Kicking another rock over he felt soft hands get over his head, covering his eyes, followed by Tsu's soft voice. " I couldn't be able to say." He said seriously smiling. ' I guess I can always go for that, I'm not sure how it will work, but it sounds about right.' Akura thought in a split second, preparing an answer to cut off Tsu right before she would talk back to him, and possibly hit him in the back of the head for ' not' remembering her.

" An angel maybe?" He asked her smiling putting his hands over her own, taking them off him he turned around allowing his red hair to flow with the gentle breeze, the hair setting itself in his face, which he soon fixed by letting go of Tsu's hand, pushing his hair to the side and then putting that same hand on the girl's forehead, pushing against her gently, not nearly strong enough to push her away or anything. " Or am I wrong about that?" He followed up, still holding on to her hand.

Still holding on to her, he smiled as he heard her comment. " I'm pretty sure you could if you tried hard enough, or if I threw you hard enough." He said, though that was more to himself than anything. " What was I doing? You know, the usual, blowing up the tower. Looking for Kay, stealing the Kage's secret sake stash." He said laughing a bit, before looking at the girl in the eyes.

" I kid. I kid. You know I wouldn't do any of those things, save for well, looking for Kay." He said letting go of her hands and now looking up, the sun setting upon Sunagakure. " I was suppoce to look for Jade's stash of Sake... until you know..." He said as he held on to the stash which was beside him. " I'm keeping this by the way." He then said, bending down to grab the bottles in his hands, his red hair covering his eyes.

Hearing her laughs Akura smiled and looked up and the top of the destroyed tower. " I'm not really looking for him, I just... I don't know...I guess I miss him a little. Akura then said turning toward Tsu and hugging her, with Jade gone, and Kay on a possible dangerous mission, Akura couldn't help but to feel useless for the time being, he had gained so much in the past weeks, only to have that crumble down no thanks to Zane's appearance, Akura was going to find him, and take his body for himself, but first, he would have to do Jade some justice, he had to become stronger, and spread the woman's peace to the rest of the ninja world.

Thinking about Jade, tears came out of Akura's eyes but with his face out of Tsu's line of sight they would be hidden away from her, and she hopefully wouldn't see them.

Akura also let go of the girl and he wiped away his tears and looked up. " What the hell am I doing? Crying for Kay, Jade trained him well, he can hold his own." Akura said, smiling back at Tsu, though the smile somewhat forced, just so that Tsu would feel good. " I wonder, are you still able to tell when I'm lying just like the old days? Back when I could just say I was fine and have a broken arm; though it never worked, you always managed to tell I was lying and know how I really felt by just talking to me." Akura the said closing his eyes, taking in a deep breath.

With that said, Akura looked at the girl. ' Kay... just come back... I want to kick your a** at least once in my life...' He thought closing his fist, taking his eyes off her and looking at the destroyed tower.

Hearing her Akura's eyes returned to gaze upon his angel, hearing her joke he smiled. " Not funny Tsu." He told her, though he himself began to laugh after he said it." Maybe you are just that good love, I've been told I'm not that easy to read; maybe you are just special." He told her sitting down on the ground. " Although there is no doubt about that." He said, now looking down at the ground.

David Greyson

Following the ANBU's direction, David made his way into the tower, pausing momentarily to look upwards towards the top. The top floor had been completely blown off by that blast, and several floors down further had been somewhat severely damaged. There were craftsmen all over the tower hanging from lines and scaffolding repairing the damage. It was truly lucky for them that the bomb had been set off at the top and not the bottom of the tower. A sneak attack of that magnitude would have destroyed the tower, and possibly killed everyone inside. Even he would still have been inside if it had been done that way.

Going inside, he only went up a few flights of stairs before finding the door he apparently needed to go through. The ANBU who had called for him was waiting outside, and opened the door, motioning for him to go in. Nodding to the ANBU, he did so, stepping into what appeared to be a large council chamber. There was a massive table in the shape of a U, and men sat all around the outside of it, leaving only one vacant chair. That of the Kazekage, in the center of the table. A helpful final message from the Yamanaka ANBU directed him to go to the inside of the U where there was a small stand for guests of the council to speak, or listen, as was more common. It was where they had those who had committed crimes stand to hear their punishment be debated, or for important debriefings that had to be heard by the entire council. David was honestly not sure which his would be.

Taking his place at the stand, David simply stood, looking around him at all of the different council members. Even priding himself on being able to read people easily, he couldn't tell what was going through their minds as all they seemed to do for upwards of five minutes was stare at him, occasionally looking at each other as if having a silent conversation, then back at him again.

Finally having had enough of the staring contest, David spoke up. "If someone doesn't tell me why I am here in the next five seconds, I'm leaving." he deadpanned, marveling at the surprised looks he garnered from the councilmen. But, none of them spoke up, so on the dot of five seconds, he turned as if to leave. "Wait." one of the councilmen called out, holding up a hand to bring him back. Once David's attention was back on the council, another began to explain.

