. Stepping away from the entrence, Sacredkit looked over at Orchidkit and went to stand protectivtly by her side.]
xxxxxx"Don't worry, Orchidkit, I won't let the rain hurt you. I'll protect ya!" he mewed determinedly and nudged her gently. I'm a cat, and my name'sXXXX

[Orchidkit was about to leap at Sacredkit with glee when she heard a loud crashing and banging from the sky. She pinned her ears against her head, and looked up with wide, terrified eyes. That definitely wasn't a bird! What had she done?!]
[The water came next, and Orchidkit could feel every drop sting as it hit hard on her littlee body. Puresun was on top of them in an instant, and carried them to the leader's den in the Great Tree. Where was Sacredkit? Her answer was soon found when she saw him being dropped next to him. She was soaked to the bone, and she started shivering both out of fear and cold.]
"Where's Runningkit?!" she yowled to the leaving form of Puresun. She started to cry as she yowled, "Where's Mama! Mama!"

Despite being soaked all over and freezing cold, the tom began to lick Orchidkit, trying to get her dry and warm. He shivered as he continued to groom the she-kit and glanced outside.]

[Puresun dashed back into the clearing, this time carrying Pyrokit, Runningkit, and Yinkit in her jaws. She quickly climbed back up the tree as carefully as possible and placed them with the other kittens. Unfortunately, they were all soaked to the bone since they had been caught by the water.
Sungaze was behind her, and soon Charmingkit was added to the herd of kittens in the den. Puresun briefly wondered if she would cause trouble, and then shook her head, hoping he would see that this situation was the worst possible to pick a fight in.]
"I'll be near if you need me!" she yowled at the kittens. [She had already decided that leaping in with them was not a good decision since she was soaked to the bone and could offer no more warmth than they had.] "Huddle together for warmth! And no matter what-" At this, she screamed at the top of her lungs so they could hear, "DO NOT LEAVE THIS DEN!"
[She scooted down and dived into the medicine den at the base of the tree next.]
She shouted out at any warrior closeby, "Help me save the herbs!"

[The frown creasing Mudnose's face softened as she listened to her daughter's troubles. She couldn't recall anything bad happening between Stunkit and her before; nothing that she had witnessed, at least.
Mudnose frowned inwardly as she realised a new predicament. As she tried to rack her brain for 'motherly advice', she couldn't find anything. A noticable frown crossed her face the harder she thought. Instead, she nodded her head slightly, rasping her tongue across Autumnkit's ear with a rough purr before returning to a slight frown.] "Even though I understand how it feels to be insecure like this, you shouldn't take it out on others, dear," [she meowed sternly.] "You have to think before you act on others, how would you feel if you were in their position....?" [she asked, trailing off at the end with a frown to herself as she ran what she said through her head. Part of herself sighed shaking its head. Talks like these reminded herself of her mother way too much. It tempted her to hit her head against a tree or something.
With another stern nod, she looked down at Autumnkit once more.] "Er...yeah, so make sure you apologize to Stunkit; running away from your troubles will only make you weaker," she meowed before giving her another comforting lick.
As chaos broke out in the Clearing, Mudnose's ears perked up sharply. Just then, they were bombarded with rain. An irritated hiss escaped her muzzle and she flattened her ears.] "Looks like we're going back to the-" [Her voice was cut off by a sharp crack overhead. A small squeak escaped her as her fur fluffed up, her head snapping up. The whole sky seemed to be alight overhead. She was stunned. WHy would it be raining this bad on a night like this? There was a Gathering going on, for StarCLan's sake!
As another boom of thunder echoed through the clearing, Mudnose's eyes darted to Autumnkit. She hissed urgently to her, "Follow the other kits and get to safety!" before a call from the medicine cat den brought her speeding toward Puresun in aid.]
[ooc:] ....I can't seem to find her posting style. o.o And sorry for not posting after you did, my computer's being a jerkface. I had to hard shut it down and restart it literally four times today before it even loaded properly and it keeps freezing up on me.....I'm going to have to run a virus scan on it or something. -_-"
Heh, this was extremely awkward to write; Mudnose certainly isn't the type to give good motherly device. xD

[Orchidkit's loud cries continued, but softened slightly when her brother had joined them in the den. Still, she had no idea where either of her parents were. She could feel Sacredkit's tongue rasping over her, and she could feel the shivering die down. Warmth spread throughout her body, and her cries were now just soft sniffles and occasional whimpers. She curled up against both her brother and Sacredkit, grateful to have their pelts to comfort her.]
"They're gonna come back, right?" she whispered. "Mama and Guardianvow? They're comin' back..."

His eyes narrowed slightly as he spotted his brother but he soon turned his attention back to Orchidkit, forgetting about his brother. The tom-kit smiled softly at Runningkit, glad that the other tom had been brought in. It was clear Orchidkit felt better knowing her brother was safe and she seemed to be calming down. The golden tom let out a sigh and curled up against Orchidkit, still licking her occasionally.]

