Sir Kyle Aziz Lt. Brookman The next person to question the future of the Tau will find out what happens when we stop asking questions and instead just start shooting. emotion_donotwant At BS3 I'm willing to take chances with your shooting. =P But in all seriousness. I'd be okay with a WD update for Tau and Eldar. I look at some Eldar lists and they can only seem to have one army style to win, same for Tau it feels at the moment. I'm okay though aslong as I have some good games with friends. It does get disheartening when Chaos and Dark Angels and Black Templar armies can do a variety of styles and things and just walk all over anything I want to do as Tau that isn't cheesy competetive style. Well, a hell of a lot of 40K units thrive and sometimes are only viable by how much all shooting had to be butchered, thus the Tau being all range and artillery makes them very difficult to run and Marines can walk across a board to punch you once in the face and win. What they really need is to make highly mobile forces viable and some more close-range weaponry. Otherwise, I sure hope they combine Daemons and Chaos into one book, they really should be used together every once in a while instead of being treated as two separate armies, but that's just me. sweatdrop

Haaaa, the Inner Circle has finally whispered. ninja
Rumour appeared at BoLS, only thing showed up is that there maybe a plasma sponsos for tanks, aswell as plasma main gun variant on predator or vindicator and chaplains being elite, many model squad that can be assigned to other squads per model in sameway as Sanquinary priests in C:BA.
I´m digging the plasma on tanks, but the chaplain seems....... not right.... :/ Would be more fitting for BT is you ask me. ninja

DarkElf27 So, is there a timeframe on the rumor of 6th Edition release? Summer this year, preceded by the Dark Angels codex and followed by a new Chaos Space Marine codex, all within six months of one another.

GW's paint range will be revised later this year: Quote: • There are 144 paints (the current line is only 73), so the range is doubling in size. • Broken down into Bases (foundations), Layers (normal colours), shades (washes), Dry (essentially goopy paint for dry brushing), Glaze (thinned washes for easier blending), Texture (sand + colour) and Technical (liquid green stuff). • Bottles are not changing. • Every color is renamed, there will be a white dwarf with a comparison guide released. Blood red is now wild rider red, ultramarine blue is Calgar blue, skull white is white scar etc etc. There is a big expansion in the greens. There are pinks again, and more purple. • Foundation white!! Named Ceramite White • New how to paint book that includes a 90 minute DVD • Mega paint set available year round now, but is super expensive apparently. Prices are apparently the same (for now).

Gah, terrible. I'm going to make my old paint set last as long as possible, I don't want to have to try and get all these new ones.
Is GW ever going to release a full paint kit (E.G, their full line of paints in one case) again?

ArletaMagic We found out about this when we went to get me a set of paints today for my SoB... Kind of exhausting that they are changing all this up. FLGS' need to get rid of their current stocks right about now or else they'll be stuck with old stock by the time new items roll in, which can be very dangerous for some FLGS'. DarkElf27 Gah, terrible. I'm going to make my old paint set last as long as possible, I don't want to have to try and get all these new ones. Older colours are NOT binned, merely renamed. As said in the rumour quote, GW will run a comparison list that will tell you what the old colours are called in the new range. Again, just a change of name, not a change of colour.. DarkElf27 Is GW ever going to release a full paint kit (E.G, their full line of paints in one case) again? Says so in the rumours I quoted, the mega paint sets are the cases with all paints, tools and whatnot included. From the sound of it, the upcoming variant will be a large sized army case instead of the regular army cases they used until last year. Also, these will not be limited deals and instead be available all year round, so no need to rush or murder to get one.

Gah, I'm horrible about reading back far enough in a thread before asking questions. sweatdrop It probably will cost an arm and a leg, my set cost around $200 and only had 66 paints and 5 empty mixing pots.

I hear ya, this will be an expensive set to buy, but at the very least, something of a discount is to be had from it over buying the range per pot. Though in all honesty, who needs all those colours to begin with?