"David Greyson, you have been called here because Sunagakure is in dire straights. You may not have known this, due to your coma, but many of our men were lost when Cloverfield attacked. In the recent attack by Zane Hajime, many more were injured, though there were few deaths. However, due to unknown circumstances, Uchiha Jade, our Kazekage, has fallen ill and is no longer able to perform her duties. The sannin Aeden has taken her from the village to attempt to return her to health, but neither are expected to return. The council has found Hyuuga Etsushi to be, undesirable, as a figure to fill her place in this village. And that leaves you as our highest ranking ninja capable of taking on the position of temporary Kazekage."

As the man finally paused, David looked forward, staring at the man in pure shock. Did he hear what was just said correctly? No, he couldn't have. That wasn't even possible.

"Now," the man began again, breaking into David's thoughts. "Normally we would not take such measures. We would wait for a suitable candidate to appear. However, with news of recent events spreading to the outside world, we will quickly lose face if they find out we have no kage, and we will be at risk of another attack, from a rival village this time. You may not know it, but after your actions against Cloverfield, you have become a popular figure in this village. Even if you do not feel adequate, your reputation will hold the position for you. You must only train yourself to meet the requirements. This is a temporary position. As soon as a better candidate arises you will be returned to your normal status." he finished, sitting back down in his seat, having risen during his speech.

David still remained silent. This time it was the council's turn to wait in silence as the boy attempted to process all that he had just heard. Even the constant ramblings of the demon had stopped in his head as he wrestled with the information. Jade was gone, David of all people was the most qualified kage candidate, and above all that, if he refused they could end up fighting a losing war?

Turning around, David's body automatically walked out from the enclosure of the table, right out of the room. Walking down the halls of the tower, he ignored the presence of an ANBU following him and kept going until he found an empty room with only a desk and chair. Probably some random secretary's office. Going inside, he sat down in the chair and closed his eyes. He needed to calm himself down and think, process the information.

David had always thought of the village as his own. Not in the way most people thought of their home. It wasn't just the place he would return to after every mission. Not even the place he would defend with his very life. Those were not the feelings he held for this place. It was his. A possession. The people within it were his. Everything within the walls of the village, his. The very sand was his. He had felt this way for as long as he could remember, and the feeling had only grown stronger when he had tricked them into giving him the Ichibi.

And now, they were giving it to him. By making him kage, it would truly become his village. His people. His. He had never even dreamed of this chance. Much less that it would appear so soon. It was too good to be true. Could it really be happening? Opening his eyes and looking up, David found the same ANBU from earlier still there, standing just outside the door to the random office he had chosen, guarding it. His ANBU. His ninja. His people. His village. David always protected what was his. If it was this or let the village fall, was there ever really a choice?

Standing up again, he exited the office, walking past the ANBU and down the halls, back into the council room with a new air about him. He would take the position, hold the power, and what was his, would stay his. Forever. "Send a hawk to Kiri and call back Etsushi and her team. Call it an emergency, and sign it with Jade's name." he commanded. It was probably a great secret of the council, but he was sure they forged the kazekage's names quite often to get things done without it going through the kage. This would be another instance of that, but with a distinctly different reason. By signing Jade's name to the letter it gave the illusion that she was still there giving the orders. That was what he wanted. She was strong. Stronger than him. The longer they could keep the illusion that she was still in charge alive to the other villages, they wouldn't dare come after them.

"And when that's done, call in all the active shinobi in the village. I'll want to see them." he added, leaving the council chamber and walking to the top, taking all of the stairs for once. He would wait in the kage's office, destroyed though it might be, it was still the place of power in the village.

Akura had managed to make a small conversation with Tsu, though short lived, he seemed to be crashing and burning pretty quick. He saw her on her heels and offered a smile. " I'm so glad you aren't blind anymore, you'd be tripping like hell right now, or well, you'd be in my arms right now 'cuz I won't let you fall." Akura told her with a smile, before long, an Anbu walked toward the couple, glancing at both of them.

" You are both to report to the Tower for a special announcement. The anbu said, and Akura got up and nodded. " Come on Tsu, duty calls." He said giving the girl a smile, and so Akura walked up the some-what unstable steps of the tower, and before long he managed to get to the Kage's office, and he saw David. " Hey David, long time no see huh?" He said, not knowing why he was called, Akura had a good idea it was about a new Kage, but as far as he knew, David was still a Chunin, and a Chunin being the Kage isn't something very wise.

Akura's eyes glanced over the Kage hat, but he didn't make much of it, he saw it as a reminder that his village needed someone powerful, and with a very good immune system, to take the chair, or in this case, hat of power. He then saw David on the chair, glancing over some documents. ' Ah David, as uncaring as ever, I still can't believe you actually made it to Chunin.' Akura thought, the boy held some sort of resent toward David, this for the way he treated Koi, but it wasn't something he talked about, or thought much about up to this point, he just let that die in the past, but the feeling was still there, up to a point.

" Yes, very interesting day indeed, I know I won't forget it for a while. Akura then told David, putting his hands into his pockets. The boy had a few other reasons to remember that day, the tower's destruction and Zane coming back to haunt Suna, Jade falling ill, along with other things, that was also the day that Tsu got her memory back, which for him was very important. " So, why am I here? I doubt I'm getting a promotion, I doubt Kay died in his mission... So yea... Either you'll tell me that the Coma of the Sand virus is contagious... or something else totally different." Akura told David, walking into the unstable room, getting closer to David, his red hair static.