Olivekit found his sister finishing a talk with their mother before the siamese rushed hurriedly in another direction. His clumsy paws made him trip and fall until he was sliding in the mud, in front of Autmnkit. But he took no notice of that and scrambled to his white paws, now stained with dirt.] "Come on Autmnkit! We have to get to father's den!" [He yowled over the roar of the storm. His throat burned, he had never screamed that loud before. Another thing that surprised him was that he wasn't going to wait for her. Instead, he clamped his jaws tightly to her neck fur and began dragging her to the safety of Foxstar's den.]
[He scrambled over tall branches, trying desperately to make it to the safety of the hopefully dry den. Rain pelted his fur, clinging to his body. But in no way would he let this happen to Autumnkit! Olivekit shielded her with his own body, enduring blows from the sharp shards of ice crystal. He plopped down in relief when he made it inside, his muscles ached all over from his quick journey up here. Olivekit scanned the area around him, seeing Sacredkit, Orchidkit, Charmingkit, Runningkit and Sungaze here as well. His ears perked when he hears Sacredkit trying to comfort Orchidkit.] Maybe I should do the same with Autumnkit... [He thought drowsily, propping himself. He still felt shaky and exhausted, even though he had slept the day away. The weary kit looked Autumnkit straight in the eye, dull and void of liveliness as he spoke.] "It's okay Autumnkit. You're safe now...no one's gonna get us up here..." [Olivekit trailed off, falling back to the ground. Carrying his sister through a tempest was to much for him and his small body.] ❝Power is no blessing in itself, except when it is used to protect the innocent.❞

She's a strong warrior." [Then, he pulled his head out and raced down to join Puresun. Rainblast followed into Hauntedheart's den and joined her in saving the herbs. Why would Starclan let this happen tonight? There was a Gathering, and the clans were separated into two groups. He shook his head, no time to think about that now. [The fiery leader streaked back to NightClan, eyes assessing the damage. NightClan had flooded quickly-this territory was horrible during storms- and he found, to his dismay, that there was little shelter for them among the earth.
Puresun, Rainblast, and Sungaze seemed to have taken an initiative and stashed the kittens in his den, along with whatever herbs they could salvage, which was good. It was one of the few places to take shelter. Thankfully, the Great Tree was so large that many cats had climbed its twisting trunk and hidden in the nooks and crannies of its branches. It was their only hope.]
"NightClan, stay near the tree!" he yowled as loudly as he could. "We will wait the storm out. Try to keep our kittens warm!"
[NightClan was the only Clan to not have any elders. Most warriors did not last to elder age in NightClan, mainly because of the harsh winters.
He sighed, swishing his tail, and leapt atop the tree, where the others waited. Only Puresun remained at its roots, refusing to leave the kitten's side lest they need comfort or assistance.
In fact, she clawed her way into the hole herself, deciding to get dry and warm the kittens. Her lvoe for kittens was peculiar to Foxstar, but he shrugged to himself. As long as the kittens were safe.
His heart felt warmer at the sight of his mate, Mudnose, taking shelter in the trees as well. She let him know their kittens were safe in the leader's den. He pressed himself against her, resting his chin on her head. He was glad everyone was safe, but especially Mudnose. A raggedly happy, albeit nervous, purr rose in his throat.

Where are my kits?
[She pricked her ears as she heard the mewlings of kits in the leader's den, and she raced towards there without any hesitation at all. Even though she knew it was the leader's den and wouldn't usually run in there unannounced, when it came to her kits, she didn't give a rat's tail. She squirmed her way in there, pushing other cats out of her way with rough commands of, "Move!" and "Out of my way!". Finally, she saw the familiar pelts of her kits, and she gave a deep sigh of relief.]
"Mama!" Orchidkit squealed in fear, scrambling to her paws with watery amber eyes and running to her mother's paws.
"I'm here, love..." Tigerfang said, licking her kits' head each gently. "Don't worry, mother's here..." ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅▅

Her Mother was a large, tall cat. Muscular, fierce, and short tempered at idiotic cats. The exact opposite of Yinkit, who was tiny, short built, but had the best temper, even toward 'idiotic cats' She bounced over to Puresun. Opening her mouth, only to close it, as a sharp pain spread through her mouth. Her big blue eye's stared up at Puresun's ears. The flame masked kit touched her paw to Puresun's, as if wanting her attention, she then pointed her nose up at Puresun's ears. [Puresun sat in the den, her tiredness aching over her. She had gotten lucky-choosing to stay with the kittens was the best situation because of how dry it was. And she had actually gotten to sleep much better than the cats out in the rain, so she was faring better than they must have been...
Tigerfang had crammed herself inside the den as well, refusing to leave her kittens. It hadn't been awkward-Tigerfang was quite passive with her kittens, and Puresun felt a quiet admiration for the warrior for her soft, unusual nature towards the bundles of fur. The extra cat gave the den added warmth, and soon it was moderately warm-but the blast of cold from the rain was ever-present, and sometimes water splashed inside and coated them with cold water, draining what little warmth they generated with their body heat.
But, blessedly, the rain began to lighten, the darkness slowly lifting. It was an etheral sight to see out of the hole in the tree, and Puresun gazed out groggily in silent solemnity.
The ground outside was wet and disgusting. The swamp had flooded over everything-what was NightClan going to do?
She sighed and turned to see Yinkit staring at her curiously. She blinked at the kitten, hazel eyes shinging back in amusement. After a few moments, she realized the kitted was staring at her ears when she poked them.
Puresun licked her paw and rubbed it over her ear, then poked the kit with a paw playfully, twitching her folded ears.]
