The professor looked to Devon, the new student, and smiled. "Good day, dear. I'm guessing by your appearance that you are a Hufflepuff. May I ask you what year you are? Once this is taken care of, you are free to start the new assignment, which is on the chalk board" (My other post above this one.) the professor motioned to the stuff they were working on.

New Lesson
On the chalk board, the professor, in large print, had wrote out the questions she wanted answered.
"You are free to copy down the questions, or answer all these questions in an essay response. If you do the essay, I expect atleast a three paragraph essay, one on each of the three terms we are studying. If you do the paragraph, I expect 20 out of the 25 questions answered in the paragraph. Thank you!"

Sparrow worked on the assignment thoroughly. She had taken notes on most the items but had to reread through the book a couple times. Sparrow finished the assignment in a short period of time and she had decided to place it into a essay format. Sparrow then stood up and walked up to the Professor and said, "Here you are Professor."

Sparrow's Assignment
Becoming an animagus is a learned skill by a witch or wizard that allows them to change into a specific animal at their will. A witch or wizard can only have one animagus form. This is because the form is determined by the traits of the person. They would only have one animal that their traits most closely resemble. It is unknown what will happen to one's clothing when they transform but it has been speculated that it will disappear as the person morphs. It is also thought that they must think of their clothing while this happens. When they transfigure back the clothing will reappear. An animagus will have difficulty retaining what they are thinking when they transform and can communicate with other animals. A famous unregistered animagus was Rita Skeeter. TI is required to register as an animagus. An animagus would reveal their animal form and their distinguishing markers. The registration is available to the public and is to ensure nobody abuses their ability. There were seven registered animagus in the 20th century. I cannot transfigure into an animagus without my wand. I believe my animagus would be a sparrow because that is what my patronus is and i read that often they are the same. An animagus can communicate with other animals.
There are major differences between Metamorphagus and Animagus. Animagus have one definite form while Metamorphagus can take numerous forms of any living creature. They can change small parts or their entire form. The skill of metamorphagus cannot be learned it is a skill one is born with. The emotional state of the person will affect the abilities. I would disguise myself as a male maybe to talk myself up to the guy I like, or I would maybe be an adult to order people around. Not sure.
Lycanthrope is the correct term for a werewolf. There are many differences between werewolfs and animaguses. A werewolf comes to be because they are bitten by another while an animagus learns how to become what they are. An animagus chooses to transform while a werewolf has no choice during the full moon. A werewolf comes to be when there is saliva of a werewolf in contact with the bloodstream. The werewolf must be in the form of his/her wolf for the full transformation to occur. Werewolfism is not hereditary. Every full moon a werewolf will take the true form unless taken the newly discovered wolfsbane potion. The wolfsbane potion allows a werewolf to retain their human mind when they transform. The word werewolf comes from Old English. Wer meaning man and of course wulf. 1637 the werewolf code of conduct was put in place and the Anti-Werewolf Legislation was put into place by Dolores Umbrindge causing many werewolves to go into poverty.

He was ready to fill them all but it was hard copying down everything on his parchment. The roll just kept being longer and longer. Nathaniel stretched his arms before dipping his quill in his bottle of ink. It was time to write and do his best. He wasn't in the mood to write an essay, so he just decided to answer the questions like a regular quiz.(Please highlight below to see answers.)
1. Define, in your own terms, what an Animagus is:
It's a wizard who can transform into an animal at will, while being able to keep its human mentality.

A wizard can take the form of any animals.
b. Why is that?
Magic can transfigure beings but a non-animagi wizard would have the same brain activity as the animal he transforms too, leaving no memory.
3. a. What happens to a person’s clothing when they transfigure into their Animagus?
It is unsure what happens to a person's clothing.
b. What happens when a person transfigures back? (Clothing-Wise)
They regain the clothing they lost, they won't be nude.
4. What is so difficult about being an Animal? (Think about Brain Function)
Being an animal would mean having the same brain. An animal won't think, it'll follow its instincts.

