Yuri smiled and gave a light shrug. "You have a point. But still, I'm not exactly the most graceful when it comes to training, and the closeness of the flowers would just prove more difficult. Barren lands and open spaces are more suitable to my style of swordsmanship." He explained before his thoughts decided to disagree with his explanation. It was a memory of one of the knights, Marcosias, easily the biggest of the group but also the most gentle when it came to the lives of others and nature. "Even the smallest of lives can bring change in some way. Remove that life from existence, even if accidently, and the natural timeline of things will change. Most times it would be insignificant to the planet as a whole, but everything that lives has it's importance to another." His voice echoed through his mind. Realising that he was just standing there silently, he rubbed the back of his head, something he did on more than the odd occasion. "Besides, I wouldn't want to risk destroying a flower that could have healed someone else in the future had I not come along."

Yuri nodded solemnly as he placed his own hand beside hers on the trunk. He thought about what it must have been like, growing up with a mother and having to bare with the curiosity to know who the father was, but he couldn't grasp it quite in the reality of what it would be like. When she talked about the flowers, he nodded again, closing his eyes as more words from his teacher soon escaped his mouth. "Flowers also need those who can protect and nurture them until they are ready to leave this world. Their fragility is limited to how many others they grow along side them, their ability to survive limited only to what trees and bushes are around to hide them from those willing to destroy them." The words never truly sunk in deep enough for him to understand the meaning, but standing there with Lillie gave him a little more clarity. "People are much the same, needing others to depend on to help survive and grow...I always had the Kylin knights for that until I came here..." He then opened his eyes and turned to Lillie, tilting his head lightly. "Who do you have?" He asked softly.

Lillie had a point, he had been a victim of a particularly nasty flower that stung passers by a while ago. "True, but they still need protection from things that they cannot poison or bite, even if it is only minor or indirect support." When she answered her question, Yuri could only stand there and think, unsure of how he could respond. Eventually giving up on logic, he let his mouth run on it's own to see how things played out over the natural course. "Well...I trust you...I mean, without your help I most likely wouldn't be able to figure out where everything is until the end of my graduating year. Maybe...I could find a reason for you to trust me enough to help you in some way as well. It may be my duty to protect members of the royal families, but that doesn't mean I can't protect them simply for the reason of wanting to." He said, wondering now if that was the right thing to say.

Yuri smiled, part of him knew she was going to tell him to stop with the formalities at some point. "Consider it done, Lillie." He said happily before thinking about what she said afterwards. "So, you consider me a friend then." He said, his smile growing a little bigger. "Thanks, I haven't actually had someone I could call a friend...well, one that wasn't a man over the age of 25 that wore armor close to all day." He looked back up at the tree and watched as it's leaves almost dance as a gentle breeze blew by. "Well, whilst we still have several hours left in the day, shall we continue our little tour?" He asked.

Yuri didn't comment on her favourite bathing location, he didn't know how to comment on it anyway, so he just smiled and walked along side her. "Alright, as usual, lead the way."

Devlin smiled and stopped for a moment to admire the gardens in the moonlight. He was himself a gardener at one point he took it up as a hobby something to do during the day. But that was some time ago. He smiled and looked at Dr.Adams wondering for a moment as she somewhat rested/leaned on his shoulder considering he was just about the right height for it and looked up thanking whatever deity there was for stunting his growth.

Devlin grinned and smiled he was something of a maverick in his field that is when he did practice. "I didn't lose it in an accident or anything I, was so devoted to my projected I testing the process on myself." he said as they continued to walk. He smiled taking int he scent of the autumn flowers and watching the leaves in the dark, it was just his time of day. He'd always been in love with the night and considering his pale pasty white complexion he always burned easily. He was always jokingly called a ghost or a vampire, and laughed at the jokes. That is until he came to reeds and actually encountered some of them. He just smiled as he felt her feelings about the situation and just closed his eyes for a moment and held his tongue not really minding being used as a crutch at least after all it wasn't as serious as some things he'd had to deal with.
