Luna smiled and stood up walking up the stairs to her study and picking the album closing it gently. She then walked back down the stairs back to the kitchen. She sat down next to Casper and opened the album up to the very first page, the one that showed her little girl at the age of two. Blond hair in pig tails and looking adoringly up at the camera, which was held by Luna when the picture was taken.
"That's Rosemary." Luna said with a smile.

Luna looked down at the page to see which picture he was looking at and she sighed. "Yeah. My husband." she said frowning.
He hadn't been bad when she had first married him. He had been sweet and caring, funny, everything she could have dreamed of.
"He was a good man before the war. I don't know what happened to him over there... But when he came back all he ever did was drink. I figured if I let him hit me, he wouldn't hit Rosemary..." she said with a shrug.

Her husband had beaten her? What the hell kept her so nice?
"You should have hit him back." He said lowly. Casper wasn't particularly violent in everyday life, but people knew not to ******** with him.
"That guy, Salem or whatever, told me you "just didn't hurt things". You should have hit him back and if he got crazy, you should have broken a bottle over his head." Casper looked up at Luna.
"I just, I'm trying to understand you. It's not like you're a coward, so why you don't just fight back baffles me." He placed his hand under his chin. "I mean, being a pacifist is great and all, and it certainly makes a point that you're more civilized...but I dunno, when push comes to shove, it's good to shove back."
He shrugged.
"I dunno, you're an enigma."
Casper closed the book and patted the cover, "They're great pictures."

  The dispute had ended. With Casper missing in action Sarah was in charge so Chris and Kevin just fell in line. They had traveled uptown and Sarah was checking inside a bar while the other scoped the areas around it.
Kevin walked in and touched Sarah's arm.
"You better come outside, this is a weird one." Sarah didn't even nod. She was all business right now as earlier she had recognized that she quite frankly needed to get a grip. She walked out with Kevin, heels clacking and her eyebrows rose at the sight.
"A body?" she asked not all too impressed.
Chris who was crouching over the fallen form stood up.
"Yeah, but look."
Sarah came closer and ran her eyes over the body. Clearly it was the work of a vampire but what was so...and then she saw them.
"Fangs."
"Yup."
"She was, a vampire?"
Kevin came up behind her. "I know. I don't understand it either. It's obviously a vampire that killed her, look at the bite mark."
"There's no blood in her either."
Sarah bent down and inspected the body more closely.
"The only thing that doesn't fit," she said, "is the fact that her brains are splattered all over the floor."
That wasn't typically vampire.
"Why would a vampire drink the blood of another vamp?"
"Why would they attack to begin with?"
"Territory?"
"Maybe they were just pissed."
"But still, you wouldn't drink the blood...or crush their skull."
"Unless-" They all looked at each other.
"Do you think this could be the work of our newborn?"
"That would, partially make sense. He'd be territorial, and he'd be thirsty. He probably wouldn't know the whole vampire blood makes other vampires even thirstier thing."
"But still, this is just damn weird."
"Vampires are pretty nice to each other...and this crushed skull really makes me wonder."
"Newborns usually attack the chest, not realizing stabbing a dead heart wouldn't work."
They all took a moment.
"We should report this. Chris, call HQ immediately."

Luna sighed and looked at him. "I don't know what it is Casper, but I hate it. I hate violence, any form of it. When I was changed, I didn't know what was going on. And when I started killing people... I tried to kill myself, just like you did... It was like my worst nightmare coming true." she said, at a loss for words and she sighed. "But I was taken in by the man that changed me. He kept me from doing what I wanted and eventually I just gave up and started living. The first thing I did was find a way around the killing, once I did, it was like I had an actual reason to live again I could show others that they didn't have to hurt people either." she sighed again. "I'm rambling" she laughed and pulled the album back to her.

That was fairly noble of her. He snorted though at the whole maker taking her in shin dig. "I don't think my maker would ever take me in...and if I ever see that b***h again, I'll ******** torture her for days before I bite her head off."
That was vicious, but Casper meant it. He was not happy with his maker at all...for A LOT of reasons. First and foremost she had turned him purposefully out of revenge, not cool, but secondly, because she massacred whole towns. She was evil in a pair of heels!
He growled involuntarily before breathing deeply and calming himself down.
"Well," He said huffing a little, "it'd be nice if more vampires were like you, but, they aren't so..."

Luna tilted her head to the side and looked at him interested. "You know who turned you?" she said with with surprise, and then interest. "Who was it?" Luna wondered if she knew the person. If Casper knew them personally it would be because of them making a stir in the vampire community and being a threat, so she may have heard of them too.