Well, a red panda is an asian animal. I do have some chinese blood in me. It's also quiet and solitary by nature, much like myself outside of class. They are mostly active late afternoons, which I totally agree with ! Also, I do have the same hair color as their fur.

An animagus can transform into a specific animal while a metamorphmagus can change the features of his body in any shape.

I'd probably change more than the color of my hair. Gender-bend into a girl, transform myself into an old man, a little kid. I wouldn't risk any animal metamorphoses.

Werewolves transform against their will and only during a full moon. They are also violent in nature when in their wolf form.

A "were" is an old term for "man" and "wolf" is obviously what the man transforms into.

The WCC came out in 1637. While Dolores Umbridge put in place the Anti-Werewolf Legislation because of her disgust of hybrids.
When Nathaniel finished, he signed his name on the bottom and went to give it to his professor. He might have answered more questions required but he only hoped that would help.

"Very good, you two. You are dismissed until the next lesson! Ten points to gryffindor and Ten points to Hufflepuff! Oh, and very well, Devon. Thank you very much for informing me. You are all set to start the next assignment." Professor Annette took their assignments happily. She then realized that she had a lot of grading to get done, and not a lot of time to do it in. What was she going to do? Push it off, of course. She liked relaxing. Seeing that no other student was really around, she stepped out of the classroom, ready to go get a bite to eat, and then take a jog around the school building. She honestly did miss exercising to no end. It was bothering her, and it wouldn't stop until she went out for her jog. She wished there was a better way, but sadly, there was not.

Blake walked in to yet another classroom. He walked up again as usual and introduced himself to the Professor by saying, "Hey Im Blake a Fourth Year Slytherin. I just started here." His introductions were getting shorter. He stood there with a blank expression and waited for the Professor to respond.

Annette smiled to the new student, and said "Welcome, Blake. It is a little late for me to ask this of you, but you are very welcome to start the old assignment if you would like. If not, we are going to start a new lesson in a few days. Just study up on Animagi, Lycanthropy and Metamorphmagi, alright?" She was a bit disappointed to know that not many of the students had turned in the assignment, not even Amelia had completed it. But, no matter, it was easter after all. She would let it slide for a little while and hope some students would turn it in late.

 Liviana MacLaren wandered in the Transfiguration classroom again after a long absence. She quietly took a seat in her usual desk, placed her bag at her side, and neatly folded her hands in her lap.
"Sorry I am so late, professor," she said meekly. Eying the lengthy new lesson, she chirped, "Should I just go ahead and start?" (I've been really busy! I graduate in two weeks. I may not be back online this week for very long, but afterward I can be here as much as I like.)

The professor eyed Liviana for a moment, and then said "No, dear, that's quite alright. We are going to start a new assignment today anyway. So don't worry about this one. Although, if you do the assignment, it would only benefit your knowledge on the subject." Annette thought for a moment, trying to come up with a better solution for this. What could she do for her? Annette herself had been guilty of missing things lately, and for not being able to catch up. "How about this? You can just glance through the questions, and if there are a few you do not know the answers to, look them, up, and you are all set. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Don't bother handing anything in. It's no big deal." She said with a smile. Annette went back to setting up her new idea for an assignment for the class. One for each grade level.

New Lesson ((Just forwarning everyone that I will be starting a new lesson today! If you can be here, that is awesome! If not, no worries, it's not a big deal. It will be going on for a week or so. Not many of you turned in the Animagus assignment, and you still have a chance to do so. If you turn it in by the 13th, then I will not take points off. Every day after that though, I will be taking off points, five at a time. This assignment, being an important one, is out of 50... This next assignment is also a big one, because we'll be transfiguring animals. Each age group will be transfiguring a different animal into a different object, but that will be explained later. Okay! So, I'll see you in a few hours I hope!))