Casper didn't know he should actually tell Luna. Sure, she was a sweetheart, but his identity, was pretty hated among vampires. He was probably number one most wanted on the vampire hit list soooo....yeah. And if people didn't know his name, though most did, they new him by his achievements...which were sort of unbelievable.
Casper St. Clair, wasn't a name you shouted in a room full of vampires...well, sometimes it cleared the room.
"Um....." would he tell her? It was an inner struggle now. He trusted her, he supposed...and it wasn't like her and that b***h were bffs or anything. And, just because Lavinia made him, didn't mean he had to be the hunter that killed the famous Ambrosios! Right?
Casper's top lip pulled up as his fangs appeared in contempt. "Lavinia."

Luna's eyes widened and she looked at Casper with... well with a look. Like... confusion and worriedness and ... well it was definitely a look.
"Lavinia? .... " Lavinia didn't turn people... she was too... "noble" for that, she had her little minions do it....
So why would she turn Casper? It made no sense!!!
What... Luna was very confused and it showed on her face. "Why..." she didn't even know what to say she was so confused.
Why would she personally change someone? Just because?? No, she did what she wanted to but Luna knew the ancient vampiress would think changing someone to be below her.
Then what was the reason? "What did you do?!" Luna finally managed to ask. "I mean..... Lavinia doesn't just turn people..." she said.

This was what Casper had wanted to avoid! Lavina was just some name you threw around...Casper had really misjudged this! He didn't know how the hell she would react. Immediately following his murder of Ambrosios, he had gotten death threats and constant attacks...and he had killed every vampire that thought to mess with him...Casper was not well liked amongst the vampire community..at all.
"Do we have to talk about this? I mean, she's a vampire, I'm a hunter, she's bound to hate me."
Would it really matter if he told her? Worse come to worse he could defend himself and the answer he had given was s**t.
"I, I killed Ambrosios."

Luna didn't register his words for a second. But... "Ambrosios...." she looked at him, her mouth hanging open for a second. "Oh my god."' she said looking at him with wide eyes. She knew the name Casper had sounded familiar! Most just referred to him as St. Clair.
She couldn't help it, of all the hunter's she had ever heard of this had been the best, the one most efficient at his job. And she couldn't help but feel a very real fear course through her entire body and she took a few steps away from him.
Contrary to attacking him like he thought she would, she was instead terrified of him for a moment, then she realized exactly the kind of hell he had been living. Exactly the punishment that Lavina had imposed on him. "Casper... I'm so sorry." she said looking at him sympathetically.

What he hadn't expected, was for her to step back. He knew that look too, he had killed vampires who wore that look. It wasn't like he was going to jump up and attack her. If he had wanted her dead she would have been dead a long time ago.
He was about to calm her...when she expressed...sympathy?
Well Luna was just full of surprises.
"Yeah well, me too." He was really not happy with his current situation. The fact that such a monstrous vampire, one that Casper really just couldn't stand, had turned him, made it even worse.
"I'm just afraid she's not done with me. She had planned this for months, her revenge, and she's evil really, I wouldn't be surprised if my decent to hell was just the beginning."
Casper looked up at her, his chin in his hand again.
"Don't get freaked out...I'm good at my job, so if I wanted you dead, I'd have killed you already."
Just wanted to make it clear.

Luna shook her head and sighed. Well this just got a lot more interesting... and a lot more complicated. Lavina wasn't one to just let things lie. And he was now telling her not to get freaked out, "You know, your not very reassuring." she said, although the smile had returned to her face.
She believed him. If he had wanted to kill her he would have, and when they had been playing hide and seek he would have had the opportunity too. Like the perfect opportunity.
She nodded her head "Well then you'll just have to kill her too when she comes after you." she said with a nod. Which was like... treason among vampires, but she had never cared for Lavina or her lover. They thought they ruled everything and killed everyone in their path. Which was wrong. So there.

"I'm just stating the facts." He said shaking his head all business like.
When Luna spoke of killing Lavina, Casper couldn't help but raise an eyebrow. That was most certainly a first. No vampire had ever wanted Lavina dead, she was like, the Paris Hilton..no, the Angelina Jolee, no, the...she was just the rock star of the vampire world.
"Well, good to know I have you on my team if she comes busting in fangs a blazing." And for some reason...Casper found this really funny. He snorted...then cracked up.
"Luna! Why are you so weird!?" He was laughing and smiling as he said it so it couldn't be all that much of a bad thing.
